Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?

A prequel to Mass Effect 3 is something I would love, with the same amasing characters. but unfortulately it won't make any sense unless they find a miracle. If they wish to make a prequel according to the rumors I sure hope they have the same creativity in the characters, concept and story as the 3 first games.
Can we not have a game about Kai Leng like they suggested? The guy is an asshole, and Walters already made sure we all despise his role in the game.
They were speculating on what they would LIKE to see. No-one suggested anything more than that
EDIT: 'Then' 'than' 'then' 'than.' Jesus, I've been shit at English lately
They should make Mass Effect 3: Remake.
You play as a reaper commander, and you're mission is to destroy all living things in the galaxy.
10/10 "It's descent" /IGN
What about a sort of Uncharted-and-Firefly-esque Mass Effect game?
You roll around the galaxy with your small crew, looking for valuable stuff, like Prothean stashes and ancient treasures, but sadly you lack the resources so you have to fly around the Terminus Systems and do some odd-jobs.
It'll be exciting, adventurous, action-packed, but most of all humorous.
I don't know. This was just off the top of my head. Maybe because I just finished watching the Firefly series and looked at some Uncharted gameplay on Youtube.
I personally wish they didn't flip-flop around with how the Reapers were portrayed (I accept I might be the only person who thought this). They were built up as godlike entities that could never be engaged conventionally, but all we ever really see them do is engage in conventional warfare, with the exception of Earth and Thessia. The Reaper invasion was built up as this apocalyptic event that certainly spelled doom for all, but honestly it never felt like that to me anywhere besides Earth. I dunno if that bothered anyone else but it always nags at me when I think about it.
The problem is they keep saying we can't possibly hope to beat the Reapers and then go and have small teams of 3 constantly fuck up the Reaper's plans and destroy their shit. Ofen as a side effect of doing something else.

Exactly. It'd make more sense if the Reapers were portrayed as an incredibly powerful force that, given the chance, would drive a species to extinction because "their worlds are our worlds, we can't bomb the Reapers or we're destroying what's left of our own cities, and their soldiers are our civilians," but they're still 'mortal' instead of gods. The idea that the Protheans got curbstomped by the Reapers because their one doctrine couldn't hold up could still make sense, and this cycle's remarkable resistance to the Reapers could be played off as diversity. Either that or actually make the Reapers what everyone says they are: A fleet of genocidal cuttlefish that roams around glassing worlds until there's nothing left.
Actually, that could've worked too. The game could have been about fighting Reaper ground forces without the Reapers themselves making an appearance, and the objective would be to find a definitive way to keep them out. Then there could be a plausible failure ending if the Reapers showed up and really were godlike destroyers.
Am I alone in saying that I would happily pay for Bioware go-over and create an alternative (not just a expanded) ending (eg. go with the Dark Energy one) as a DLC of some-kind? I mean for them they could at least milk some more money out of the ME3 title.
Edit:
Or they could do multiple, Pick your own ending, everyone is happy (except maybe the developers)
How about a game where you are Garrus between 1 and 2 using the Snipe Elite V2 system.

I still think a game taking place in the two year gap could be good, but I really want to see new characters and some new locales.
Same artist as that other stuff.

I just started playing ME3 again after almost a year

Does the PSN version of ME1 have any improvements over 360?

This playthrough It's going to be the first time I kill Ashley and probably Wrex.
Then in ME2 I'm going to romance Garrus.
I can understand knocking off Ashley, but why Wrex?
Eugh, killing Wrex pretty much [sp]Dooms the Krogan[/sp] Knowing that, I could never go through with it.
Wrex is the ultimate badass. I've never done a playthrough killing or not recruiting him, just because I don't want to imagine my Mass Effect experience without him.
Yeah, I know what happens and I've had him with me every other time. But I just want some change this time, I'm going to talk Mordin down.
How populated is the ME3 multiplayer? I got the urge for some mass effect recently.

It comes with the DLC "Bring Down the Sky" and "Pinnacle Station". Bring Down they Sky is a nice side mission where you take down some batarian terrorists. Pinnacle Station is pretty crap, just 4 maps where you kill a holograms, it's actually like a crappy, primative version of ME3's multiplayer without the other players.

Better visuals, lower loading times, and a smoother framerate. Plus, as Janus said, it comes with the DLC.

I very rarely wait for games on the pc.
I remember reading a stat from ME3 in this thread on how the majority of players actually didn't see Wrex come ME3. Either ME3 had gathered an entirely new audience or people are terrible.

It's probably both to some extent, but also people who didn't play ME1. ME3 automatically assumes Wrex is dead if you don't have an import, and if you start with ME2 first, I don't think you get the option unless you have the "Genesis" comic. So, basically, the people who didn't play ME1 are automatically without Wrex.

40% of people who bought ME3 had never bought another previous game, and they wouldn't see Wrex.

Thanks a bunch for the info guys!
So I recently decided to replay the trilogy and I'm at ME3, oh God, I never realized how much of a guilt trip breaking up with Miranda was.
