Are there any essential mods that will improve my experience of playing KotOR and KotORII? I remember last time I wanted to get into KotOR I lasted about 2h of campaign then played KotORII and also lasted about 2h until I felt like not playing it anymore. Something about the gameplay probably made me feel very strange while playing it, so I'm thinking if there are any good mods that can make the whole game feel better overall to play.
yeah nothing really comes to mind in terms of mods for gameplay changes. you're kinda just stuck with the way the game is, which I personally love but I can see how it might be hard for some to get into.
They have alien language swears.
Han said ‘see you in hell’ once, and there have been a few ‘damns’ but that is as close as we’ve gotten
I cant remember which ones it was, but I distinctly remember some of the other leaked voice lines for Battlefront 2 having a few "shit"s mixed in there
And if the game is rated 'T' like the last one, they're probably not going to use them.

To be fair, Battlefield: Bad Company had a lot of swearing and profanity and it was still only rated T. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was only rated M because they added blood when people got shot. But also this is a Star Wars game so they probably wont say "shit".
Good point.
LucasFilm may not allow it however.
They could have recorded it as a 'maybe', or it was just part of the improv.

A poster on reddit thinks they're these:
Naboo
Kamino
Kashyyyk
Endor
Death Star II
Hoth
Mos Eisley
Yavin IV
Jakku
Takodana
Starkiller Base

Reminder, Galactic Assault is the 20v20 ground based game mode.

also is TOR skippable? I remember trying it out once and got bored instantly with the gameplay and never touched it again, but if it has cool story, nice locations and gameplay is any better than I remember then I wouldnt mind trying it out again. Although I remember it being called a grind fest, which I will not touch considering how I'll already be busy enough with expansion for Guild Wars 2 coming out this Friday.

They updated the levelling system, you don't need to do as many quests as you used to.
Everything flows better, every quest you need to do is near each other.
There is no 'grinding' if all you're doing is SP content.

I wonder how a Death Star II Galactic Assault would work, GA is a ground gamemode with objectives, so I'm not really sure why they could do. they don't need to follow the story, they didn't with Scarif and the Death Star DLC.

Speaking about leaks, some guy with a bunch of insider access said Ahsoka is confirmed for being a space announcer. Just not a hero, yet.

hm alright I'll think about trying it out again some time later if I will have time. I'm certain I won't even bother with anything in ToR that isn't story because I have my hands full with GW2 in that area.
The Ground Assault could have a bunch of hangars connected together somewhere on the surface level or deep within the Star.

That guy was just regurgitating other leaks, info we already know or speculation.
not sure if I trust him
I wonder how Death Star 2 is going to work. Will we get another trench (hole?) run or will that be put into a Starfighter Assault map instead?
It will be interesting to see how many small maps there are as well. I'm still hoping for a throne room map with hero battles in mind. I wanna recreate the Vader/Luke fight so bad.

Galactic Assault a ground game mode so it won't have that.
If they make a Starfighter Assault DS2 map, it will probably be the attack from ROTJ.
My fantasy version, it would be the Space battle above enfor, then flying over the surface of the DS2, and then flying inside it.
How awesome would it be if they went for a gamemode around the opening scene of ROTS with Grevious, Anakin, and Grevious' capital ship?
I feel like they have the potential for so many sweet scenarios by including PT, I just hope they do something with it other than a non-canon Republic attack on Theed.
It’s the CIS attacking Theed not the Republic
When will they do playable Ewoks?

You're right, but not really my point. I just hope the whole prequel era isn't a lame reskin with nothing really interesting to add. I'm excited but skeptical.
Not sure how you can call that a Reskin.

You mean... like the sequel era?
I think, the prequel era just needs a lot of AI to play the battledroids. Because, you know they sorta get into formations and are total cannon fodder, and I think it'd be quite inaccurate to go without that. The droid armies are supposed to outnumber the clones 10-1, and I think players could come up with some strategies utilising walls of bots in front of them. The clone wars was a much bigger conflict than anything OT or ST. Columns of Battledroids could be like the AT-ATs of the empire; Huge forces that need to be stopped, on a pre-set path of destruction through the level. A couple of clone bots thrown in would add to the epic scale of it.
I think, the prequel era just needs a lot of AI to play the battledroids. Because, you know they sorta get into formations and are total cannon fodder, and I think it'd be quite inaccurate to go without that.
this is a terrible idea. you should've stopped that train of thought at "making one side of a multiplayer game with players on both teams expendable meat (or metal) shields".
you have a shitton of droids, more than clones on the opposing team. if you keep their health the same, the killbots will be a steamroller army that bogs down the enemy players with NPCs while their own players can take potshots at them from behind the AI units. the clones have no chance of properly countering a huge horde of what's basically not only distractions, but distractions with the durability of players and that can shoot back, no matter how inaccurately. you can of course drop the health of the bots and keep the player health bars the way they are, but that results in an army where every player is suddenly some sort of an elite droid that shoots straighter and takes more damage, in a game where everyone except the specials are supposed to be GRUNTS. and what if you drop the health for the whole team?
do you want to play a brittle skeleton that gets knocked out by one lazily-aimed headshot from a rookie player? do you want to have the CIS constantly losing games because half of their army is dumb AI that, combined with the brittleness, eliminates any chance of cooking up a winning strategy against the all-player elite clone army? do you want to witness and get caught up in the massive internet rage that would result from hundreds of complaints regarding the game's complete imbalance?
the only way this could work would be to prop up the Republic side with AI and drop their health bars to the same level with the droids.
Plus it wouldn't be kind to the netcode.
that too
Titanfall does a great job with multiplayer pvp npcs.
but they are on both teams, yes? the thing we're talking about here would turn only one of the teams into bots
More like
The CIS gets a load of totally incompetent bots that move together. IMO players shouldnt be the standard battle droids but rather stuff like commandos, superbattledroids, droidekas, magnas, squishy organic ETC.
The clones get a couple of competent bots added to the map.
Maybe as a cool feature you could spawn as a "sergeant" and have a few NPC characters under your command.
IMO players shouldnt be the standard battle droids but rather stuff like commandos, superbattledroids, droidekas, magnas, squishy organic ETC.
and i'm glad the developers don't share that view, because it goes against the core idea of Battlefront, even the new ones.
It would be fun as a different game, but not battlefront.
So far it looks like that guess was good

Coruscant would be nice. Heck, any planet like Utapau, Cato Nemoidia, or Mygeeto would be welcome.
Played KOTOR and at one moment I just felt like I had enough of it, it just didn't feel that fun to me. I'll give KOTOR2 a shot, I know that they are more or less the same game just upgraded a bit, but maybe the setting and overall atmosphere will get me more interested in it. I've been playing SWTOR for couple of hours, and I have to say I'm surprised. Last time I played it, it wasn't that fun. I've read what the best storylines in the game are and created Imperial Agent(Sniper, specifically) and the story is actually quite cool. Gameplay feels better than when I tried it two years ago, probably because I think the division between classes didn't exist before. I can feel the F2P stamp on the game, as almost everything just screams "SUBSCRIBERS CAN DO THIS!" in my face, but I don't mind as long as I can complete main game content and its story completely. I doubt I can afford investing into TOR(and I've heard it's not a good idea too), and it reminds me of DCUO for which I paid monthly fee(like £6) for Premium, and I didnt even play that much.
