Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?

Played through ME3 again, this time on Insanity. That was rather challenging, but really fun, given how easy it became when playing on Normal or Hardcore difficulty. Also, I chose the rejection ending this time. Surprised by how brief it was and how they didn't actually count it as ending the game.
It's great how modders are re-integrating cut dialogues into ME3.

Oh, there's also Anderson's extended final dialogue.
Those, and ThaneMod which restores Thane and his romance to the top, and MEHEM of course, make me believe that some day, Mass Effect 3 will be fixed.
Today I was just minding my own business and playing Dragon Age: Origins and then suddendly the Mass Effect 3 ending happened

Heh, the Warden even looks depressed at the presence of Starkid. Also isn't that the point in the game where a drake attacks you in those ruins?

I'm now afraid.
I don't know if it's trustworthy, but it doesn't bring much new to the table. It says new races, but they're not new PLAYABLE races, just new types of NPC aliens. In the article it still says you have to play a human.
I am willing to believe they're adding vehicle and more extreme armor customization though.

Trustworthy?[/QUOTE]
That image is a older fan made thing someone did.

I was talking about the article instead.

I typically go by the rule of thumb if they can't find the proper image for an article its not legit.
It sounds much more like what Bioware has already revealed with the logical next step added to it.
does anybody know the video where shepard was talking to the councilor and the models are messed up?

I wish I knew how to do that.
That video is more horrifying than funny. What the hell.
The collector walking infront of all the councilers was just pure gold.
i always lose it at udina
I wish ME3 had some sort of LAN multiplayer, because I sometimes only have local network and want to play mutliplayer with some people, and Tunngle and Hamachi would work.
Do people still play ME3 online?
a fair amount, every time i go to play there's always a full lobby
Playing Dragon Age: Origins makes me a little sad because that game is basically what I've always imagined Mass Effect 3 would had been, for fuck's sake
The more I consider Mass Effect 3 as a whole the more I realize its issues were just due to how rushed it was. And I know who to blame for this one.
it makes me sad this thread has very little activity since ME3's ending was bad and there isn't much to say about ME4

Even before ME3 was released, I feared EA would rush BioWare into releasing ME3 as early as possible to promote Origin's launch a few months before. A lot of people joined Origin because it was the only place to get ME3 on PC, so it worked for EA. But then ME's and BioWare's reputation suffered a huge blow that they still haven't recovered from, two years later.

If you want things to discuss, there are things to discuss. Music, for instance.
Anyone else listened to Jimmy Hinson's (underrated ME2 composer) albums Max Effect and Legacy? They're full of unused ME material and tributes to the series.
Anyone else noticed how Heroes' Theme and War Machine, composed by Jack Wall for CoDBO2, sound like Suicide Mission?
Anyone else listened to all of Mass Effect 1's unused music tracks? There are literally tens of them, as awesome as the rest, never heard in-game or in the official sountrack.
So which ending is the most paragon destroy seems really renegade
synthesis is probably the most paragon but it's so ridiculous that I just try to forget it exists

Didn't the colors tip you off?

None of them are paragon or renegade, because those descriptors don't work in such a ridiculous situation. They're all fucking terrible choices ethically.
Destroy means you destroy the Reapers (along with the Geth because reasons), you are committing genocide no matter how you cut it. It has been you primary objective since the beginning of the series, however, destroy the Reapers before they wipe us out.
Control is you essentially enslaving the Reapers to do your bidding (and probably the Geth because why would they be affected by Destroy but not this?). Slavery is bad, m'kay, even if it is on Eldrich abominations that want to harvest you for food.
Synthesis is the worst because you are using Space Magic to forcibly change every living creature in the galaxy into a weird cyborg thing with green circuits all over them.
Refusal condemns the entire galaxy to death because "fuck you our endings are perfect".

Actually, the control ending revolves around [sp]Shepard uploading his conciousness into the Reapers by taking the place of the Catalyst as their directing AI. This ending also implies that Shepard will lose his/her memories as a human being and the only thing that will remain is the general imput he/she thought for the Reapers, which differs regarding your paragon or renegade score[/sp]. The whole thing can count as slavery if, given the choices you take up to this point, you have been proving the Reapers' point and therefore their current programming: else, you are just given the Reapers a new directive which benefits everyone now that what you've been doing up to this point showed them the cycle is useless.
Regarding the Geth, the destroy ending is about [sp]unleashing a wave of energy designed to severely damage advanced tech only[/sp]. This explains why the Geth too are affected and why the ending implies a dark age follows after it for the whole galaxy
Regarding the control ending, instead, the Geth (granted they survive till the final sequence) merely used a Reaper's code to make themselves self-aware and intelligent, which also involves emancipating themselves from the Reapers once and for all (notice that in this game the Mass Effect 2 decision to "correct" the Geth heretics is considered a bad outcome). So Shepard's [sp]hijacking the Catalyst in the control ending[/sp] doesn't affect them
... Never thought I'd had seen the day when I'd defend the Mass Effect 3 endings

Someone complained the thread was too inactive, so I give 3 topics to discuss and nobody responds to any :(
Music is still one of the best things in all 3 games though.

[sp]Huh? There is no Dark Age after Destroy. It Destroyed all Reaper tech and since both the geth and EDI used reaper tech they died.[/sp]
