[QUOTE=Ricenchicken;52327116]So are we likely to get a beta similar to Battlefield 1 after E3?[/QUOTE] Probably a 10 hour trial with EA Access.
According to a leaker on reddit, who so far has gotten everything right regarding the EA Play demo, Super Battledroids are not a class, but one of the 'special characters' DICE mentioned in the info. Which makes sense to me, how would you customize a SBD? They don't fit in the 4 classes DICE has said is in the game. which are all troops with hands and blasters. All the weapons of the SBD are built in.
...there's a bunch of different types of super battle droids, just swap parts
they're also slower, and don't move the same as the others. All the factions have the exact same classes AFAIK. So it it wouldn't fit. All the other classes use actual hand held blasters, which means they'll probably share weapons.
Wait so, what about Droidekas? If they're not a special class then they can get out.
there better be droidekas
The leaker says there are no Droidekas, yet.
If they're not in the base game you can almost guarantee it'll be packed into some overpriced DLC, if that's the case then holy shit, fuck off.
They're allegedly trying to change their DLC policy. So it might not be overpriced.
I'll have to see it to believe it, they might make the packs cheaper but give us less content so they don't feel like they're getting robbed, as ironic as that might sound.
I could see why Destroyer Droids would not be at launch, they're pretty different from everything else mechanically. But they're also so iconic it would be a damn shame if they were not in
Fuck Destroyer droids. I wanna play as crab droids.
Spider droids are where it is at
Dude, they had destroyer droids in BF 2. If they can't work with something a game from a decade ago could do what's the point of advancing tech?
Just because an old game can do something, doesn't mean a new game can. Not every game engine can do what previous engines can do The frostbite engine probably wasn't designed with something like that in mind. DICE wouldn't have had the foresight that they'd be making a Star Wars game
I think the worst possible justification for the content in the previous game was that "Oh it wasn't in the Original Trilogy". As if that fucking justifies not having a decent selection of vehicles. There's a massive amount of content that could be used that just wasn't. Especially since Legends content is basically free reign if it's not wildly out of place, ships and weapons are pulled from it constantly.

The only legends weapons in the DLC were the dark forces weapons weren't they?
[QUOTE=Tuskin;52332761]The only legends weapons in the DLC were the dark forces weapons weren't they?[/QUOTE] Yeah, but there's also the TIE Defenders in the Death Star as well (though one might argue those were canonized by that point), and while not Legends, the T-21B and X-8 are both unique to Battlefront and appear in no media prior.
Wookiepedia's page on the Bryar pistol says there are 3 legends weapons in the game. I know the imperial repeater is another, but what is the third? [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] The Defender would have been written into Rebels by the time the Death Star DLC cane out. While the episode wouldn't have aired it would have been worked on So technically Battlefront would have been its first canon appearance (if you ignore the mobile games) the Defender would have been canon internally at LucasFilm [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] [video]https://twitter.com/eastarwars/status/873162799874281472[/video] [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] The x-8 night sniper was in Clone Wars before Battlefront
Those Battle Droids look great! I wonder if the Security Droids take the roles of snipers like they do in the original games?
I'm guessing colour will differentiate the classes. My guesses: Yellow = Officers Red = Specialist ??? = Heavy no-color = Assault The only canon 4th colour is Blue, but those are pilots. They might make something up or borrow from legends.
seeing those droids unfold makes me nostalgic as shit [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] the droid army deployment scene on the Naboo plains in Ep1 was the little me's favorite part in the entire film
the disclaimer at the bottom says 'game engine' footage, not 'in game'. But I wonder if it is representative of the game. maybe the CIS players get an opening cutscene showing the droids being deployed. Or it is just going to be a cinematic trailer.
To be fair Battlefield 1's game engine footage and final release were pretty much the same. DICE stuff generally looks the same from trailers to the actual game. If they do the dumb celebrity gameplay again, I'd like to see celebrities who are actually interested in gaming. Basically, minus Zac Efron and Jamie Foxx, but plus Terry Crews. I'd prefer random people so they can actually cut to everyone rather than feel obliged to cut to a few peoples' feeds. [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] Someone posted the youtubers attending on the battlefront reddit: [img_thumb]https://i.redd.it/1hhmsukvoi2z.jpg[/img_thumb] I'll assume they're doing 20 v 20, so there probably will be celebrities again. Someone threw out that he'd like to see John Boyega, which would be pretty nice since he actually played the first one and seemed to have liked it (although he called for a single player campaign.) Just checked his twitter and it looks like he's performing in a play so I doubt he'd be at E3.
Star Wars HQ will be playing? Fuck, those guys are the most annoying duo I've ever seen. Their voices are so perplexing. How do you sound like you still breastfeed at mid-30s?
New pre-order bonus [url]https://www.ea.com/games/starwars/battlefront/battlefront-2/news/star-wars-battlefront-ii-2017-pre-order-beta[/url] Early Beta access and a 'lightsabre mastery star card' for Yoda. [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] also [url]https://www.origin.com/can/en-us/store/star-wars/star-wars-battlefront-2/standard-edition[/url] [img]http://i.imgur.com/whdXS6A.png[/img] The asterisks are pointing to: ***Requires Star Wars Battlefront II on applicable platform (sold separately), all game updates, internet connection, EA account, and, for console players, Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership (each sold separately).
They mention beta is in the fall, so I guess no after E3 beta then :(
Recently I was able to pick up Star Wars Force Commander for 5 bucks at a game store, anyone know anything about the game?
I thought it was a decent RTS, but I saw a lot of hate for it for some reason around the time it came out. [editline]9th June 2017[/editline] Dennis Brännvall, a, Associate Design Director at DICE is a fan of the Clone Wars, he quoted Fives on reddit when asked which side he liked the most.
