I got like 2.8K credits from a game of Heroes vs. Villains earlier and I have no idea why.

You leveled up, game just now shows those credits you get, it didn't before.
Oh that's neat, on Endor one of the buildings in the Imperial base has the Death Star project logo on it from Rogue One

is anyone else losing connection to EA servers? I know my internet connection is solid but it keeps taking me out of games

Nope. I am however experiencing some lag again. Nowhere near of how it was last week and far from unplayable but still a bit annoying.
Like redBadger, I'm having a ton of fun with Palpy right now. His spin feels so damn smooth to use. So much better than how he was in the last game. Also I've learned to appreciate the Assault weapon you unlock last (whatever it's called). It's a brilliant sniper deterrent. Pew-pew and he's dead. Got someone to accuse me of hacking.
And speaking of hackers, I'm happy I haven't met a single one during my 70 hours of game time but I'm sure that will change as the game gets cheaper.

I feel like teammates are designed to get in the way of your shots. I had palpatine dead to right when some dumbass wookie rolled into my aim.
That palpatine survived for the rest of the round and helped the enemy win.
I've never seen a fucking game where people so extremely fucking refuse to play any sort of objective.
I've never seen a fucking game where people so extremely fucking refuse to play any sort of objective.
For an objective based game, playing the objectives are not rewarding in anyway.
Its why people don't bother, they find getting eliminations more rewarding so they ignore the objective.
This is a problem with all objective based gamemodes unless it has some form of reward to it, in this the objectives are just "there" and don't really do anything, and because you don't get any additional credits based off how you play, no one gives a fuck.
You get a lot more points doing the objective then killing people.
At least in Starfighter assault.
Points don't mean shit if it doesn't give you an actual reward, shooting down other players is far more rewarding from a gameplay perspective than "shoot this static object with a lot of hit points to just advance to the next part where you have to repeat this exact process" which is what the objectives are 80% of the time..
Its boring as fuck in most cases.
Btw to those with a link to their steam profile under their avatar, you may want to remove it before the movie comes out. Last time, someone kept inviting people to a steam group with spoilers in the name/picture.

Luke dies.
Luke dies.
Rey is Kylo's daughter. Snoke is Darth Plagueis. Jar-Jar is the mastermind.
In The Last Jedi, Snoke's true identity will be revealed as Bigger Luke.
In TLJ it'll be revealed that the Emperor used the Force to swap bodies with Luke at the last second to escape death and "Luke" is now a repenting Palpatine trying to make amends for past sins while Snoke is a vengeful Luke who wants to see the galaxy burn
This animation better be in the game

I'm just hoping for a "Hello there" emote for him, then if they add Kenobi for him to have a matching one as well. :v:

if you look closely, his right hands are holding Anakin and Obi-Wan's sabers.
which is an odd continuity error considering he never got to keep them
and one of the blades is the wrong colour.
Just hilts
Small update to the progression: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/starwars/battlefront/battlefront-2/news/changes-progression-credits
Today, an update went live that includes some adjustments to the economy and progression. While these are only some initial steps toward making much larger changes, some of these are ready to roll, and are available starting today.
Basically, you now get more credits for each match and you are rewarded even more if you're one of the top players. You now also get more crafting parts in daily crates and the daily Arcade credit cap has been raised by 3x. So you can now get 1500 credits each day by playing just Arcade.
I played a match on Hoth, won as the empire and got 2nd place. That gave me 500-something credits.
Still doesn’t seem like enough
No specifics on the numbers and no mention of crystals. They are playing with their cards close to their chest regarding the reinstatement of MTX and it's keeping me from buying the game.
The leaked TLJ "Choose a side" menu mentions something called Star Card Booster Crates. Maybe that's what the new microtransactions will get you. Temporary powerups instead of permanent. Whatever they're doing, I doubt it will be enough for most people who are already boycotting the game.
The amount crafting parts in the daily crate is now 15.

I'm seeing people get over 500 credits per match, some getting up to 700 based on how well they did + time spent in match
I don't get why they have to be so stingy with credits and everything else. I feel like more people are just going to quit playing when they realize the time it will take them to unlock everything in multiplayer just really isn't feasible.
But once they get those MTX in there I guess they couldn't give two shits about the minority that give up since plenty of people will probably still pull out their wallets to improve their experience.
Still doesn’t seem like enough
It really isn't. Compared to other games that have this economy model - like ME3 - you'd usually earn somewhere between .75 - 1 packs worth of credits per game. If 500 credits is the new average, then that seems to be around .15 - .25 packs worth of credits, depending on the crate you're after.
BF2 matches don't last as long as some ME3 matches do of course. I'd say the average match length on BF2 is 15 minutes while ME3 could go for 30 Minutes. So even if you adjust for this, it's still less value.
This could be improved in 2 ways:
1. Increase the average credits earned per match to something like 1000
2. Have 1 guaranteed rare in all packs
I want the ability to change the faction of the classes on the collection screen
