Is it all TIE Fighters, or just the special forces ones that Finn and Poe stole? I remember them saying that those TIEs were special ones.
The standard Imperial TIEs at least, don't know about any of the variants. Source: Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide
Also, those are FO TIEs, aren't they? Empire TIEs don't have internal life support?
Also, those are FO TIEs, aren't they? Empire TIEs don't have internal life support?
Read my last post. [editline]16th July 2017[/editline] According to an interview at E3, Iden's homeworld, Vardos, will not be a Multiplayer map. But they might make it one if the demand is high enough.
Oh, huh. I guess TIEs are less shit now.
Only in the life support department. They're still essentially flying coffins
Only if you're not good at flying them  [editline]17th July 2017[/editline] But yeah, I'd rather be in an A-Wing.
I like how much of a u turn this game seems to be from the first with classes, good map design that has multiple points of attack and defense, and a point system that rewards skill but not so much that you can solo the opposing faction without being a Wiley mofo. Seems like a good game so far and I rarely say that. Now if only there was space to ground...
I don't think space to ground would have been as fun as people think it would have been. Sure it would have have been cool. But I think it would have split the players up too much.
I wonder if they're going to get John Boyega to voice Finn They obviously didn't get Daisy Ridley, but John has been involved with the marketing, so I can't see him not doing it. Oof those youtube comments.
I was rewatching the Celebration trailer for BF2 and noticed something, that Inferno squad member aiming at Luke isn't Iden, it is Del Meeko [t]http://i.imgur.com/1YbXp1M.png[/t] Each of the three squad members have unique gear. And they're consistent with wearing it through out the trailer.
That's what bots are for
DICE won't do bots in the online modes. They did them for Fighter Squadron in the first game but I've yet to see anything indicating they'll do it for the second game. Though your point does stand: they would just use bot starfighters. But at this present time, the game does not allow you to 'escape' your ship in the same manner the old games did, in which you could take off and land and then leave the ship without it exploding immediately.
That's what bots are for
But you never have more bots then the player count. I was talking about Free Radicals BF3, not DICE.
But you never have more bots then the player count. I was talking about Free Radicals BF3, not DICE.
Same difference, played the free radical Cato nemoidia and corescant map remakes in bf2 and I can say bots added to the fight with the whole dogfight thing while I was getting minigunned by clone troopers that need a nerf on the ground. You can have more bots than players but the thing is you have to keep bot exposure to a minimum. maybe a few ground units to even out the teams until someone joins in the lobby and use the space fights as a kind of bot limbo when people start joining. Also bot commands are fun

"AHHH, MY MOUTH IS DRY" I feel like that was an outtake that someone forgot to remove :v:
"Inspiring words, NOW FIGHT!" I kind of hope they keep these in as rare lines.

The Inferno Squad TIE's have red stripes on them. You can just barely make them out in the story trailer (the thumbnail is photoshop)
Someone found evidence of the TX-130 (the republic Tank from the old BFs) in a text string in the Alpha files. More weapons and vehicles also found. Including the Hyena droid bomber from Clone Wars. MAJOR STORY SPOILERS IN THIS POST https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/6ok0fo/spoilers_more_datamining_discoveries/ I'll post the weapon and vehicles names here if you want to avoid the spoilers Vehicles: X-Wing Y-Wing A-Wing Millennium Falcon T-47 Airspeeder 74-Z Speeder Bike (The text string in SWBFII is more specific than SWBF1) TIE Fighter TIE Interceptor AT-ST TIE Bomber TX130 ARC-170 Tri-Fighter Hyena Bomber X-34 Landspeeder Slave 1 TIE Advanced X1 Tauntaun Weapons: A280 A280C A280-CFE Anti-Vehicle Missile (For the AT-ST) Barrage Blurrg-1120 "BOBA FETT" (In the previous game this string was for the Companion App.) Bodyguard Bowcaster (Notably, it appears to be an actual weapon rather than a star card this time. Listening to those videos of the First Order and Imperial guys, there were multiple references to a "Strike Craft", so I was wondering what that was and if it meant the tank from the original BF's. Good to know thats what it probably is.
Even if they didn't have them, they'd need those lines for the rumoured Fantasy game mode which may allow to mix era factions.
I hope that each faction has a fucking vehicle equivalent. Fuck you "Rebels don't have a land craft"
I hope that each faction has a fucking vehicle equivalent. Fuck you "Rebels don't have a land craft"
That's funny in an ironic way because their mobile SAM tanks were fucking monsters in the first bf2. Infantry or armor you were dead.
They guy who predicted the E3 Demo/Alpha almost perfectly is back again with info on the Gamescom Demo (which will probably also be the basis of the Beta) https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/6otvhj/some_updates_for_space_battle_fans_gamescom/ Turns out the ship with the cloak might not be the TIE Silencer, but the Scimitar, Darth Maul's ship It does have a cloak in the current canon.

You don't need to do every single mission, the class story missions are where the meat of the game is.
I just tried out SWTOR hoping to find something at least vaguely like KOTOR. I spent the entire afternoon and all night playing hoping for it to get better but it did not. Go here and get this item and come back. Okay, now go there and get that item and come back. Hey can you go and get these four items so we can get a different item on the next mission? It doesn't help that every destination is separated by 20 minutes of walking. The conversion interactions seem to have no outcome whatsoever, unlike KOTOR. I find myself just mashing the 1 key because it doesn't matter what I say anyways. I tried sinking a fair amount of time into it for it to get better but I'm not seeing it. Is this game shit or have I not given it enough time?
It's an MMO and you went into it expecting it to be something it's not. Treat it like an MMO and not a single player rpg and you might enjoy it more. I see the same thing happen with ESO too, people forget the fact that it's an MMO and that its going to play like one instead of its solo focused inspiration.
Star Wars: The Old Republic has gone downhill since the end of the Knights of the Fallen expansion due to a very questionable RNG gear growth system (which, at the time I'm writing this, is still up in spite of the uproar of basically the entire playerbase since its implementation) and the adamant refusal from the developers to come up with new content at a pace considered reasonable for a MMORPG
