Hardly anything, besides like the species, look the same as the movies.

Obviously they're not identical, but they're very similar and the same sort of thing. Protocol droids, astromechs, seeker droids, the sith ships, the Ebon Hawk etc all have the same type of look as the versions 4000 years later. The look of things is hardly changed, they could easily pass as just another company's version of that thing or a slightly older (like a few decades) model, rather than very little overall changing in 4000 years.

I know, i have a friend who is very [I]very[/I] pro swtor. Whenever have questions or complaints along these lines (or Revan based complaints) he gets very defensive and it turns into an argument.
[QUOTE=O'Neil;50179795]So that you can do 2+ heroics and such without needing help from someone else.[/QUOTE]
Even 2+ heroics can be hard with a companion.
Really depends on what their affection level is at. If they're Sub-10 good luck.
[editline]22nd April 2016[/editline]
Or maybe I'm just bad at the game.

Probably.
In actually it i both like and hate new companion shit. I like the overpoweredness because it makes getting through the plot a bit simpler, but i hate the role system, i want companions to do one thing and thats it. At least i could just set them to what they used to be up until KoFE
They also lost some of their unique powers, like HK-51's Assassinate or whatever it was called, could Insta kill a Strong or less NPC.
Don't forget to get all story's completed, all presence holocrons, and reach level 50 as a human to get maximum benefit for comps.
There's +10 presence for each companion you finish all the story mode dialogues for, +100 for reaching 50 as human, and 2-5 for each presence holocube or whatever. These all legacy unlock.
Affection level adds some presence, presence is the stat that matters, not necessarily the affection level. You and I could have the same affection level with a comp as yours and one could still be superior.
I wanna make it clear: presence is key. It boosts your companions own stats such as mastery and endurance for each point. Higher presence = better companion
[editline]22nd April 2016[/editline]
In fact just get all the holocubes you can, they all add bonuses to endurance mastery and presence, meaning even at level 1 you'll get an edge
also consider playing on Shadowlands, me and my friends are all on there and I think /r/swtor's guild (Sithit) would welcome us

TBH if you got 4 people who are subbed and running heroics with a full group you can clear about 3 planets in about an hour and netting close too or over a million credits. Granted I roll on Bergen Colony and Ebon Hawk.
Best agent jacket though.

[QUOTE=Tuskin;50176483]TFW you buy the wrong chest piece for Glowing Data Crystals and bind it to you before realizing it.

I bought the tanking version instead of DPS.[/QUOTE]
But they have 2 hours refund even if you bind it?

Nope, I bound it to a visual slot, cancels out completely.

Trying to level my consular, and I've forgotten how to play one.
DPS Guardians and Juggernauts are so much easier to get back into i find, you just smack things with a lightsaber, the consular has so many other secondary abilities I can never remember what to use.
Consular heals are supposed to be bullshit in pvp if you're into that
I'm not a PvPer
I'm running a Serenity Shadow
That's the Jedi equivalent to Hatred Assassin right? DOTS galore?
I main a hatred assassin. I like that you can do this shit where your channeled DOT can get insta cast using this other DOT related to the charge and while using either you can sometimes use the high damage move intended for below 30% on anyone.
i rotate those. Not sure what the skills are called for Jedi. I also use an AoE that makes enemies weaker to the DOTS, and occasionally use some move that leeches health because it activates a damage boost with my set bonus
[editline]23rd April 2016[/editline]
Haven't had issues with that class yet, still wish I chose Sorc so I could do heals and Mage shit. Also sometimes prefer a normal saber
I've decided to throw some money for a monthly subscription and catch up with the chapter of KotFE I was missing since the expansion's launch
I like where the direction of the story is going ([sp]the Outlander is pretty much railroaded into being in the position to take absolute control of Zakull and its Empire and Darth Marr and Satele Shan achieve a gray understanding of the Force they teach to him/her[/sp]), mainly because I saw it coming and it fits well with my own character's roleplaying. That said, at this point I don't know what the fuck they are trying to accomplish with Vitiate or how awkward would be to play the whole expansion as a non-Force user
That said, I was really hoping that since my absence the developers had kept themselves busy trying to improve the general tedious and "I've been here before, I've done this" feeling KotFE is filled with, and also adjust the general difficulty of the game (which, on my dps main perpesctive, now boils down to just spam attacks without any sense of rotation whatsoever). I see that's not the case and I'm left wondering how they intend to keep the whole thing up
I noticed they gave enemies you've encountered before new attacks in later chapters. Skytroopers have a poison attack which they don't have the first time you fight them.
They're trying to keep it fresh.
Haven't logged in in awhile, is eternal champ playable yet
I don't even know what that is.
I do enjoy the new level scaling system, and the fact you can do some FPs solo.
[editline]23rd April 2016[/editline]
I'm level 52 and I just left Belsavis :v: I'll probably be 60 by the end of Corellia, or at least Makeb
It's a thing they've been working on where you fight in an arena on Zakuul as Mysterious Stranger like in KOTOR.
They had a blog post saying it's done but idk if it's available or if they're waiting for the next chapter at May 5th
[editline]23rd April 2016[/editline]
You do have to have the first 9 chapters of KOTFE finished to activate it tho

