Interesting that they still haven't given the Death Trooper the correct weapon, instead arming it with the DLT-19. (One of the weapons Death Troopers carry in Rogue One is a modified, single-shot version of the DLT-19 with a scope and a pair of torches in place of the folding tripod - but that variant has never been given an official name)
I want to see the E-11D
I want the E-22.
I hope BF2 is actually... fun. I just want to have a blast with a Star Wars game again
First Order Flame Trooper render And a 1080p version of that Deathtrooper image http://i.imgur.com/sxQbznn.png
I'm not really feeling the design for the helmet very well. It looks like a phase 1 trooper wannabe imperial
It looks like a phase 1 trooper wannabe imperial
I'm not seeing the resemblance.
Looks good to me, like some futuristic knight helmet.
Two new images: Wookiee: [t]http://i.imgur.com/si3cH4D.jpg[/t] B2 Rocket Droid: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Yqqqgcs.png[/t] A dev also confirmed that Deathtroopers will have their garbled voices in BF2. [editline]10th August 2017[/editline] and he seems to have confirmed that Death Troopers will get their proper weapons. I guess the models are not done yet..? [editline]10th August 2017[/editline] Also more planet based clone designs possibly
B2 Rocket Droid: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Yqqqgcs.png[/t]
That is extremely disappointing. There are all sorts of different and unique droids they could have gone for, two B2 Battledroid variants seems a bit lazy unless there are more.
That is extremely disappointing. Edit: Huh Dennis confirmed back in July that the Droid commander voice is indeed meant to be a T-Series Tactical Droid.
GamesCom Space Battles info https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/starwars/battlefront/battlefront-2/news/space-battles-gamescom
Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II is roaring into Gamescom with a never-before-seen trailer and a live gameplay debut of Starfighter Assault mode, including the all-new multiplayer space combat. You'll be able to watch the gameplay reveal live on August 21 at 05:30 PM BST, which will pit two teams of your favourite Star Wars™ Game Changers against one another in a multi-stage original trilogy-era space battle. Teams will face off in a swirling dogfight in the Fondor: Imperial Shipyard map, weaving around an Imperial Star Destroyer complete with speedy fighters, thundering bombers, distinct hero ships, and more. Will the brave pilots of the Rebel Alliance triumph against the Imperial Navy, or will the intrepid aces of the Galactic Empire foil the insurgents’ plans? The livestream will be your first glimpse at the vastly improved starfighter combat, with superior controls, deeper customization, and role-based team play featuring an all new class-based system. Tune in on August 21 at 05:30 PM BST at EA.com to see it in action, and then get ready to try it yourself. Fondor: Imperial Shipyard will join the Theed Galactic Assault map in the beta starting October 6 (or October 4 if you pre-order*).
[editline]11th August 2017[/editline] That says there will be classes in space huh
Maybe bombers and fighters etc are classes now? I don't know if they're doing old school hanger spawns
Maybe bombers and fighters etc are classes now? I don't know if they're doing old school hanger spawns
AFAIK they haven't changed how spawning works in space combat.

FONDOR SHIPYARD HYPE BOYOS
Guys, what if they're still too stupid to realize that us wanting "Space Battles" didn't mean just maps in space
Knowing EA, they probably are.
Guys, what if they're still too stupid to realize that us wanting "Space Battles" didn't mean just maps in space
I pretty much assumed from the moment they were announced that there weren't going to be hangers.
There is a game mode where you have to destroy capital ships, but I don't think it is Starfighter Assault, I could be wrong.
Guys, what if they're still too stupid to realize that us wanting "Space Battles" didn't mean just maps in space
Has there actually been anything to suggest that this isn't just the Fighter Squadron gamemode set in space?
Has there actually been anything to suggest that this isn't just the Fighter Squadron gamemode set in space?
AFAIK Starfighter Assault is Fighter Squadron. There is are capital ships you can fly around, but it isn't the objective.
Teams will face off in a swirling dogfight in the Fondor: Imperial Shipyard map, weaving around an Imperial Star Destroyer complete with speedy fighters, thundering bombers, distinct hero ships, and more. References were found in the Alpha files, and it is implied on the official website:
Wage war in spectacular space battle scenarios. Weave between asteroids, fly across Imperial Dock Yards, and take down massive capital ships.
Though I find it very unlikely you'll be able to land in them.
never forget [t]http://i.imgur.com/BOCuMpL.png[/t] [editline]15th August 2017[/editline] New image of Fondor from BF2 [t]http://i.imgur.com/IpNKAC2.png[/t] [editline]15th August 2017[/editline] That looks like a Arquitens-class light cruiser
I can't wait to see a Venator in Frostbite. Shit's gonna look so good.
Can't wait to see anything Star Wars not included in the first BF in Frostbite.
https://www.twitch.tv/samwitwer/ Sam Witwer and Janina Gavankar (Iden in Battlefront II) are playing Star Wars games
Saw a picture in the Fallout thread that made me think of the Hailfire Droid, have we heard anything about those being in Battlefront II? I'd really like seeing those fuckers show up again, rapid fire rockets.
i never quite figured those out in BF1, the rockets were fun as hell to fire but i never hit anything with them
If you fire enough bullets at an enemy, you've got a better chance of hitting them. Same philosophy can be applied to Hailfire Droids really, just launch about 80 rockets at someone and at least one is going to make contact.

Or by sneaky Clones against the Techno Union Ships.
