Oh good, the same bullshit that they tried to use to excuse the fact that they couldn't be assed to make multiple vehicles for each side, but in reverse
Nah, I understand this. Hero vehicles are already unique, so why would you want to customize it? If you slap decals on it and change stuff around, you're not flying the Millennium Falcon anymore and you lose that fantasy aspect of flying a ship that you know and recognize. Also there's not enough in movie variants of each ship to warrant multiple skins.
There's -no customization- for ships, at all, not just hero ones
There's -no customization- for ships, at all, not just hero ones
Oh, in that case that's kinda dumb. At least like squadron markings or something would have been neat.
Some of the pre-order bonuses are the 'The Last Jedi' looks for the Millennium Falcon, Kylo Ren and Rey. So there is some sort of cosmetic system going on for heroes. Looks (other then the forementioned heroes) is probably tied to maps. [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] We know already that trooper looks will change based planets, there will be snowtroopers on Hoth/Starkiller. Clones will wear Phase 1 armour on Kamino.

Y-Wings and X-Wings are not the same class. If they had a Scarif ground map, have the X-Wings be Blue Squadron. Battle of Yavin, X-Wings will be Red Squadron. Scarif space could be mixed X-wings. [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] Also don't hotlink from wikia sites, they shrink the images.

Still it would be pretty cool, I always liked how you get all sorts of different squadrons in XvT series.
Squad's are also randomized, so if you allowed mixed colours, you'll have Blue and Red in the same wing for example which doesn't make much sense. [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline]
Oh, my bad. Wasn't sure what you meant.
Yeah, I should have specified better. [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] I saw a theory on reddit, which makes too much sense, as to why they're allowing cross era heroes. Money: People who buy the crates with power upgrades want to use them, when they use them they'll want to spend more money to get crafting parts or an upgraded version of the power. Whats the point of customizing your heroes (and spending money) if you only used them in one third of the content? It is the same reason why each trooper class has a cross-era weapon with customization.
The cross era heroes and stuff is actually really disappointing to me. Literally why?
The cross era heroes and stuff is actually really disappointing to me. Literally why?
There reasoning is fantasy.
There reasoning is fantasy.
I can understand that the games are already a "what if" scenario with characters like Boba and Palpatine still being around after their Deaths, but sticking all the characters in every era just goes well beyond that and completely breaks the immersion. It also feels somewhat lazy, in a way.
The Bryar Pistol is in SWTOR :v: [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/188015782716899328/350297356694192149/image.png[/t] [editline]24th August 2017[/editline] they made a rifle version of it too. In legends lore, Kyle's pistol was a cut down from a rifle. [t]http://i.imgur.com/MaVvEPK.png[/t] I had to get it for my Merc [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/215926259199246346/350326199337091072/image.png[/t]

Still looks nothing like the original though. DICE just recreated it by using some real gun parts, like other weapons in the Star Wars universe. I think the Battlefront design is my favourite version. [editline]24th August 2017[/editline] The Battlefront/SWTOR version actually looks closer to the Dark Force 2 version then the Jedi Outcast version does.
Bryar is so fun to use in Battlefront 2015. Sure the primary fire is ass but the secondary fire turns it into a sniper pistol. Seriously I've killed people halfway across the map with it (even got accused of hacking once which I took as a compliment, means I have good aim haha). :v: As far as having the gun in SWTOR...meh. I mean it's cool the design is there but it does nothing for me at this point. Between the story direction, the cartel market, the stale combat system and some other personal gripes I have, I just can't bring myself to go back to that game.
A new story flashpoint came out today set on Umbara. Their fighters look identical to how they did in the Clone Wars TV series. Guess their technology doesn't change at all in the next 3000 years :v: (or however long ago this is from the CW) Mind you don't get close to one, they're just high in the sky.
I miss the unnerfed Bryar pistol in EAFront. I remember getting killed with it once and asked the person that did it. "How the fuck did you do that?" "Dude it ones shots most vehicles." Sure enough I started sniping air vehicles if they got close to the ground and 3-4 shotting ATSTs. It honestly made the game a little more fun because it wasn't as OP at the EE4,SC14, and EE3 combo hands, it was just straight up hope you hit your moving target. Even better IIRC the damage from the fully charged shot was around 400 damage so you could 3-4 shot most heroes with it as well do a whopping 1% total damage to an ATST. Shoot it 10 times and you burn a lot of it's HP. Combine with Ion Shot and Ion Torpedo you basically were a fuck vehicles guy
I just picked up BF2015. Is the DLC basically dead? Because I am having no luck finding a match.
Seems like it...
So far the game looks great even on PS4 Pro ... after all the coverage I saw and the no season pass fact ( I mean.. barely anyone is playing any DLC ).. I'm starting to look forward for the game
I thought it looked kinda boring at first but starfighter assault is definitely growing on me. It looking pretty nice actually with how you can go all out objective mode by going in as a bomber class instead of a regular fighter. I think the sense of speed is kinda lost due to how friggin' big everything actually is. I have to try it out before judging. It didn't feel slow in the alpha but Theed did on the other hand have an annoyingly restrictive map border.
I'll just repost this
I just picked up BF2015. Is the DLC basically dead? Because I am having no luck finding a match.
Might be lucky on the weekends. Most people only played the DLC for the broken as shit guns it gave out. Console might be more favorable than PC though.
On console you can still sometimes find DLC games last I played, plus there was a recent sale(5 bucks for the season pass) so it's probably more active there at least on ps4. I'm glad they're doing free maps so this never happens again.
Possible leaked audio from the BF2 Sounds like Maz's castle.

Well its not Bf2#2 but its something fun to pass the time waiting for it. Hopefully they fixed the nasty stuttering problem that developed as the game progressed. I'm surprised at how far along this mod has come actually, normally big projects like this get canned because of either lack of interest or disorganization but this project is still going strong with content to back it up. Crazy dedicated devs man. I'm not sure where they're getting the map layouts though. very few functional copies of the free radical battlefront exist and they're all for Xbox (that we know of). They're probably eyeballing it but who knows. Edit: Just tested it out. Unfortunately the stuttering problem is still there but oh damn is it fun before the problem arises. Bespin is by far one of the better maps though, On the ground Cato Nemoida feels like 2fort in Team Fortress 2 and Coruscant just feels like a damn slog because of how small it is and how dominant tanks are. Bespin is layed out to where the command posts are put out vertically and at the bottom of the map is where the two teams spawn, It feels kind of like a reinforced "race" to see who can grab the furthest command post first however the main fighting area is in the southernmost section of the map. an interesting dynamic to seperate who cares about winning and who cares about killing. It can be choke pointy at times but its way better than the other two. Oh yeah and shotguns have a really tight spread and feel awesome to use. Go give it a try!
technological improvement generally seems like an unknown idea in the star wars universe
Usually, but the whole point of the Umbarans is that they have advanced tech.