I guess I'll log in and see, it says upon us but no one talks about it it seems
Oh that sounds cool. I have 2 characters all caught up so I could try it.
[editline]24th April 2016[/editline]
According to Dulfy its hitting live in May, so probably with the next Chapter.
It is currently on the test server.

can't wait, also remember reading an alliance alert for [sp]Bowdaar[/sp] is supposed to ship with it (the eternal championship)
[editline]23rd April 2016[/editline]
which is funny because [sp]we're getting Vette, who looks like Mission Vao and has the same voice, along with a wookiee with a similar name to Zaalbar in the same release date[/sp]
Another thing I like about level scaling, it still drops gear for your level, so if you're level 50 on Voss, you'll get 50-51 gear instead of 40's.
Might only be in instanced areas, not sure.
Nah, the drops are based off of your level now, like you say, its not just instanced. I still get good items on shit planets like Korriban
I just tried to do a 2+ heroic on Voss with just me companion and died in like 5 seconds.
the voss one where there's tons of bosses in a row is hard, almost impossible without healer mode comp, still close even with
Mean, she was in healer mode and all my gear is level 50.
Still I don't think I'm playing consular right. Thats the only time i've died in 10 levels though, so eh.
I have almost 400 basic comms saved up, not sure when or if I should actually upgrade my gear. I'm not dying to normal missions so probably not. Just hit level 55 leaving Voss, so I'll probably be 60 by the end of Corellia like I guessed before.
I play with 31 affection comp and use 65 gear at like 208-224 range and still find that one a little close when solo
also basic comms can be traded for the super gifts at Odessen, its what I do.
Sometimes I buy gear mods from the fleet and put them in legacy storage and refund them on my odessen characters to buy the gifts with
as a DPS shadow what mods should I get? Nothing online has really been updated since 3.0

TBH out of every single character/class for KOTFE, both the Bounty Hunter and The Smuggler are the literally, the most unneeded and unconcerned by the vast majority of what's happening.
For the Force Users it's understandable, both of them having high levels of power in their respective organizations. The Trooper has a some impact considering they're a special forces war hero, who goes around fucking shit up for the good of the Republic. The Agent is nearly on par at being a good fit for the role of KOTFE.
While the Agent doesn't have force powers they've managed to do a fucking whole lot to the galaxy, just on accident.
[sp] Managed to completely disolve Imperial Intelligene
Some crazy ass doomdays club which had it's hands in organizations ranging from the Sith,Jedi,Revanites,Corporations,so forth.
Prevented massive terrorist attacks on the Empire
Prevented a potentially devastating missile attack on Dromund Kaas.[/sp]
Just more the class story but IMO the Agent is best non-force user role for KOTFE due to the amount of contacts they theoretically have, and because Agent companions were the first to be added to KOTFE.

I don't know. The smuggler sure but the Bounty Hunter has a lot of pull in the galaxy.
