Do your ships do more laser damage when you have low throttle in Battlefront EA?
Do your ships do more laser damage when you have low throttle in Battlefront EA?
Yes.
https://www.pcgamesn.com/star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-3-kotor-3 Not sure if I want this to be true or not.
As much as today's BioWare deserves everything bad it gets, if it's a remake of sort, I can get behind that. I have serious troubles picturing another roleplaying videogame with an original story taking place in The Old Republic era, given the existence of the MMORPG and the way it basically closed up all the outstanding plot businesses from the two games. ... Unless they are going with a "And now for someone completely different" approach
Plus, I'm not sure if they're allowed to make another Legends game unless it is a remake. But who knows.
The Battlefront 2 teaser has supposedly leaked...i can't believe it...space battles, All 3 eras, a campaign focusing on the OT... https://vimeo.com/212842535

https://vimeo.com/212842535
You do know an active group of modders is recreating Battlefront 3 in Battlefront 2 right? of what I've played its unfinished but remarkably good in terms of quality. they're calling it battlefront 3:legacy.
That, uh, has nothing to do with what he posted? Battlefront II 2 is going across ALL 3 ERAS, Clone, OG, and New. Along with a singleplayer campaign. From that snippet I'm pretty hopeful for it to actual have depth now. I guess we'll see in the official announcement.
Well now. I may even consider buying that.
This is likely the teaser for the full trailer coming on the 15th at Celebration. CIS Ships, Republic Star Destroyers and Arc-170s [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] This ship design is very familiar, is it from the EU? [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] Ah someone answered that question already in the SW Mega Thread, it is a Raider Class Corvette http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Raider-class_corvette It was created by Fantasy Flight Games for their table top game. Neat. [editline]12th April 2017[/editline] Selecting different factions for maps might be back, because if this is Maz's planet, then those are the wrong TIE Fighters for the era. It might not be Takodana though. The Falcon does have its TFA Radar/Comm Dish
I think it is Takodana. Why would that be bad? In the original games you could play maps in eras that weren't originally intended: for instance, you could play Clone Wars in Yavin IV Temple, even though the Temple was only used as a base during the Galactic Civil War. In Battlefront 2 you could play on Death Star in the Clone Wars era even though it did not exist at that time.
I think it is Takodana. Why would that be bad?
I didn't say it was bad.
I didn't say it was bad.
I misread your post. But there is probably somebody who thinks that anyway.
In case anyone was wondering/doubting weather or not BF2 will re-use old assets. [sp]Of course they will. Just a fun observation[/sp] I also noticed that the rocks look similar to the ones in Battlefield 1 however I couldn't find an exact match.
pretty certain the old BF2 also recycled stormtroopers and such from BF1, and the assets of the first DICEfront work fine. you're making a problem out of nothing. i'm becoming rather convinced that the first game was something of a test bed for the sequel, in the "let's see how this works and if we can expand on it later" kind of way.
pretty certain the old BF2 also recycled stormtroopers and such from BF1, and the assets of the first DICEfront work fine. you're making a problem out of nothing.
Correct. They recycled the Stormtroopers, Clone Troopers, Dark Troopers and Battle Droids, and many of the vehicles were also recycled.
pretty certain the old BF2 also recycled stormtroopers and such from BF1, and the assets of the first DICEfront work fine. you're making a problem out of nothing.
I didn't mean to present it as a bad thing. Of course it would be stupid not to do it. It's just found it to be a mildly interesting find.
perhaps i was a little too confrontational there then i don't see why they wouldn't reuse the first 'Fronts models and such though. it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
I couldn't care if they recycle entire maps into the next one, as long as they don't see that as an excuse to cut out on new content. I'm going to be expecting a full Battlefront game this time around, and if they let us play on maps from Battlefront 1 as well that's a bonus.
The 15th can't get here any faster
I hope it will be a different game and not a Battlefield clone.
I hope it will be a different game and not a Battlefield clone.
The 2015 title isn't a Battlefield clone. Ironically, a Battlefield 'clone' would be a heck of a lot closer to the original Battlefront games, which were themselves essentially Battlefield with a Star Wars skin.
I hope it will be a different game and not a Battlefield clone.
Statements like these ruined Battlefront EA 1 [editline]13th April 2017[/editline] Because a Battlefield clone would've been a lot better.
Give me Battlefield 1 with a Star Wars skin and I would have been happy.
I know, thats why I love it. I'm just afraid they will butcher whatever they did, and just make a clone, because people complained about Battlefront 1. And what would be a point of reboot, if the game would be literally the same as the old games. I don't know why people compare new Battlefront to the old ones, it's like a decade of gaming industry change, get over it. Games are made differently now.
Statements like these ruined Battlefront EA 1 [editline]13th April 2017[/editline] Because a Battlefield clone would've been a lot better.
Why? What is wrong about casual fun "arcady" shooter with unique systems? I guess people don't like some of them, but clone of existing game, just because people like the other game, is just stupid, and waste of opportunities. I had more fun in current Battlefront, than I did in Battlefield 1, or any Battlefront before. And it is because the game is so different than others, and is actually fun to play. Sorry for liking the gameplay and not hating on card system.

Because it uses the title and in so doing it knowingly targeted the fanbase of the original games who have been clamouring for a third title for a very long time. Yes, the games industry evolves and no, it shouldn't be identical to the original games. But it doesn't have the spirit of the original games (which is what they were hoping to invoke by using the Battlefront title), nor does it live up to its own lofty promises of 'playing out your own Star Wars battle fantasies' - what if I wanted to play in the Clone Wars? Not offered, and I am supremely happy they are doing that in the next game. What if I wanted to fly through space and blow up Star Destroyers? Not offered at launch and was only offered because of fan backlash. On top of that, you have the royal mismanagement of PR in the aftermath when it comes to DLC, Skirmish, more content that was promised but never delivered etc. I know they want to put a lot more effort into the second game, and that's why they said no more but they strung everbody along before saying this stuff wasn't happening, instead of being up front about it. That's why it was a let-down.

That's a weak reasoning, you don't expect from new Tomb Raider to have same gameplay as the first game ever. Same should be applied here, it's a reboot with a new gameplay, not a remake.
It wasn't mechanically sound. At all. The cards completely break the flow of the game by randomly dropping in shit at random times. The same goes for having next to no content including vehicles. The rebels don't even fucking get a land vehicle at all, and limiting AT-ATs to powerups is fucking hilariously shortsighted. The game also lost players in like, 90% of the modes nearly instantly because they were either unbalanced, unfun or not thought out at all. The game had no depth, even remotely, and was very clearly not played to the full extent even by the developers. How do I know this? From launch to well over a year later, one of the trait cards was objectively broken, Bounty Hunter meant that you could spam the already fucking stupid homing rocket infinitely. Every.Single.Time. you fired it would regenerate basically instantly, meaning you could instantly kill anyone at any time 100% of the time after like, two kills. While also gaining free items every other time including airstrikes, instant recharges for other abilities, rocket launchers and the like. The game wasn't even meant to have longevity, BF2 was hinted at being in development before even the free first map came out, less than a month after launch. It was a moneygrubbing, shallow game that was just slightly more content filled than BF1943, a fucking $15 XBLA game.
The rebels don't even fucking get a land vehicle at all
Because there were none in the movies. Hopefully they learned their lesson over that nonsense. They did start adding non-movie stuff in later updates/DLC and the teaser for BF2 shows an Imperial Starship that was originally from Legends.
