Dunno why they'd extend it, it's not like there's anything else worth seeing now, oh yeah just let me play the same shit even more.
Probably because of the delay for some of the early starters. There were issues on PS4 and other platforms of not getting keys, keys not redeeming or not downloading.
Would be nice to throw in a new map.......kamino please
Would be nice to throw in a new map.......kamino please
That feels unlikely, I doubt the beta is set up to do that. None of the stuff, outside of the VO are in the files.
The beta didn't impress me that much. The base combat is good but Naboo (while I love the idea of it) was pretty horrible. Heavy was the best class and I liked Strike on Takodana, other than that the squad system seems shallow and the longevity of the game poor.
Thing was already gone when you crashed into it, 0/10, can't even sacrifice oneself properly.
It looked cool though :frown:
I really hope they balance the star cards. I got one for the bomber fighter and I can immediately tell the difference with my guns not overheating as often. Should be 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 % at most for each card. Things like boosting things 25% to 80% isn't fair in the slightest.
some Darth Vader stuff, including gameplay https://www.ea.com/games/starwars/battlefront/battlefront-2/heroes/darth-vader [editline]9th October 2017[/editline] the footage is all from maps not seen in the Beta [editline]9th October 2017[/editline] the Rey gameplay is all new as well.
Oh Starkiller Base looks like it's going to be sweet
Honestly naboo seems pretty bad, at the start i barely see anyone (and you can get shot as soon as you start the match??) And it's just like sniper heaven and then it becomes meatgrinder inside. I liked the 16 player map from tfa tho
I think I would definitely consider purchasing BFII if it wasn't for RNG bullshit with cards that give you 15% more firerate on starfighter guns, what the fuck is that
The cards should have downsides other then just taking up a slot for another useful one. Increased fire-rate but less damage? More damage but overheats faster? I'm not cancelling my pre-order though, I'm only paying $40 it thanks to the E3 week sale on Amazon.
The footage on Rey's page has a Twilek Resistance trooper appear for a second. Visual customization 100% confirmed?
The footage on Rey's page has a Twilek Resistance trooper appear for a second. Visual customization 100% confirmed?
Or it could be random on spawn. But I wouldn't be surprised if species were an option. I hope it is an option. There are a bunch of alien heads in the beta files. [editline]9th October 2017[/editline] Saw this on reddit, left side in BF1 right side if BF2, they really did improve the model. Very noticeable on the chin [t]https://i.redd.it/h065ahz5wqqz.jpg[/t] [editline]9th October 2017[/editline] Judging the progression system on the Beta seems to be the wrong thing to do as evidenced here https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/75b67t/spoiler_the_kamino_leak_that_a_lot_of_people/ The leaked Kamino footage shows there are a lot more ways to progress in the full game then what is shown in the beta
The more I play Strike the more I feel that the map we are given with the Castle is just very unbalanced. I finished in first place on my team(Officer with Blurrg quad-burst is :ok:) but man we were really close to bringing the artifact to objective and there's was the whole team waiting for us there, that's just not fun when it feels like the enemies constantly spawn right on the objective and unless you are playing Officer it's very easy to notice First Order troops in the distance :saddowns:
some Darth Vader stuff, including gameplay https://www.ea.com/games/starwars/battlefront/battlefront-2/heroes/darth-vader [editline]9th October 2017[/editline] the footage is all from maps not seen in the Beta [editline]9th October 2017[/editline] the Rey gameplay is all new as well.
noticed that the footage shown for both of them has them in their correct eras too, so hopefully (and what i've assumed) it's all era/map locked for heroes unless that was confirmed before and i missed it
noticed that the footage shown for both of them has them in their correct eras too, so hopefully (and what i've assumed) it's all era/map locked for heroes unless that was confirmed before and i missed it
Not quite - Vader's has him fighting Resistance guys on Jakku, which is a Sequel era map this time round. Tbh cross-era heroes don't bother me a huge deal - they're rare enough that you're not going to be seeing too much of them anyway.
