Star Wars Gaming Megathread Episode II - Attack of the Season Pass

I think having the map be full of jobber generic npc clones and battle droids(like the originals) while the players are unique higher ranked clones/droids or even mercenaries(including mandalorians) would be a cool way to handle the game having customization while not being too lorebreaking.
I'd also be very disappointed if you couldn't play as a republic commando at a high level, since they are canon.
Being a unique guy, minus hero units, defeats the idea of the battlefront games. Class-based loadouts are how it should be, not call of duty lone wolf nonsense.
Honestly I wasn't thinking that much when I posted that, but you're right. Maybe Respawn's Star Wars game could be the kinda game I was thinking about, since I realized what I posted was closer to Titanfall without mechs than Battlefront.
Btw that new moba, force arena, is finally out on android, i think it's been available for ios a few weeks now.
See. I think the best way to do battlefront would be to do tiers.
Heroes
Player classes/custom heroes.
Fodder with blasters. (because only so many miniguns, wookies, dark troopers and magna guards should be found)
And then players can command fodder. Sometimes as generals and sometimes as on-ground leaders.
Empire: rather ballanced.
Rebels: rather ballanced
Clones: rather ballanced
Droid army: There is a lot more fodder and more types too.
Jedi: There are no classes or fodder. make up your own jedi or play a hero.
Mandalorians: there are no classes or fodder. Customise mandos to your heart's content.
Maul's criminal empire: Rather ballanced.
Various aliens: really varied from alien to alien. Umbarans and geonosians basically have one type of infantry and a lot of cool vehicles.
The Umbaran arc from the clone wars was absurdly awesome. I wanna see it in a game. Hell, I'd pay for it, and I don't normally do DLC like that.
That sounds more like an RTS.
I never understood why people said Taris is boring. I thought it was great.

From TV Tropes
It's also worth mentioning that Taris also starts to drop subtle hints that, as I mentioned above, there are really some instances that can only end in violence and that you either wield a lightsaber or you'll spend the majority of any given fight trying to whack or shoot people and missing like half the time
which game are we talking about lol
SWTOR taris is boring as shit but kotor taris was pretty sweet, there was a lot to do. The bounty hunting and fight club were on that planet.

that doesn't automatically mean any voice they pick fits...

He also voiced him in Clone Wars, which is probably why they chose him for Battlefront.
Holy shit, it's like I'm right there! And I'm sure episode 1 will be AWESOME!

both Rogue Squadron and Battle for Naboo were the shit
the obi-wan xbox game is underrated
mainly because hardly anyone remembers it exists lol
I think i got that game the day I got my OG Xbox
My favorite hero to play in EAfront outside of broken Lando is Jyn. Despite all the times I've seen Jyn player die within 2 minutes of selecting her, I've never had a bad round with her. Also always getting 20+ kills of keeping the objective safe enough to make a different. She is quite a capable hero, ever again other heroes despite most people's assumption.
The near correction to use Jyn is not as a straight attacker like Bossk,Han,Dengar,Greedo, and Lando. It's basically sticking to ambushing or using the sonic detonator to blind and then take out small groups. Doesn't mean she can't handle herself, the blaster mod for her deals great damage and is very accurate, and truncheon charge can take out people attempt to run gimmicks or an easy kill. Best round I've ever used Jyn was on Scariff and and I got a 52+ man Kill streak because I either protecting the objective runner or ambushing the imperials. That and attacking their spawn is super easy.
Also using escape artist will make you super fast at level 3 and piss a lot of people off.
use krennic
he legitimately has a one-hit-kill option

Which can still be glitched out to give you it infinitely.
So broken.
When is battlefront EA not broken?
why can't we have a good battlefront anymore? like the first 2 had more shit then eafront like vehicles thats not on rails, at-at's having its head 90 degrees up when you on them, or the glitch where you can walk in space outside the star destroyers and what not.

I don't expect them to put enough content in the next game to match the originals or even really come close, they just don't seem like that sort of developer to me. I expect they'll say something like "It's our unique vision for the game!" to defend it, as well. For example, their excuse for having no Space Battles was this:
We want players to stay in the same [environment] – we don’t want players to fly off and do something over *here.* It’s about the Battlefront experience, so we want to keep you in-atmosphere and fighting with the infantry.
Didn't they also say they only had 1 era in Battlefront because they "wanted to do it right" or something like that?
Game development has also changed a lot since Battlefront 1 and 2, it takes a lot more time and effort to make maps, model textures, sounds then it did 10+ years ago.

They said something along the lines that they wanted to focus all their effort on making a great single era, instead of splitting up the effort of making two 'ok' eras.
But as I said before, I could totally see Battlefront 2 having OT with the ST since they already have the OT assets made, and the game is also being Co-Developed with another company, so they have some more man power.
The trouble with doing the PT is that while the current customization system would work with the Clone Troopers, it would not necessarily work with the droids. Battle Droids are just too diverse.

WHO IN THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS?!
It was taking place in the Legacy era.. so who knows.
Everytime I heard something about the Darth Maul game, I become more curious about what it's plot was going to be.
Well, we know it was in the Legacy era, only because George Lucas wanted Darth Talon in it.
It's worth mentioning that the picture's file name is "sith_emporer"

It can, and it doesn't have to.
You need to make more, but the tools are better. You can also sacrifice some detail for more. DICE also have a fuckton of workers more than they would've had 10 years ago. Battlefield EA had like 40 something weapon unlocks or something. They needed like... 6-10 weapons a side. About 4 character models a team, the vehicles, a few heroes, and some prefabs.
Huge outdoor terrains are rather easy. Prefab work for structures is rather easy. Unique work can be a pain, but it's not what you should rely on. Imperial stuff is pretty simple architecturally.

This idea that they can take pictures and turn them into models for the game? Should really increase, rather than decrease the content.
Focusing all their effort on making a great single era? They started with a pitiful amount of maps and simplistic, unrefined gameplay.
Like many people, I'd be happier if they cloned battlefield, took out iron sights, and slapped a starwars skin on it. The latest battlefields started with more maps too, did they not?
Playing Kotor, got to Dantooine, ass kicked by Mandalorians. I forgot this game was actually kinda hard. Never finished though.

Doesn't necessarily make it legacy era. Talons not canon
darth talon in legends was in the legacy era, and if she were in the game, it had to have been in legacy
no matter how canon she is, that's simply a fact unless lucas wanted to shit up her story as well
