I spent all, fucking, day getting the two new guns. Jyn's isn't bad. A bunch of kills with different weapon types. Manageable. Krennic's though, 25 kills as him. I hate hero kill requirements because it boils down to luck, even in hero modes. But whatever, I sucked it up and unlocked both. The last few rounds of Heros vs Villains I actually got a competent team. And I have to say, I freaking love playing as Director Krennic. His armor break skill (basically turns his pistol's standard fire into a one shot sniper bolt), and his droid that summons a shield and kills anyone close to it with gas are amazing. Had a Luke player run up to me from behind and died because he was low health and the droid's gas killed him. Priceless.
I just wanna finish this hutt contract and I need to win ONE GAME of Battle Station. I have been searching for one for over an hour now. Haven't found a single player. What the fuck fuuuuuuuck
You really don't need any high-rank weapons or star cards in order to kick ass. I'm closing in to 400 hours played and the best loadout IMO is the E-11, personal shield, bacta and jump pack. Am I the only one who thinks that the new weapons are absolute shit? The "revolver" is so hard to aim with because of the annoying crosshair and you have to land all your shots or else you're dead. Engaging more than one enemy at a time is very risky. Not being able to use star cars while reloading is probably the thing that bothers me the most. And the A180 is only really good with its assault rifle mode but when that's on cooldown you're stuck with a pretty poor pistol. With that said, I think the new maps are growing on me. And Krennic's armor breaker is insane. You can just hit the ground next to people and they will still get oneshotted.
I'll agree the new guns aren't anything amazing. My go-to's end up being the repeater, the t21-b (or the dlt19-X if it's a huge map), and the night sniper pistol. But unlocking new guns when they come out is more of a collector's OCD thing. I can't stand seeing locked guns on my menu. Certain star cards I can live without, already got the ones I care about like the scatter gun and trip mine.
I've more or less stuck to either the EE-3 or A280C as my go-to guns.
i bought Battlefront Ultimate Edition when it was on sale during Black Friday and I still haven't launched it successfully, the directx error is killing me help
i know i'm skipping it if it doesn't have the clone wars era.
I it's not even like i prefer that era or anything, but leaving it out shows a poor overall approach to the series and the lack of content makes it even worse. The original two games were all about playing the battles from the movies and universe, by leaving out the Clone Wars era for the new one they removed half the content (and point) of the game and then didn't replace it with anything. It's not about whether people prefer that era or not, it's the amount of content from it that matters.
Their supposed reasoning was they wanted to have a 1 amazing quality era, not 2 ok-quality eras.
Their supposed reasoning was they wanted to have a 1 amazing quality era, not 2 ok-quality eras.
Well that didn't happen, either. Amazing quality in terms of graphics and atmosphere, but that was it.
I think DICE not wanting to make a Battlefield clone bit them in the ass.
i just hope the first BF was a testing ground for a more complete BF2 but then again i'm a bastard known for his optimism right
Fundamentally if they kept it like Battlefield Clone the game would have more player, as well as tacking on the Clone Wars Era. For one even in Heroes vs Villains in Battlefront 2 we had two separate Heroes for each Era. Just off the top of my head I could think of several Heroes and Villains for a CW era. Heroes: Anakin,Obi-Wan,Ahsoka,Rex,Cody,Fives,Padme,Mace,Delta Squad(anyone of them since they appeared in TCW) Villains: Dooku,Maul,Grievous,Savage,Ventress,Pre-Vizla,Hondo,Cade Bane. Granted the majority are Jedi but you can diversify how they play based on what we see. Rex would be a DPS hero Cody would be Princess Leia/Krennic Hero Fives would be Gadgets like Boba or Nein Nub. Grievous would be a Leia/Vader Hybrid. Savage would be slow but has a large HP Pool to make up for it. Cad Bane would be gadgets but has a damage buff. Hell customization of Clones and Droids would be great because clones could have Phase 1,Phase 2, with Legion Markings, ARC Troopers,Galactic Marines. Droids would have commander, squad leader,Commandos,Tactical,Super Tactical and so forth.
just heard about this, i'll probably give it a try. i believe it's out for ios now, android release on the 17th.
Dr.Aphra? Well then.
her comic series just started up, too.

Those Stormtrooper helmets look weird. [editline]8th December 2016[/editline]
Dr.Aphra? Well then.
