Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?
It's not about what it actually shows and how it all looks, it's the overall implied tone for the game which is worrying. Rather than a trailer that suggests it'll be an RPG set in a vast sci-fi universe with variety, choices and complexity it gives off a "Things go bad, better fight everything" sort of impression for the game. It entirely focuses on action rather than suggesting there's anything much deeper than that to it. The trailer should have had fewer hostile aliens and more hinting at meaningful interaction with other species or exploration with unique finds. It should have given the impression that it's an RPG and not just a Third-person action game.

(I hope) that that's more a consequence of trailer culture today than actual direction. Interviews are promising so
Considering I played 1 and 2 without dlc (I want to play them again on a clean slate) and that I own 3 but never play it, is there any dlc that I should get for 2 and 3 before I consider restarting my playthrough?
Lair of the Shadow Broker and Overlord are some the best dlc ever made for any game, period.
the Citadel DLC for ME3 is great.
Citadel is just a bunch of stupid dumb ass fanservice.
[sp]And I fucking loved it[/sp]

All of it, if you can. I can't think of any bad Mass Effect DLC, but even so, Arrival is pretty questionable. From a story standpoint, it's pretty important, but gameplay wise it's kind of bland.

The Omega DLC for 3 was pretty weak. Though I'm just annoyed at the stupid scene where[sp]Aria pulls open a force field with her biotics. There's no indication in the entire series that that is even possible and she just does it, and its hand waved off with "How did you know you could do that?" "I didn't."[/sp]
That's just bad writing.

Citadel works exceptionally well as an epilogue.
Overlord was so sad
Why is it so expansive to get all DLC... Are there any bundles or anything?

I've been wondering about that

[sp] I was really hoping there would be an outcome where you could kill her or she gets killed. [/sp]
Playing through Mass Effect 1 2 and 3 again, I didn't even get excited by the new trailer or anything it's just been ages since I played ME1 and I missed it
Worst DLC is Pinnacle Station, period. It's ridiculously hard and has completely shit rewards. ME3 Citadel reused the arcade shooter training concept infinitely better.

Unfortunately no, you have to get em via the shitty bioware points.
It's annoying that the easiest way to obtain them all is to pirate them.
Though I do not endorse this, there are torrents out there that have a simple 1 click install of all the dlcs and everything.
Oh and has there been a discussion about the anti-white (race) lead game designer of Andromeda in this thread yet?
Wait, Anti-white designers? Why are people trying to cram in racism to game devs these days?

There's a lot of shit on it.

I'm not trying to stir anything, it's probably been brought up here before. But just in case, there it is.
I had only just found out about this, so that's why I ask.
Do Bioware know about this? If my employer found this shit on my twitter and instead of white I was talking about blacks, I'd be fired on the spot.
Hope he doesn't get special treatment. I mean come on, unfollowing people just because they're white... really?

Stupid has no limits. And it applies to everyone.

I'll concede that, yeah, but the combat was still pretty solid and the locations were pretty cool imo. I'm more disappointed that they wasted Nyreen by having her be a companion for the DLC only.

Yeah, Aria sucks as a character. I liked her in ME2 but she was annoying in 3.

I just wish there was a (much) more renegade way for Shepard to approach Aria. I'm a die-hard paragon in every playthrough but I'd love to actually win a classical alpha-dominance-fight against her.

I stopped liking her when, in ME3, some how the even the Asari Councilwoman bows to her whims. I understand if she's queen of the Terminus Systems, but the Councilwoman too? What?
That and her "my way or the high way" attitude.
The Council is retarded anyway

Are you joking? His most consistent upvoters are Aaryn Flynn and Ray Muzyka.
Aria
The Gang of Four run Asari society and therefore the entire galactic economy, and their consigliere is Aria, small wonder the ambassdor sucks up.
Wait, Anti-white designers? Why are people trying to cram in racism to game devs these days?
This has been a BW thing for a very, very long time, long before it was trendy.

Wait, what? Where the fuck did this come from?
Read the codex, also listen to Javik's tirade with Liara at Thessia.

27X's stash of top-secret information 100% confirmed that should be spread around at random on the internet.

Which codex entry would it be exactly because I can't remember anything like that.

Can't find anything on the Wiki either.

Asari don't even have leaders. Their only actual representative is the councilwoman.
Also I can't find this gang of four anywhere except a fanfic and this thread. You capitalized it like "Gang of Four" so I thought it was an actual thing

My 360 decided to have an existential crisis and question the nature of it's network connection and why it needs it and As a result, It cannot detect that it has anything networked connected to it.
Now! How in the 6th circle of hell do i download the DLC citadel? and possibility shadowbroker.
It's the Gang of Five, not Gang of Four. And they're just economic elite of Illium, mentioned offhand in a war asset in ME3.
