I'm fine with customization. Just not customizing squadron colours, those should be tied to the map just like legion colours and armour currently are.
Well I disagree, there is nothing in the lore that is contradictory to having multiple squadrons fight in the same battle. Ships have several squadrons aboard, not every single boring ass rebel is gonna be Red Squadron. Besides, if it is like the first Battlefront then you'll hear all sorts of rebel dialog going "Green squadron deployed" and shit like that. For the Empire's ships it would be stuff like the 181st or the Emperor's Guard for color schemes. No harm in having those either. I really don't get why this offends you so much, especially when this isn't something that would be unfitting for the settings. Wheras on the other hand you have clones running around with First Order machine guns and Imperials carrying Naboo blasters. Now that shit gets on my nerves
I'm not against multiple squadrons in a battle as long as it makes sense. Have several ships spawn in one colour, have several other ships spawn in a different colour. I even gave an example above on how player customization could do this. I just don't want to see a lone Blue X-Wing flying around with several Red ones. Where is the rest of his squadron? Why is he alone?

I mean I don't get what isn't lore friendly with basic things like helmet patterns and camos.
I mean I don't get what isn't lore friendly with basic things like helmet patterns and camos.
Patterns are tied to specific legions. Camouflage would depend on the mission/environment.
I mean I don't get what isn't lore friendly with basic things like helmet patterns and camos.
Yeah I think it would make plenty of sense to have any type of armor design you wanted and then the color is just changed to match whatever map you're on.
Yeah I think it would make plenty of sense to have any type of armor design you wanted
No it wouldn't? Armour is also tied to the role and what year of the war you're in. You wouldn't see Phase 1 clone armour on Kashyyyk for example.
No it wouldn't? Armour is also tied to the role and what year of the war you're in. They could do other kinds of markings, etches/decals for kills/battles won for example. Some Clones did customize their armour but nothing big.
idk why people are getting anal at the customization being lore breaking when you have heroes from every era playable on every map

In the legends it was said that some clones kept their Phase 1 armor. Also, if you watch the Clone Wars cartoon you see all sorts of nifty designs the Clones do for their armor.
Yeah I think it would make plenty of sense to have any type of armor design you wanted and then the color is just changed to match whatever map you're on.
It would be cool to have a camo customization for clones that changes based on your map. Like how the ARF troopers in the CW cartoon had an urban type camo and a Geonosis camo (probably more too that I can't remember at the moment) Then you would have your Legion marking on top of that Also for the whole legion thing, there are several instances of different legions working together in the same battles.
No it wouldn't? Armour is also tied to the role and what year of the war you're in. You wouldn't see Phase 1 clone armour on Kashyyyk for example.
Again, cross era heroes and weapons are already in the game. Would you honestly consider outdated (but era correct) armour, specialist armour types and / or mixed squads to be more immersion breaking than that? Especially when there's canon examples of the latter two?
as opposed to eabf1 where you could have one black stormtrooper running around with 39 white stormtroopers?
That was before we had classes. Armour design is now tied to class.
Cross Era heroes genuinely pisses me off, considering it's so obvious that it's because there's only two Prequel heroes.
Cross Era heroes genuinely pisses me off, considering it's so obvious that it's because there's only two Prequel heroes.
Idk how hard it could have been to literally just reskin Boba and make Jango.
Or have Obi Wan. Seriously he's one of the most important fucking characters in the franchise yet he's still not in the SECOND TITLE of the new franchise. No, I will never get over Nien Nub being chosen over him.

They are for making money. Gotta get that sweet TLJ money.
I believe it is an old vs young world here now because we must not forget today's age group that will be interested in this game may or may not have seen the originals are are only getting into the universe with the newer movies, I know people who have not seen major series like this (Star Wars, LoTR, Star Trek...) Us people who have been accustomed to Star Wars and have followed in since original Battlefronts want the main story arc people and what not but like I said they are probably catering to what people SEE and know now... what is current. Say if they put Obi Wan in some kids today might be like who the F is this and not be excited but when they see Finn (new iconic black Star Wars character people can relate to) or Phasma (new iconic SHINY SILVER trooper) what do you think will be more memorable to today's age group... the most recent movies are in their memories and thus will spark more excitement. YES it sucks but that is just the world we live in we just need to move on and accept and just hope they will release the original characters that mean so much to the story... Some people just getting into Star Wars with these recent movies that then go and watch the originals might be less excited for the old people and more excited for what they just saw if that makes sense.
finn the space african american in a world where neither africa nor america exist, played by a british man.
finn the space african american in a world where neither africa nor america exist, played by a british man.
Well would he be African britishman then? lol I just didn't want to say black because that might offend certain people I wanted to be as respectful as possible. *edit Changed it to black lol all love here though!
is the ceremony chamber from the end of ANH in one of the maps on Yavin?

[editline]10th November 2017[/editline] I mean christ Obi Wan is arguably one of the most important if not the most important character in the entire franchise.
Obi-Wan has been in every mainline SW film to some capacity, its pretty silly. I get they don't want all heroes to have lightsabers but why not put him in over Yoda?
Also... Naboo is one of main levels. Like, fucking really? No Obi Wan, no Qui-Gon? Seriously?
yeah but what the fuck did Bossk do to deserve being in the game. [editline]10th November 2017[/editline] I mean christ Obi Wan is arguably one of the most important if not the most important character in the entire franchise.
In a world with gender and race equality at an all time high especially in games you don't see the trend, Like how many games/movies now do you see with female leads or more diverse characters than just male/human? I believe they just wanted more race diversity and also weapon load out they already had a couple lightsaber wielding characters maybe they needed more ranged type they felt that on top of it being a different race knocks out 2 birds with one stone.
They... definitely didn't even consider that.
They... definitely didn't even consider that.
Then what else would be another reason to add a character that was only like in one scene? Aside from being an alien raced species who was a bounty hunter? (perfect for a ranged edition class)
Because they were lazy and could make a character using existing stat cards? Which they did? Because that's what they did?
