best way to play me1 is just go adept and toss people around with the most fun physics in the series I just switch to infiltrator in 2 and 3
Is there a mod or something that makes Mass Effect 1 not awful to play, because having played mass effect 2 and 3 beforehand means its not the most fun experience.
Cheat. Give everyone pink armour with super stats. http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/PC_Cheats#In-Game_Console https://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/944902-mass-effect/cheats

Great for Normandy cutscenes and long Mako trips. Here's a good guide
Does anyone else remember how they said that you'd be able to pilot pacific rim size mechs while fighting sovereign class reapers before me3 came out? Whatever happened to that.
Does anyone else remember how they said that you'd be able to pilot pacific rim size mechs while fighting sovereign class reapers before me3 came out? Whatever happened to that.
I don't actually remember this at all, where did they promise it?
They didn't. They said there would be mechs and the journalist present whom is a notorious bullshitter to begin with inferred there would be giant mechs battling reapers in hand to hand completely of their own accord, when BioWare said nothing of the kind.
According to the German Mass Effect Facebook page they'll show the first (real) gameplay trailer during the VGAs.
hey so I'm playing ME3 now that it's backwards compatible (I played it when it was first released on PC) but I never played MP. is there a particular reason that the equipment packs and such are impossible to buy on xbox one? I won't lie, I'm the type of person that buys those packs just for a slight edge, so I'm not stuck with shitty base weapons and such. kinda annoying that MP is tied to readiness which is SP, but not all of it is apparently implemented in the backcompat version
This trailer helped me ease up a bit about the whole game. The only thing that bothered me is the whole animation department, especially the facial animation, which seems to have been taken straight from Dragon Age: Inquisition. And it sucked balls back then, just imagine witnessing it now.
So here is what I'm a bit confused about. I was under the impression that you'd arrive in Andromeda and discover all new races on new planets and all that. Why is there a fully formed outpost run by a human with krogan and turian guards? The timing of it seems off. Which I'm sure there's an explanation for, it could be any number of things. Main characters stasis pod is late opening or something like that, so all the species who left for Andromeda have had years living there before you show up. Whatever it may be. Its just that I was looking forward to only seeing a very small number of Krogan/Turian/Asari etc since they were all in the original trilogy and instead getting to know a new galaxy of species. I'm still looking forward to the game but maybe had misplaced expectations when it came to new content. Wanted more of a ME1 experience, knowing very little about the universe and its inhabitants.

Also what mainly caught my eye is how much more alive the outpost felt than anything in ME3, not sure about the UI though.
combat looks alright, pretty fast-paced facial animations somehow manage to look worse though and for some reason something about the way the faces look makes me pay way too much attention on their nose. didn't like the female voice actor at all, might actually have to play male ryder which is a bit disappointing. turian female squad mate is great though.
They're placeholder animations according to information that I've heard has been passed through several sources
but the game is coming out in a few months, how can they not have the facial animations in place by now especially for a trailer
Y'know, I think this could be a decent ME game if they nail the combat and side missions [sp]and don't end with the Catalyst dropping out of Ryder's asshole and not-Harbinger 'assuming direct control' over Remnant husks[/sp]. I'm afraid the animations may be a lost cause if they aren't placeholders though.
I'm more optimistic after seeing that trailer.
The combat is by far my favorite looking thing from that trailer; I'm interested in the semi-open-world approach they're taking, but still a little cautious on it. Overall I agree that the trailer made me more optimistic for the game, hopefully BioWare can clean up some of the animation hiccups; as long as there's good writing on top of it, all should be well. If there's not, hey, at least it looks like it'll have bomb-ass multiplayer.
I'm not sure how to feel about this. Combat looks like something taken from Halo, lots of running and jumping. I'd prefer a more tactical approach. Facial animations are completely off, but it's a WIP. Feels a lot like Dragon Age: Inquisition in space so far. Without its Hinterlands, I hope. I don't know why everybody feels it's a good idea to ram "open-world" everywhere, though. The thing about Mass Effect was, that it had an engaging story. This looks like you're just gonna go on a space adventure without strings attached. What stands out from the trailer is... that nothing actually stands out. It looks like something I've seen at least a hundred times before somewhere else.
Confirmation that the facial animations are still being worked on form MEA's producer. Still though. Probably won't be that great in the final version.
I can deal with wonky animations, I think the combat looks pretty neat, but please god do not let Andromeda have a Hinterlands section, and definitely not a shit ton of hours worth of fetch quests and resource foraging to go with it, it made Dragon Age inquisition a total chore with something interesting only happening every 3-5 hours

[editline]2nd December 2016[/editline] The planets will also have the more exploration based fluff that you can discover for loot and upgrades, but they've stressed that it's not required.
any fetch quests,
They said nothing of the kind. They said they were trying to avoid making everything a fetch quest. Secondly "scan this _____" is a fetch quest without the carrying and there are a metric shit ton of scanning and acquisition quests.

There is a statement from Flynn saying that the Dragon Age Inq fetch quest system was bad and that they learned what not to do from there, which is a step forward imo.

Oh fuck Avina's back to make us suffer.
You'll have to romance her unless you want her telling the reapers where the arks went.
so I finished a nice long, me1 play through recently and took the save over into me2 with the intent of doing a full run again I've only finished omega and I'm already considering putting myself on suicide watch
