Why would they? If they wanted it to be canon they'd just say it's canon, they wouldn't need to remake the game.
Well, depends if there is anything in KOTOR1&2 that contradict anything in the new Canon.

There is a fan made remake which looks like shit, that is about it.
A remake wouldn't make it canon unless the story group says so.
Though I can't think of anything in KOTOR1 that contradicts anything in the new canon.
Oh yeah that fan remake is terrible I just remember rumors where floating around that biowares new Star Wars rpg is a remake of Kotor 1 or they were testing the waters on the ios port to see if they should.

Christ that looks awful.

Well it was pre-alpha when it was cancelled, and the focus was consoles not PC, so it wasn't optimized yet.

According to the video descriptions this footage was recorded in 2008, he doesn't actually have the game.

I doubt anything really does. As far as really matters, canon at this point practically only stretches back to Darth Bane's accomplishments; KOTOR is 3000 years before him. It would also flesh out a lot of early SW galaxy history in the new canon; something which is really lacking right now.
That Battlefront III video looks exactly like what I'd have expected from Battlefront III. People are probably judging it in hindsight now he have uber-HD and we've all had a taste of the new game. Bear in mind that is a video from the very first training mission in the campaign and not in the Conquest mode.
To be honest, I'd take that, with its inferior graphics, over the new game any day of the week. I'd love to see it finished.
It looks like that gameplay predates the alpha teaser that everyone creamed themselves over. I don't see any reason to whine about it if it's an early, unpolished build.
Also, the Death Star dlc is free to play for the weekend, and double XP too in battlefront.

The history might be canon, but the gameplay mechanics aren't. Lightsabers are assembled completely differently to how they are in the new canon, they follow the old Legends system.
To be completely fair, there's a 4000 year timegap. Assembling lightsabers could've simply been different back then.
I don't really know how they're assembled in the new canon so I might be being dumb.
Replace all the visuals of that old video with the Frostbite engine, keep the gameplay and it'd be fantastic

Rebels changed Malachor, so that would need to be changed up

Well, technically KOTOR II had Malachor V, so it could be something like the Yavin/Yavin IV situation.

It seems obvious they were trying to go with the KOTOR parallel, Sith Jedi War, some sort of devastating attack, planet devastated.

True, but there isn't an outright contradiction. Malachor V was a victim of the Mandalorian Wars, not KOTOR-era Jedi/Sith conflicts. They did both host ancient Sith complexes, but it isn't that much of a stretch to imagine multiples in a close proximity (plus the technical difference of it being an academy in KOTOR and a temple in Rebels). Unless we go as far as rewriting parts of the Exile's backstory, there's still a fair amount of space for KOTOR II to remain as is.
I was thinking about getting Jedi Outcast while it's on sale even though I already have Jedi Academy. I've heard that Jedi Academy was good for multiplayer while Jedi Outcast does a better job with its singleplayer story. Do you guys think it's worth it?
absolutely. jedi outcast has a decent mp as well, but the story kicks all kinds of ass because kyle katarn is the man.
So why hasn't DICE nerfed Lando yet

I need to find this and watch it.

It's also known as The Final Comedown (B-movies tended to get released under multiple titles, they were copyright disasters).
Haven't seen it but from what I hear Billy Dee Williams is a black revolutionary fighting against the oppressive white police.
So basically he's playing Lando.
In Canada lego TFA Deluxe edition is 20 cents cheaper then the normal edition :v:

If you're on PC, use a controller. It makes the flying 10 times more bearable but still not as good as it should be.
I feel like I might be one of the few people with this opinion, but I just don't get what the big deal is about Battlefront 2, like yeah it's not bad, but it's not holy shit amazing game 11/10 or anything, I really don't get why people praise it so much.
Maybe it's the fact that on PC, it's still very much alive because of mod support, with excellent mods coming out (like Battlefront III Legacy, Dark Times, the Conversion Project etc). Maybe it's the fact it proves that pretty graphics aren't everything. It's certainly a deeper game than the newest one. There's all sorts of reasons why it's seen as one of the best Star Wars games.
BF2 is a simple game, and no it's not perfect. The objectives are repetitive and the shooting is really basic It doesn't even capture star wars perfectly. Plus the bots are rather boring.
It is, however, easy to get into. Puts you into some really large scale battles. Lets you play in two different ages, and is that kinda game you can give your kids.
It's also one of those games where you don't quite look at it for what it is, but what it could be. It's a game that made the prequel era cool before the clone wars cartoon.
It's not 10/10, but it's that kind of 8/10 that keeps you sucked in despite it's flaws.
/never played it with mods, so I don't know too much about that.
Here's a few mods to look at:
SWBF3 Legacy:

Dark Times:

The Battles Of The Clone Wars (based on the TV series):

You have no idea what you're missing out on, mods are part of the reason the game was still going strong when gamespy died. Also, a pretty good community. Damn it, now I'm getting flashbacks.
