SWTOR turned into the biggest pile of garbage over the last year. KOTFE is a massive money grabbing joke, and it's still buggy as hell.

Don't forget the GTN search being broken for like a month either, or you know the token duplication exploit that went on for 6 weeks and then people just got a slap on the wrist for it. I subbed did the content and then unsubbed. I have not played since October. I had no friends playing at the time so I did it solo. So if any of the issues started after October, I have no idea about them. I have been playing SWTOR since launch so don't get me wrong I used to love the game but damn. Bioware have really screwed the pooch on it, more carrots on a stick, no new multiplayer content, nerfed everything into the ground so it's impossible to fail.

The problem is they're trying to appeal to the non-multiplayer crowd now. the people who wanted a new KOTOR not a MMO

It IS f2p. There's also the 500 cartel coins a month from subs, and 100 a month from having a security key. You could just save those up and buy all the unlocks that let you keep features while not subbed

Few more questions: My friend and I both bought the game at release (or maybe even preordered it) and are both subs now. His character transfer says free, but mine says it costs 90. Anyone know why? How do the expansions work once my sub runs out?

It's F2P but you have to sub to access any new story content that comes out and there's stupid restrictions on F2P like item restrictions, less toolbars, less exp ect.. Really wouldn't bother with it if you aren't going to sub. F2P is just an extended trial really. With the money grabbing techniques they are using now I wouldn't even bother just out of principle. People get upset about DLC but if what SWTOR was doing was in the media more it would be shat on. They know they have limited content coming out through to August this year, just the 30 min story segments a month so a lot of people thought "Oh, I'll just come back and play through all the story later on then no big deal..". Now Bioware have said if you want to get a bonus chapter at the end where you play as HK (the only time in SWTOR you play as someone else, and everyone loves HK) then you have to stay subbed for the first 8 months of the year continuously or you don't get it. Miss a payment? You are fucked, CS won't help you. New player? You are fucked. Old player coming back to the game? You are fucked. It's not be a sub for just 8 months, it's be a sub for these specific 8 months. Okay so I can either come back later and pay $15 after all the story has come out and not get to play as HK or I can sub continuously even though there's not really any decent content coming, just 30 mins of story a month that is pretty linear. So pay $120 and get an additional 30 mins of story. You get way better value out of $15 going to the cinema once a month.

[editline]1st February 2016[/editline] Translated via google.[/QUOTE] apparently WBI is making a big announcement tomorrow regarding "two of the world's most popular franchises". one will more than likely be this new lego sw game (which apparently has exclusive content set between 6 and 7) and the other will probably be... idk, either something else owned by disney or like a new lego batman game or something. would be hella cool if they decided to announce lego bttf or ghostbusters games. my only concern is how they'll handle the hubs for the game. the first 3 games had you in the cantina, the clone wars had you on a republic ship and you could orbit planets. but, with the recent dc and marvel games, there were whole areas to explore. marvel had the island of manhattan and a helicarrier (with seamless travelling from one to the other), and lego batman 2 had gotham, while 3 had several dwarf-planets (six for the green lantern rings).

I'd love a lego BTTF game. I'm thinking the other property might be another DC action game. I really can't see how they could do any of that with Ep7.

Though it is interesting that A lego game is going to be the first piece of star wars media outside of comics or books to go into that territory. There are so many questions about that 30 year gap we're probably not going to have answers to until after Episode 9 is out.

the only things i can think of regarding the hubs would be - jakku (not really worth it imo) - takodana (good for the cantina and that's about it) - han's smuggling ship - the falcon (with the ability to once again, orbit planets) idk, wait and see i guess. funny though, i thought we wouldn't be getting a new lego sw game until either another season or two of rebels was completed or episode 9 was almost out. ooh, here's to hoping we get some rogue one dlc or something. fuck, they might make a separate game for the rest of the trilogy. well shit, it's not like i pay $60 for these games anyway. it would be neat to see the first order ship in further detail, wonder if we could get a hub of that as well.
