Was there a giveaway or contest or something for Free Ashfall Tauntaun and Thermal Retention suit in SWTOR? A Subscriber reward maybe? I know there was one for having Battlefront, but that was only with the Physical PC edition. I have the Digital. I've been getting it in the mail for all my new characters and I don't remember why. [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] Maybe I duped EA support or something.
Think it was for something way earlier in the games life [editline]17th July 2016[/editline]
Since when has something not making sense in Star Wars canon stopped people from doing it for fanservice? I'm sorry if i seem a little cold but i hate all the [sp]post Kotor Revan bullshit.[/sp] It was cool, lets leave it there.
The reason battlefront can't add clone wars or ep7 is because Disney is telling them they can't shift canon even via games [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] Also idk why you put that second part since I'm arguing that there's no reason for this guy to be Revan?

I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Ask Disney not me http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/nextgen_battlefront/news/eas_future_star_wars_games_could_make_use_of_the_force_awakens_characters.html [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] For some reason the content of battlefront is canon (imperial shock troopers, Jakku remnant battle added) and I disagreed with that long ago because I wanted more customization that'd be "canon breaking" like trandoshan heads and some people wanted first order armor. Regardless it is so, and apparently EA can't add to battlefront with stuff that isn't in the timelines canon [editline]17th July 2016[/editline] This doesn't include things like emperor fighting nien nunb on hoth though ofc
Also idk why you put that second part since I'm arguing that there's no reason for this guy to be Revan?
Because i'm speaking my opinion. The second part wasn't directed at you directly. Star Wars is the franchise that i love the most, and at the same time hate the most of.
So, I spoke to DICE at the Star Wars Celebration event. My questions were practically nonexistant as they largely were about Skirmish and they mostly got answered overnight so I was left with a few suggestions. The responses boiled down to priorities and demand. They seemed okay with the ideas but here's a break down of things: -My first suggestion was about the Season Pass support for Skirmishes. This is one we should post on the forums about, because I'm certain more people would invest in the Season Pass if there was support for it in Skirmishes. -Magmatrooper and Sandtrooper pauldrons tied to rank. The guy I spoke to was a level designer so couldn't really comment on this but said he would pass it on. -Blast-to-Battles and Missions-to-Blast: I asked about whether it would be possible to add the Blast maps to Battles, as there isn't a great selection of maps in Battles to begin with. I also asked if it were possible to bring over the unique Missions maps (of which there are currently five - two in Battles and three in Survival). The response was that they could look into doing this if there was enough demand for it. -And my last was a map editor. I expressed my interest in modding for the first game and stated that I'm sure it would be a good thing if players could create their own maps. I suggested that, as this would prove difficult to implement in multiplayer, they could make a map editor that allows us to create new maps in Missions and Skirmishes. Again, the answer was that this would be a good idea but it would be up to demand.
Hey guys thought I'd let you know there's an SWTOR promotion CelebrationCantina16 Put that code in at https://account.swtor.com/user/codes like you would game time and you get this:

Only through inaction.
For some reason the content of battlefront is canon (imperial shock troopers, Jakku remnant battle added) and I disagreed with that long ago because I wanted more customization that'd be "canon breaking" like trandoshan heads and some people wanted first order armor. Regardless it is so, and apparently EA can't add to battlefront with stuff that isn't in the timelines canon
Well the Shocktroopers originated in Clone Wars, same colour scheme too. I think the Shadowtroopers are the only things Battlefront has added to the canon? I think maybe a couple of the weapons are new. but vast majority are from canon. The Battle of Jakku was already a thing before Battlefront came out.
