Speaking of Battlefront, sometimes you gotta feel bad for the other team when they let something like this happen:

I think they may have nerfed the turret now but before it made 5% damage with every shot if you hit the weakpoint.

The fleets are in the wrong spots :| Other then that, pretty cool. That Cockpit was ripped from SWG though, or at least the texture was. I've never actually played Freespace. I played that BSG Total Conversion, Beyond the Red Line though.
one step closer to ultimate defense the trifecta
Loved SWG and still believe JtL was one of the best MMO expansions to date. seeing this image just is sad but at the same time reminds me of the fun I had

It was the swan song of the genre and a great way for it to go out.
This aint video game related, but it is game related, table top gaming to be exact. I'm writing up a campaign for a StarWars themed game and I really want a good antagonist. I'm just gonna post what I wrote up on 4chan So does it work?

looks like we're getting several battlefront sequels, not just one per trilogy http://www.gamespot.com/articles/star-wars-battlefront-2-confirmed-features-content/1100-6439682/

I'm shocked.
already think of making sequels
same with any other game series. [editline]12th May 2016[/editline] Shouldn't be surprising really, Battlefront will be 2 years old in 2017. Following EA/DICE's model for Battlefield releases, it fits. Most Battlefield games have had 2 years between them. Except for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142, which had 1 year, and Battlefield 4 and Battlefield One which has had 3. (I'm really not counting Hardline, wasn't 100% DICE on that)
same with any other game series.
Which doesn't make this practice any more legitimate (if your statement was, in fact, true)

I think that's kind of shitty.
There's not going to be a lot of vehicle variety if they make a game set in TFA-era. X-Wings for good guys, TIE Fighters for baddies, and that's it. Unless we're getting some new ships in Episode 8 and they already know about them.
just turn it into a slowly expanding F2P piece of steaming poo so we can erect the franchise gravestone and get some flowers it already feels like one anyway so the dirt was thrown on top some time ago

Battlefront came out in 2004 and Battlefront 2 came out in 2005 Pandemic are money grubbing hack frauds :v: [editline]12th May 2016[/editline]
There's not going to be a lot of vehicle variety if they make a game set in TFA-era. I get the feeling there will probably be more stuff in the movie than just that, too. They said stuff from the "new movies" not just the new episodes Also the First Order and the Resistance both have their own dropships
They can just slap an all black texture on pre-existing TIE models and call it a year
knowing the enthusiasm and skill of their art team, i'd rather trust them to grab the actual film model and replicate it or just adapt it straight for game use
Which doesn't make this practice any more legitimate (if your statement was, in fact, true)
A lot of companies start planning a sequel before production even finishes. Even LucasArts did it back in the day. They had concepts and some idea for Imperial Commando before Republic Commando even shipped. [editline]12th May 2016[/editline] So I wonder if they're going to make another Jakku map :v: If it is coming out next fall, the first free map will probably be from Episode 8 like Jakku was from 7. I'm still wondering what the final DLC for Battlefront is.
After coming back to the game recently to see its current state and my rather optimistic outlook about the newest expansion at first, I just can't fathom how low Star Wars: The Old Republic has fallen with Knights of the Fallen Empire It's like, you are required to pay a ubscription for a game that isn't a MMORPG anymore just to enjoy one, lone hour of content every month, a model they decided to call "chapters approach storytelling". You can basically sneeze through the whole thing if you are "clever" enough to bring a companion with you, more often than not the story featured amounts to filler and there is a single boss fight pattern rearshed every month ("kick the boss butt till he becomes invincible for some seconds and summons adds, then wait for him to become vulnerable again, rinse and repeat") Outside the story chapters, everything else is a grinding fest with reused assets galore What the actual fuck happened
You know, as someone who feels the need to constantly defend Battlefront... I think that's kind of shitty.
Why would you defend dicefront?
Why would you defend dicefront?
Because its fun.
Why would you defend dicefront?
"Why would you like something I don't like?"
RIP Disney Infinity, gaming hardly knew ye
Because its fun.
I think it's fun as well, but shipping out half a game is unforgivable.
good thing i paid less than half the price for less than half a game
Sales and VPN exploitation aswell as using key sites doesn't change the actual MSRP
what key sites and VPN exploitation, i just bought it from Origin smartass
I didn't say you exploited it. But given the flag you probably didn't need to use a VPN if it wasn't a sale. [editline]12th May 2016[/editline] I mean I'm not even saying anythings wrong with pretending to be in Mexico to shave a couple bucks, but that doesn't change that EA intends it to be $60 USD with a $50 USD season pass
