Yeah, I think it’s reassuring. Don’t get all the hate in the other threads.
To be honest getting high enough rank to upgrade probably only takes a couple days. I would be way over rank 10 on just the first day of beta. I still wonder if higher tier star cards from loot boxes replacing lower tier ones and not just become crafting points. That's an oversight I can see happening. Either way it will only take like a couple days of playing to have tier 3 cards(without spending money) for your a specific class and probably access upgrading (guessing rank 30~). Achievement items is cool though
Yeah, I think it’s reassuring. Don’t get all the hate in the other threads.
Especially since the Kamino build leak showed us the system was already improved in other ways before we even complained
I'd like to see Asajj Ventress. I don't know much about her outside of the old Clone Wars mini-series, but I always thought she was cool.
God, I would be so happy for Clone Wars content (2005 mini-series or 2008), Ahsoka, Asajj, Rex, really any of the more iconic clones. It's not like the voice acting would be difficult :v:
Well all the Droid and Clone trooper dialogue is very Clone Wars. I don't just mean the actors, I mean the writing. The clones call each other brothers, they use slang like 'seppies' and 'clankers'. The dialogue wouldn't feel out of place in the TV show. Droids also use similar dialogue to the series. [editline]13th October 2017[/editline] DICE clearly took some inspiration from the TV Series, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some post launch content with more connections. The Kamino Galactic assault map is also inspired by Clone Wars, with the Trident Class assault ships.
I think Takodana would be more balanced if FO troops started at the drop ship, fought their way to the castle, then had to fight their way back, with rebel spawns basically where the FO ones are currently. then when FO picks up the box rebels spawn between them and the drop ship, but only in the forest area that leads off into the end of the map rather than coming from behind the transport. the resistance has much more powerful rocket troopers anyway, it would just be less easy for the resistance to stack defense right on top of the ship and spread them out into the forest between FO and the transport

I get that Lando is a necessary part of Star Wars and all, but am I the only one who just could never really stand the guy? Like he always came off as an unlikeable version of Han Solo to me for some reason.

Why did they take out some heroes from BF1 like Jyn?
Why did they take out some heroes from BF1 like Jyn?
Because they're not just copy and pasting them, they're reworking them, giving them new abilities and such. Also updating their models and textures. So the answer is dev time. the HH-12, the Rocket Launcher from Rogue One is in the files. Also I like that the new canon is keeping the same naming conventions as the EU, 'HH' is a prefix in the EU for some rocket launchers. The tank in Rogue One also used the same Prefix as the Republic Tank from the EU.
One of Lando's costumes appears to be his Rebellion General outfit from ROTJ [t]https://i.imgur.com/3w09qfF.png[/t]
Is the original Battlefront 2's multiplayer still decent in playercount? Been wanting to play it again after so long, especially with the announcement that the multiplayer is back. Just wondering if it's died down a shitton since the initial "comeback".
It has a fair number of players last I checked, which was 3 days ago.
Is General Grievous confirmed?
Is General Grievous confirmed?
Not for launch. He is referenced in the beta's exe file however, so they were working on him at some point. There is an alleged screenshot of a very WIP version of him out there.
DICE is forgetting someone.
There was a rumour they were waiting for grevious to be completed so they could be paired together.

according to a dev on reddit, Single Player will have first and third person options, and you'll be able to change your weapons, you won't be tied to an E-11
Well fuck http://www.pcgamer.com/visceral-games-closes-ea-changes-direction-of-studios-star-wars-game
So the game isn't cancelled, it is just 'changing direction' I don't like the sound of that. They claim it has to do with testing and feedback.
So the game isn't cancelled, it is just 'changing direction' I don't like the sound of that. They claim it has to do with testing and feedback.
"Testing" being someone from EA being briefed on features of the game and "Feedback" being, "You're missing the microtransactions checkbox from your features list".
Dead Space 1 and 2 are two of my favourite games of all time and its really sad to see Visceral getting shut down =(
So the game isn't cancelled, it is just 'changing direction' I don't like the sound of that. They claim it has to do with testing and feedback.
Yeah, "pivoting" to "take advantage of market trends." Corporate-speak like that make me throw up in my mouth a little.
So the game isn't cancelled, it is just 'changing direction' I don't like the sound of that. They claim it has to do with testing and feedback.
Don't like the sound of it at all. What they write about this doesn't bode well for it at all in the new form, it seems like they want to change it to be closer to the current trend of wide open-world games filled with repetitive content, meaningless side-activities and overall a lack of depth. It sounds like it's not being changed because it was bad, but because it isn't accessible enough for the mass market. EA cannot do open world games right, i seriously doubt this will end up being a good thing if the move to open-world with Dragon age and Mass Effect are anything to go by. It sounds like a decision motivated by greed, not because they want to create a good game. Moving away from a linear story-based game is not a good thing in this case.
What is so bad about linear story based games for fuck sake... as long as the story is well done, I wouldn't mind linearity at all. I find this statement very suspicious "listening to the feedback about what and how they want to play, and closely tracking fundamental shifts in the marketplace"... seems like the "new" game will feature all the mainstream tickboxes. and maybe even lootboxes, because yeah! those are cool now. Another opportunity for good star wars games bites the dust (most likely)

I've started playing the 2004 Star Wars Battlefront again, and I gotta say, I think I actually kinda prefer it over SWBF2 since the entire enemy team doesn't prioritize the player over everyone else and you don't have to carry your team to win. That, and I was playing as the Imperials on Tatooine: Dune Sea and I accidentally killed Darth Vader by running into him with a speeder bike, it was fucking hilarious.

The 2 new Battlefronts, Battlefield 3, 4 and 1, all take themselves serious and have no comedy in them, but Bad Company 2 and before were great, and even though they didn't make the first Battlefront games, you can see in the ones they did make that they took them in a less comedic direction, too I wish they'd let some silly back in, other than the occasional ragdoll. I'm hoping the multiplayer is going to be light hearted from some of the voice lines I heard
