should we make a steam group or something?
should we make a steam group or something?
The game's got its own guild and groupchat function. You probably won't need a steam group so long as you keep yourselves together.
Well it depends. If we do PvP a lot, the players who chose rebel/imperial will be at odds. But there are plenty of other things we can go.
I'm also downloading Reborn now and I'll work on setting up the clan tomorrow if you all are okay with that?

Directions for installing Reborn can be found here: https://swgreborn.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=347
Is Project SWG updating supposed to take several hours? Its downloading really slowly.

Going really slow for me too. Maybe.
Might just be overloaded too, lots of people downloading?
Revan aughta run the guild. I'd say both of us because he was talking about it first then I was like ye we should make facepunch stuff but I'm too humble for that and I'm not experienced
plus it'd be fun to play under a mantle of one named Revan
Alright well since I got a single agree I'll post :v:
More pics to shill my guild

Oh, that's nothing. Remember grip-kicking?
Oh, that's nothing. Remember grip-kicking?
After quickly reading up on that, I don't think I'll be playing public matches anymore out of fear of the grip-kick

Just play on FFA servers with force disabled. It's annoying anyway. Makes light saber fights actual light saber fights
So I'll set up the clan for sure, but like the others said I think someone like Revan or someone who knows more about SWG should lead.
I feel like blushing.
I'd certainly be happy to be a leader, but I'd like to make sure to give at least two others rights to leadership abilties, ESPECIALLY if we make a city. You can vote/elect leaders in the game, and also make city laws (tax, etc). Since my work schedule is sporatic, that's probably the best option.
We can do both Rebellion and Empire. If you're concerned about immersion, that would be the only downfall.
So, if we want a city, we have a few planets to choose from, and they come with different housing types.
There's a generic house that will work on all house-able planets, then specifics for Naboo/Rori and Tatooine/Lok. You can live in a lot of the places, I just can't remember them all. Corellia, Naboo, Tatooine, Lok, Rori, Dantooine... maybe one or two more?
Also, I just logged into SWGReborn and it's pretty much all here.... I am receiving ALL of the subscriber rewards (I'm going all-imperial rewards, so if you guys want mixed guild hall, accept Rebel stuff) and I'm getting the Yacht and stuff for space... This is the weirdest nostalgia ever.
There seems to be 10 blue frogs in the area, so we don't have to level manually, but--- I may want to if you guys want to. I think half the fun is getting to level 90 so.
Anyways, my name in-game is Sareth Noral because that's my go-to.
[editline]9th January 2016[/editline]
So, confirmed. We can definitely level up and shit. Experience works just fine. I don't know how Reborn is miles ahead of Project and Project is still more known.
So you can get ships in the game, but it doesn't look like you can fly them yet. But mounts work, recoloring them works, repairing them works.
The worst part atm is that they have the frogs so there's no economy because you can just get credits and armor and level up that way.
Maybe the frogs will be removed in time? What if they are trying to boost the economy right now since it seems like reborn just came up a few weeks ago?
It's possible... I doubt they'd have working experience and combat just to have blue frogs take the entire game.
ain't nothing more OG than having a city on tatooine
I'm thinking tatooine or like the middle of nowhere on that jungle moon.
I'm a fucking idiot, I'm on the test server.
[editline]9th January 2016[/editline]
Ok so SWG QA is Quality Assurance, and isn't the main server. SWG TC3 is the main server, even though back in the day that was "test center" so I thought it wasn't main.
The guys in here say the main server should be back later today hopefully, so there isn't blue frogs there.
[editline]9th January 2016[/editline]
The dune sea is a lot of fun for cities, but makes straight lines for streets kind of difficult. Rori has a lot of forests with little ponds if we wanted to do "middle of nowhere" kind of stuff. Back in the day I also had a city hall on the top of a mountain on Corellia near Coronet in the snow, which was a lot of fun, but there's no room for a city at all.
We should probably start making money for the clan the second all of us start to get in. Would mining minerals and collecting solar fuel and all that still be the best way?
The best way back when I left was to level up a bit first and then go to Kashyyyk and kill a mob that would refresh quickly and sell a full inventory of loot for ~300k each time.... But that's less legitimate than anything else.
Best way legitimately from what I can remember is to have a trader that can create and sell specialty goods with different colors and attachments... but that's mundane for people who don't want to level up a crafter. What you said is a good way as well, because traders will always need materials, but it depends on the economy. I don't know how many people are in the server or how many are traders at all.
tl;dr I have no clue
Quoted for size until I can figure out how the fuck to do that weird imgur thing
Driving around on Tatooine just to explore and feel it all over again. Found Lars Homestead and the rest was just obvious.

The game seemed just as bug-free as when I left the official game in 2009. Just no space yet.
Me n' vosk perhaps?

Made it into the group now
Oh man, seeing SWG gain some resurgence is awesome. I might join you guys.
Pardon me but how exactly do I access swgreborn?
Pardon me but how exactly do I access swgreborn?
Someone posted this guide
It's taking a lot time to install SWG Reborn. I've had it running for maybe two hours and it's only at 25 out of 255
Their Downloader is REALLY slow, I ran it overnight.
So I just made my char, name is Kyle Achrattea. How do I join the Empire? Do I have to wait till the normal server is up?
I keep reading SWG as "SWAG"

2 Suns, 1 shadow
I think SWTOR has the same problem. And no, they're not close enough together to only cast one shadow.
[editline]9th January 2016[/editline]
I think the movies had the same problem too :v:
I actually don't recall.