ILM's VR demo is on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/381940/ [editline]18th July 2016[/editline] So I extracted the assets (its just Unreal Engine .pak file) It has one SW1313 prop, a cargo container. Doesn't mean anything, ILM was working on 1313 IIRC, so it makes sense they'd have assets
More info on Skirmish, ignore the date, it comes out the 21st not 20th http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2016/07/18/star-wars-battlefront-skirmish-mode-to-feature-online-co-op/
You can play all base Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron maps as well as the free maps. You can’t choose a skin but rebels get randomly generated skins each match (female, male, species), while imperials can only be helmeted stormtroopers. (It isn’t confirmed if Stormtrooper skins will change randomly or not, I have tried confirming on Twitter but can’t seem to get a response). You can play as a hero in both modes but the AI cannot play as heroes in Walker Assault but can play as them in Fighter Squadron. AI is smart, can disable objectives, shoot AT-ATs and AT-STs, etc. AI have star card hands that are capable of multiple tasks, such as fighting an AT-ST with a smart rocket or using ion shot on an AT-AT. You will have all weapons in the game to use and can choose from two well balanced star card hands, Endor apparently has a different hand, the third hand can be unlocked by completing Skirmish on Hard mode and allows you to use multiplayer cards. You can use all heroes in Skirmish (including new ones if you own them).
Interesting thought: DICE stopped including multiplayer modes in single player when they changed from their Refractor engine. Perhaps the AI code was incompatible with the current engine. And perhaps now they have offline code, they might expand on it for future games. I suspect it is too late to include this in Battlefield 1, but I expect it in the next Battlefront for sure.
So something funny I learned today when doing the training modes. The Snowtroopers in the 'Invasion' mission are not using E-11s, they're using EE-3s. You really wouldn't notice unless you're messing with the cinematic tools. [t]https://i.imgur.com/G4SIjZe.png[/t]
Star Wars: The Old Republic, Sith Assassin [t]https://scontent-mxp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/l/t31.0-8/13730800_10208604278895812_581258018376257083_o.jpg[/t] Agree for left, disagree for right
If you can, body of left and mask of right.
Wow, the AI in the new Battlefront skirmish mode looks absolutely terrible:
I looked at some videos and it seems exactly like what I thought it would be. Something you can jump in to whenever you feel like, turn off your HUD and wreak havoc. I like how hero tokens are easily obtainable as well.
Personally, when you've been going up against no-lifers for 20 straight games, beating on some dumb AI opponents sounds therapeutic.
If you can, body of left and mask of right.
I did try that, but the color unification fucks up the mask's colour scheme
Side note, the AI uses names from the previous games. [editline]20th July 2016[/editline] More gameplay. The Walker assault gameplay is a hour long because they show off the different difficulties, there are timestamps in the description for them. Same with Fighter Squadron [editline]20th July 2016[/editline] There are more hero pickups in Skirmish, and AI won't pick them up. If you're doing Co-op, same team, you and your friend can both be heroes.
I'm going to assume you don't get any progress towards your rank or Hutt contracts in Skirmish?
I'm going to assume you don't get any progress towards your rank or Hutt contracts in Skirmish?
No. Skirmish has no bearing on your online progress.
Lame
No. Skirmish has no bearing on your online progress.
Figures. Oh well
Lame
Why? It wouldn't exactly be fair to have people grinding offline so they can easily unlock things for the online game, would it? I can remember this happened in SWBF2: you kept the awards you earned in single player on your career profile and that carries over into MP, so that Award Rifle, Rage buff, vehicle repair and Award Pistol you earned in SP is immediately useable against online opponents. EDIT: Inserted quote because there was another post while I was posting.
Lame
However, in Skirmish you have access to all the weapons I believe, so you don't need to unlock them there.
Do they let you wear unlockable skins in skirmish without being level 50 or whatever
Do they let you wear unlockable skins in skirmish without being level 50 or whatever
You do not have access to any customization in Skirmish. You will be a randomly-selected Rebel Trooper, or a Stormtrooper (with his helmet on always). It's all in the things have been posted these past few days, if you care to look.
However, in Skirmish you have access to all the weapons I believe, so you don't need to unlock them there.
Plus you have access to your first MP hand too, so you can bring in Star Cards you have unlocked via Hutt Contract.
Do they let you wear unlockable skins in skirmish without being level 50 or whatever
You don't get to choose your appearance.
