• Mass Effect Megathread: He said "I should go." Do I sound like that?

Citadel was the best because it didn't take itself at all seriously, just pure fan service. It didn't make up for the ending, but it was still enjoyable

god damnit you beat me to it. I literally got goosebumps from the exploration video!
Those environments look sick as fuck
They're not all out yet. Still 5/6 briefings.
I'm dumb and thought the new video was the final briefing. Ignore me.
As of now, my feeling about Andromeda is the same I had when I finished Dragon Age: Inquisition. Nearly everything will be better than the contested predecessor, the lore will be interesting, I'll get pissed at the "we can open world too!" elements in my face and the main story will suck balls
But DAI's main story was quite good, except for the villain that has a great introduction but nothing else.
But DAI's main story was quite good, except for the villain that has a great introduction but nothing else.
Well, Inquisition's story is kickstarted and managed mainly by said villain. So ...
About the Genophage: it makes it so, rather than getting 1000 babies per clutch, they only get one. Problem is, Krogan are sapient r-strategists, and being forced into the reproduction rate of a K-strategist, rather than switching them into K-mindset ("we should care for each individual so we keep going"), turned them into r-despair ("we survived because there were many who died, now we are few so we are doomed"). Kinda funny that the Salarians, r-strategists bar none, came up with that. (And, for the record, the Asari are extreme K-strategists, with their 4 decades of childhood, century until sexual maturity, and half millenium until usual reproductive age.)
But DAI's main story was quite good, except for the villain that has a great introduction but nothing else.
Ugh corypheus was such a bummer. His intro scene was AWESOME and then he just becomes a literal shitty villain. You so effortlessly prevent all of his plans that you wonder why the game expects him to be a threat all the time.
Why does Bioware keep mirroring the earth? [t]http://i.imgur.com/NJdrafx.png[/t] This also happened in ME1 when you were on the moon. If you can't tell, the area I circled in red is Florida.

9:03 - The familiar "upright-hands-behind-the-back" animation returns. Good to know some things never change.

After that, his forces are on their back foot the whole game and after Haven he never makes another move against you. He's losing from the beginning while you just go from victory to victory. Without conflict there is no drama. Some of the writers admitted they should've had more "Corpheus strikes back" moments in the back half of the game, so hopefully someone at Bioware has learned from this. Or relearned it. Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 1 had excellent give-and-take plots.
These videos build my hype for this game. Then they show something involving Femryder and I cringe.
In that 13 Minute video, they said 'the first wave of Arks'
They're best to be done around the midpoint anyway. [editline]3rd March 2017[/editline] Preferably when you have a full squad
Actually, FA is best done after you have garrus because A sarcastic Bro*Force extreme and B the PPR with Squad Incend and explosions does 7000 dps, which means even if you somehow suck at the game you can cruise Insanity on by like a breeze.
One minor thing I hope that never plague's Andromeda is not seeing Ryder with the default weapons like in ME3 or holding the pistol like it's an assault rifle. It always caught me off guard from having my current weapon in a cutscene to suddenly in another one Shepard has the M-8 Avenger or Predator that I never equipped.

Happens constantly in my current playthrough of ME3

Nothing quite like playing through The Old Republic as a commando, with a cannon roughly the size of my body, only to pull out a pistol to threaten the bad guys instead of the weapon that can punch a hole in the Death Star's hull.
My favorite is holding the Particle Rifle like a pistol. Happens constantly in my current playthrough of ME3
That shit was even funnier with the Revenant
One thing that disappointed me about the game's intro is [sp] the fact they didn't use the Mass Effect theme somewhere in the first few minutes[/sp], this is disappointing because one of the press previews claimed that they did play it in the intro. I honestly don't know what to think of the soundtrack, what we hear in the first 13 minutes isn't anything to write home about, but what we can hear from the recent gameplay series sounds really, really good.

I thought they were going to turn him into some recurring villain who's an absolute nightmare to take out and antagonises you constantly. Instead he's barely in the game and when he is he's generic as fuck.
I've come down with the flu at the moment, and trying to replay 2 is a nightmare. I can't remember if I should do the current loyalty missions I have (and recruit missions) before talking to the illusive man, and going to the collector [del]base[/del] ship for the first time. Someone be a doll, and remind me which I should do first. Thank you <3
If you mean the Collector ship level, I'd say do whatever loyalty/recruit missions you have first beforehand.
Yes I did, and thank you.
