I'm looking forward to Death Star adding chewbacca and TK-421

Luke in stormtrooper disguise versus TK-421
Really feels like a tiny amount of content compared to what you get in the BF4 expansions

Would be fine if it was a budget title, imo.
But it's not. They want more/as much money for this shit than/as Battlefield 4.
So if I buy the Star Wars Humble Bundle it gives me 75% off some Star Wars games in the Humble Store.
Now, I'm kinda wanting to drop $10 on the Force Unleashed games. IIRC people said that the story was stupid as shit or something like that, but I don't really care. I'll play KOTOR if I want a good story. What I'd like to know is if the games are fun to play. If they're not, I'll probably just skip the bundle and find cheaper copies of the two KOTOR games, but if they are, I see no reason to not buy the bundle for KOTOR 1/2 and FU 1/2 and get some extra rainy-day games while I'm at it.

And by "fun to play" I mean as in more of a mindless kill-shit-with-lightsabers-and-force-powers sense as opposed to one that requires critical thinking.
Ya, the Force Unleashed doesn't have the best story, but the one thing they're really good at is being a fun "kill things with lightsabers and Force" kind of game.
Definitely pick it up. I'd hazard to say the representation of force powers in TFU and in conjunction with saber combat moves is better than any other star wars game

If you get both Force Unleashed games for $10 I say it's worth it. Force Unleashed 2 is super short though. I remember playing it and just starting to settle in and it ended. Abruptly. I didn't know it was over until it just *Ended*
I was like Well FUCK

Fun to play is very subjective.
I personally don't think it's incredibly fun, but then again i remember when it was supposed to be full on DMC levels of Character action, and bug fixes involved just ripping out gameplay features until it was more stable.
The first is all right, but the second is worse iirc.
I will admit though that kill things with lightsaber is well represented though.
1 is locked at 30 frames and has sound issues
no idea about 2
Do the older games (i.e. xwing/tiefighter) work ok on Win10?
Judging from the Steam reviews, they do, but they hog the CPU for some reason
Anyone play Star Wars Uprising?

The GOG versions work better then the Steam versions.
The steam versions I had to download a fixed ddraw.dll file for them to run properly.
I think the GOG versions come with that file by default because they ran right out of the installer
the GOG Staff tests and tries to fix games that done wrong properly on newer PCs.
X-Wing Alliance uses a fan made ddraw.dll file.

2 runs better than 1 on pc
it also looks better than the pc port
i'm still waiting for some kind of hd mod that at least sharpens the textures.
and i'm still out of money
third sale's the charm i guess
Battlefront is on a flash sale @ Origin for $30 (lowest price yet) base game and $80 for game+season pass.
Im pretty sure it was 30 dollars a month or two ago, thats when I bought mine.

save yourself the money and get something more worth your time
30 bucks is probably the lowest we'll see, knowing EA, and i'm still planning to get the game at some point anyway

They're only showing off the maps but the maps look likethe worst part of the game
what i want to know is how they're gonna handle stuff like combat now that it seems to be first person
Looks like a generic sci-fi environment with developers that think oversaturation, explosive bloom, and shiny surfaces make a game look good.
[sp]It doesn't.[/sp]
The remake of the maps is so drastic that it feels hard to recognize the areas they're going through. I mean, I think that was the Endar Spire bridge at one point, and it hardly looks like it would fit the Hammerhead shape of the ship's front. How exactly have they redesigned that?
Of course, I'm holding my breath until I see both how combat works and how they bring the characters to life. This game'll be nothing if they can't recreate the cast in a way that feels right even if remade.
That looks terrible, there's no light at all.

Lemme guess, UE4? UE4 seems to have a really distinct look no matter what the game is. Not impressed with those environments at all.
whoever the cheeky cunt doing the video is has never played the game, probably saw a gameplay video and read wikipedia to familiarize himself with the names.
or he wouldn't be stroking it so hard.
Why does it have to be so washed out? It looks awful
It looks just as bad as it did in the screenshots.
March update is out today, includes new Tatooine Survival map and a new Endor Map for Supremacy, Turning Point and Walker Assault.

that's the night endor map, right? with all the burned trees and shit?
Its not at night, looks like early morning or late afternoon, but yes, bits an pieces are on fire, the shield generator is also destroyed.

There is something coming soon called 'Hutt Contracts", no info other then it helps you unlock new gear. I guess they'll be like the assignments in Battlefield. Showed DL-18 Blaster Pistol in the trailer.
