This aint video game related, but it is game related, table top gaming to be exact. I'm writing up a campaign for a StarWars themed game and I really want a good antagonist. I'm just gonna post what I wrote up on 4chan So does it work?
Sounds pretty damn good. But why the fuck did like 99% of the clones go with Order 66 in the first place? Like, how did it benefit them at all, considering the several years of fighting alongside the Jedi, why would they just go "okay lol creepy guy in the hood", like, if they were programmed to it would make sense, but clearly not because a shitton of them decided against it.

Most if not all of the ones that went against order 66 were either special forces or commanders that all had enhanced decision making skills and more freedom, so they realized how awful it was and went against it. The standard trooper however were bred to follow orders no matter what, so they did.

No, seriously.
Brain implants forced them to. No, seriously.
yeah, implants plus the fact that they were bred to be lackeys.
I actually didnt know that. I was going off of the republic commando books and other stuff that I forgot just isnt canon
Still a better reasoning than "hey we're just gonna decide kill these generals we worked with for years because of a single order"
Still a better reasoning than "hey we're just gonna decide kill these generals we worked with for years because of a single order"
I thought the reasoning was because George Lucas wrote himself into a corner and shat out some badly written excuses. But i guess the rest makes sense too.
I just finished KOTOR 2...that was an extremely disappointing and anti-climactic ending. It felt like the whole story just went downhill after Dantooine. All of the Darth's in the game felt pointless and like nothing was really explained, either. It really didn't seem as good as KOTOR 1.

I've been playing KOTOR lately, really enjoying it. I'm getting towards the end of Taris.
I thought the reasoning was because George Lucas wrote himself into a corner and shat out some badly written excuses.
I've been playing KOTOR lately, really enjoying it. I'm getting towards the end of Taris.
Kotor is probably my second favorite game ever after Snake Eater. Kotor 2 is high up on the list as well, but naturally the unfinished part ruined it. I think the writing and characters are scores better in 2 (for most of the game), but the overall game is weaker and lacks the polish that the first one has. Still love both of them.
what corner? they were bred to be loyal to their commanders, and palpatine was the commander in chief. the brain chip was just extra security to ensure the task would be done.
I think the idea of a chip controlling them makes it worse, really. It takes away from them being utterly loyal and basically incapable of independent thinking (for the basic clones) because of how they were trained. It just avoids having to face any consequences of them actually choosing to do that and is now just " we can't have them deciding to do bad things, lets make it so they literally couldn't decide not to!"
when all else fails, play jedi academy and type in npc spawn rosh_penin x50 npc spawn tavion_new and see your results

If they were meant to follow any order without choice or morals, why not just go with a droid army that's cheaper, faster, and doesn't get injured. And if they'd killed the jedi by choice, it'd basically be a conflict of their training. In order to be loyal to Palpatine, they'd have to be disloyal to the jedi.
Can someone tell me how to get Bowdaar in my Alliance easily on Star Wars: The Old Republic? The arena is harder than anticipated and my subscription is ending in five days or so

Alternatively you could find another player or players for solo+. You miss out on rewards for grouping but you'll get Bowdaar faster.

For the kids and all.

For fuck's sake, not only the developers turned Star Wars: The Old Republic in a single player game (a single player game requiring a subscription, nonetheless), but apparently the players themselves utterly refuse to engage in any sort of cooperation whatsoever now Wow.

I joined my friends guild so i'd have a chance of getting some help on certain things but they all refuse to leave Korriban or Yavin and stop RPing.
SWTOR will never be KOTOR 3, I wish people would stop saying that The only people who say SWTOR "pretty much equals" KOTOR 3 are the ones who have never played 1&2 or werent paying any attention to the story
Also the devs have said that.
Devs said swtor is kotor 3, 4 and so on. I'd still prefer a proper kotor 3, that has revan and the exile team up, you could choose to play as one of them and co-op with a friend.

Thats not the point i'm making at all. You can tell that KotFE is trying to feel like Kotor, that doesn't mean it is.