So do officers just blow or something? Or am I just awful with them?
I'm probably going to pick this one up despite the horrible microtransactions, I'm just craving a good Star Wars game. Definitely not buying any crates but I used to play Planetside 2 so I have experience with horribly unfair games, anyway. Still hope enough of an outrage gets brought up over this that changes are possible, but I have my doubts.
So do officers just blow or something? Or am I just awful with them?
The turret ability can be a nasty surprise in the wrong situation, the grenades are ridiculously obnoxious, and the AOE squad armor can be a godsend during a push. He's just a lot more situational than other classes, you might want to replace one or two of his abilities if it really bothers you. I kind of like his pistol, the spread and recoil of the default makes it a lot more reliable than some of the other guns.
Tbh Battlefront 1 felt more star warsey than BF2 mostly because you can keep the chaos going with the lack of weapon spread and need to ADS. Not to mention the better music system and particle effects in place that makes the whole thing feel magical much like the movies. I mean I like the current class system and TTK of BF2, but I feel that they could've achieved the same effect without having to add the weapon spread that just arbitrarily slows the gameplay down.
I felt weirdly the same, and I think it was mostly because of the combat, too. I really enjoyed Battlefront 1's base shooter gameplay and this just feels weird and wrong even though I'm liking everything else around it. I hate that "yeah, it's not even worthwhile firing at this guy" feeling I get while trying to put down a moving target further away with one of the blaster rifles. The "this type of gun is objectively shitty for this and you shouldn't even bother" feeling. It doesn't help that the HUD crosshairs don't feel right at all. They seem way, way wider than your gun's actual spread; I thought the original's were next to perfect.
I forgot to mention it earlier, but the first thing I noticed when I got into a match was how whenever you pick your class, the hologram turns around to face the camera like its some sort of cheesy sitcom intro.
noticed that the footage shown for both of them has them in their correct eras too, so hopefully (and what i've assumed) it's all era/map locked for heroes unless that was confirmed before and i missed it
No heroes are cross era for all game modes. Vader is fighting on sequel era Jakku in that video
So do officers just blow or something? Or am I just awful with them?
During pushes Officers are a must-have because of their AoE group support. I also find Defuser(replaces throwable grenade with AoE around user that defuses thrown explosives) a perfect match with AoE armour during tight pushes. Blurrg pistol with 4-round burst upgrade is actually quite powerful if you can manage its recoil and really high overheating. Kills enemies really quick and very useful against Hero units. For example Rey was slashing through my fellow droids while I was dashing away from her and bursting her down with my pistol, it's quite effective.
I find specialist the worst class by far. Probably because I can't hit shit but it seems to overheat too quickly so if you miss a shot or two you can secure the kill unless you get a lucky headshot
I find specialist the worst class by far. Probably because I can't hit shit but it seems to overheat too quickly so if you miss a shot or two you can secure the kill unless you get a lucky headshot
the A280 is pretty rad
The full game has individual crates for each class, not just the generic 'trooper crate' like they have in the Beta. So you can just play a single class and work towards just that one.
I can already see how Starkiller base will end on both sides, Rebels win, base blows up, First Order wins, Starkiller base fires, fuck the rebel scum.
I can already see how Starkiller base will end on both sides, Rebels win, base blows up, First Order wins, Starkiller base fires, fuck the rebel scum.
Starkiller Base's galactic assault mode is about rescuing prisoners. I guess Starfighter Assault could be about destroying it.
Another issue I'm having is that, especially with Galactic Assault, you either have a 10 minute game or a 20 minute game, depending on whose winning. Hoping a Conquest mode comes in. I don't mind the team based objective modes, but I would rather have a full 30 minute game like Battlefield does where everyone is actively running around the map shooting people rather than defending two small areas of a huge, beautiful map.
Can I make my Wookie white like my old SWG character. I want it.
I'm hoping for new modes purely because I always get put on the teams that don't realise the Ion Disruptors actually have a function.
