this is the best ending [sp] its been posted here before i know [/sp]
Are you definitely logged into your EA account in-game?
I get the "communication with ME2 server interrupted or has timed out" error upon starting the game with auto-login, so I'm then forced to log in manually. Before logging in and directly after the first error, I get the "cannot authorize DLC" message. However, I can't access any of the DLC in-game after logging in, and I'm pretty sure I'm connected to Cerberus Network with all the DLCs installed as well. With auto-login disabled, I have the same issue, just without the first error.
I've always seen synthesis as the best ending because it's pretty obvious that's what was intended to be the best ending with the higher cost etc. I don't care about the science behind it because it's a sci-fi game. If they say spacemagic makes everything good, well, that's what happens, even if it's pretty bad writing. I mean if there's spacemagic that can destroy the reapers and mind control them and do all that other shit it's not really a stretch to say it can create some weird pseudo-utopia. Destroy from what I saw just makes it so that eventually after millions of years ("cycles") the reapers (or the equivalent) will return anyways because someone will build them. That, OR synthetics are gone. Forever. For good. No rebuilt EDI/Geth, nothing. Or that's what I was made to think.
To be honest, the synthesis ending was a bit too much for my suspension of disbelief.
To be honest, the synthesis ending was a bit too much for my suspension of disbelief.
My suspension of disbelief was broken from all the endings, so I just chose the one that costed the most/had the best spacemagic. "Space magic instantly fixes everything in X way" is a dumb way to end it anyways. You could pick the refusal ending which is more plausible and doesn't require suspension of disbelief but that ending is depressing and makes everything you did amount to nothing at all.
I just think the Destruction ending is the one that fits the tone of the whole series the best. [editline]6th August 2014[/editline] Have to admit that the Control ending is quite believable in comparison to the Synthesis ending. Doesn't conflict with my suspension of disbelief as much.
Fuck the ending, just play the Citadel DLC, there's your ending.
To be honest, the synthesis ending was a bit too much for my suspension of disbelief.
The synthesis ending had aspects that seemed quite horrific to me. You watch a husk on Earth become "sentient" again, implying that all Reaper creations are now self-aware of their own terrible existence.
Have a fancy Garrus:

I like the Control ending only because the potential for a sequel leading to a conversation with an ageless machine Shepard would be cool as hell.
I like the Control ending only because the potential for a sequel leading to a conversation with an ageless machine Shepard would be cool as hell.
I also like it because of Makani's art involving a Reaper Shepard: [t]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/146/7/2/_me3_spoilerth__no_shepard_you_are_the_reapers_by_makani-d5183ud.jpg[/t]
Well here's a surprise for you: Casey Hudson has left Bioware. I suppose maybe it's time. I'm still happy he brought us KOTOR and Mass Effect, but if he really was heavily involved with the ending of ME3, then maybe it's time for him to take a break and start fresh.

Nor that they don't deserve it, of course

As much as I appreciate what he's done for the Mass Effect series and for Bioware, both really need a fresh start and a new image at this point considering how much of a PR disaster the past couple of years have been.
"After what already feels like a lifetime of extraordinary experiences, I have decided to hit the reset button and move on from BioWare. I'll take a much needed break, get perspective on what I really want to do with the next phase of my life, and eventually, take on a new set of challenges. Though there's never an easy time to make a change like this, I believe this is the best time for it. The foundation of our new IP in Edmonton is complete, and the team is ready to move forward into pre-production on a title that I think will redefine interactive entertainment. Development for the next Mass Effect game is well underway, with stunning assets and playable builds that prove the team is ready to deliver the best Mass Effect experience to date. And the Dragon Age: Inquisition team is putting the final touches on a truly ambitious title with some of the most beautiful visuals I've seen in a game. But while I feel that the time has come, this is without a doubt the most difficult decision of my career. BioWare is as magical a place today as it was when I started. The projects we are working on are some of the most exciting and prestigious in the world. The talent in our teams is second to none. And the people here are some of my closest friends. I've spent more time with many of you than my own family, and I have enjoyed every day of it."
Reminds me, I'm curious as to what sort of new life are we gonna have splattered over the windshield in the next game. Instead of just sticking in loads of pyjaks and Threshers
Now that Hudson has left, I'm asking myself: will Mass Effect ever be as great as it was under Hudson's lead? Or will it ever remain a shadow of its past? Or maybe will it become even greater than it was? Only time will tell.

I'm encouraged that they're bringing the MAKO back and emphasizing exploration, but I won't really be interested until they explain how the story is going to work.

Kinda bummed Casey's gone, but if it's time to move on, then it's time to move on. First Drew Karphysyn, then the doctors, Stanry Woo, and now Hudson.

The next game is not going to follow Shepard is it? I can understand why but as I [sp]chose destruction and saved almost everybody and Shepard lived[/sp] I really wish I could continue as Shepard. It would be awesome to keep playing with my crew and get to go around the galaxy with everyone knowing that we saved the galaxy etc. I mean, you sort of were a celebrity in 2 and 3 but it would be cool to play after the events of ME3.

Fuck, I'm going to miss Garrus. What I really see happening is the crew being replaced with a bunch of 2D cliches, and ME4 focusing more on gun-em-up and cinematics. I don't want to admit it, but I'm really skeptical that they'll be doing ME4 correctly.
well the crew of Mass Effect 2 greatly differed from the crew in the first game, and Vega was an alright kind of guy for the third game. Yeah i'm sure they could add an interesting new bunch for the next one

So you'll hear about Shepard and his crew's heroics. Probably rumours of him going a bit mad and making up a technological master race called the Reapers. Maybe even hear rumours about his death. But I don't think anything will be imported. Specially with the console generation leap.