Evaan Verlaine from the Leia comics is there as well.
Played the X-Wing VR mission at a buddy's house yesterday and it was goddamn amazing. I need them to make an entire game with a full campaign with a ton of missions, stat. And if they could TIE Fighter it up a little, that'd be nice, but I know that kind of sim stuff is not going to fly these days.
Infiltration for the Scariff DLC while fun is beyond frustrating for so many reasons. Phase One is just badly balanced with X-Wings vs TIES. Normally fighter squadron is mixed with other ships but just these two against each other is just a pain if you're flying Empire side. Just because of their shield ability and longer range I've alone escorted a UWing and took out well over 10 people trying to destroy it by hanging back slightly. Phase 2 and 3 suffer from just bad gimmicks that either allow for an easy win or objective play. I've seen maybe a half dozen times people arming or disarming the bombs with the shield on because it's a free pass at it. Hero tokens are phase 2 and 3. U-Wing vehicle literally spawns maybe 2-3 times so only a handful get to play with it compared to the tie striker being called in every other minute. Jyn cant get the objective for rebels and she's a weaker hero especially on scariff.Krennic fares better due to him being an defensive hero who plays the objective. Jyn is some flanker type hero really. Never see her last long at all in Scariff due shit always narrowing out. Jyn is now where near as inbalanced as Red Five for the trench run though. Like gets a self heal, better shields, more hp and hero wing men to do the tench run which is just horse shit. Meanwhile Jyn isn't a Luke,Lando,or Han in terms of speed and raw damage, she's like lower damage dengar. In its own regards it's a worse version of battle station. Rebels hardly ever win and I say that because I've only won it maybe 4 times out of the 10 hours I've played the DLC
What saddens me the most about the current state of Star Wars: The Old Republic is the absolute lack of things to do beside clearing the current main story on your main and call it a day. I mean ... 1) There are no ops (raids) to do. If you are into PvP, you are doing the same old arenas ad nauseam 2) If you want to gear up your character well, you have to go through the new Uprisings, which are shallow, recycled mini-dungeons filled with fake difficulty. Hope you like grinding them for Command points. Nor that you need the extra edge, because PvE solo content is easy as fuck enough as it is 3) The whole Zakuul storyline (KotFE + KotET) is clearly tailored up to the Force-using classes, to the point that even the few characters I'd like to try out beside my neutral-to-light-side Sith assassin main just won't fit in the whole thing for me (Imperial agent, smuggler or bounty hunter) or I wouldn't have many roleplaying ideas about them (Sith warrior, Jedi knight or Jedi consular) 4) I could achieve the Legendary status by playing the Republic class stories, which I dodged up to this day. But, to be honest, this game has been out for a while now and I'm kinda sick of the vanilla content (unless I'm levelling up that one alt chara to bring him/her above level 50) Really, it's kinda sad.
My favourite republic class is Smuggler
I have to believe that Bioware have some further content planned. At the very least they have to be planning more recruitment missions for the companions we don't have yet. Also maybe I'm just crazy, but I could have sworn that a while back Bioware teased that [sp]Malgus[/sp] was still alive. I assumed he'd be coming back as a companion but I haven't seen a single thing about him since.
My favourite republic class is Smuggler
Yeah, about him/her: can you honestly see the character well in the shoes of the Outlander?
Yeah, about him/her: can you honestly see the character well in the shoes of the Outlander?
Personally of all the non-force users I think that the Agent or Trooper fill the role perfectly. More so with the Agent because the only companions of the agent NOT to make an appearance are Vector and Ensign Temple. Agent got two story mission companions, once of which is central to KOTFE and KOTET, and then one Alliance Alert. IMO if you take away the force users then the Imperial Agent is the next best Main character. Lightside Agent is the best of course.
If we're thinking of the same thing, that wasn't a tease it was a cut story, or just a joke.
fuck you Bioware got me hyped for nothing
So I killed about 18 people with trip mines alone in Battle Station today. I can't help but just laugh every time I see that kill confirmation, because you just know that player at the other end is saying something along the lines of "GOD DAMMIT!" :v: Just crouch, arm one of the side doors close to your end so they can't see it until the door opens, and watch the hilarity. Easily one of my favorite Star Cards
I need some esthetic help regarding my Sith assassin Agree for left, disagree for center, funny for right
I don't have rating enabled, but I like the left the most.
