So I decided to dual boot windows 10 just to see if it was my windows 8.1 fucking me over. Went from that 45 fps no matter the settings to 80-100 fps on ultra with no stutter. Wtf [editline]7th December 2015[/editline] Planning on just using 10 on a full installation in the near future, especially for DX12 but I'm amazed that this fixed my issue.

I'm having big memory/loading issues with the game. It runs at a steady 40-ish FPS, enough for me. However it just keeps freezing for a couple seconds every once in a while. It feels like the game doesn't have enough memory, but I got 8gb, so the recommended amount. And no, I don't run anything in the background at the same time. That sucks, because the game's fun, but it just kills it.

Does anyone else get a lot more stuttering after shift+tab'ing into steam overlay once in game?

Let me know if it helps. - oh wait nevermind then.

Stuttering issues seem totally random for me. One day I'll start up the game and it will run buttery smooth while I blow the shit out of a large military base, the next I try to play and I'm getting a glorious 1 frame per 2 seconds just wingsuiting around the wilderness between towns. Win7, R9 290x, latest beta drivers. No idea what the cause might be behind the random performance issues, though I notice that often times when I try to close the game the normal way through the menus it seems to get stuck in some kind of loop and I have to close it through task manager. I suspect some kind of memory leak.

How do you drive motorcycles on the PC version? It's like the steering column is jammed full of peanut butter.

The bikes are okay if you grab a military one or a higher end one.

I want to buy this but I'm torn between where to get it from. If I buy it from Steam, I pay $83AUD but have the option to get a refund if it doesn't run properly. If I buy it from greenmangaming I can get it for $66 but lose the refund option. Is there any way to tell before purchasing whether or not it'll run smoothly on my machine?

I just got this and it runs like ass, even with the Nvidia recommended defaults for my system. Any hint as to what to turn off? I'm on an i5 4690 and a GTX 760.

Only things I could say is if you're using "GeForce Experience", turn shadowplay off it it happens to be on, as well as make sure that the "Manage 3D Settings" section of the Nvida Control Panel isn't hijacking and overriding your ingame settings.

Because I've never seen it take more than one or two frames.

It might just be JC3, I'm on a R390X 8GB with 16GB RAM + 4.7GHz i7 and i'll get drops to 30fps from 70+ randomly. I've tried playing with and without AMDs version of Shadowplay and it makes no difference.

Now you can hold 5 stars forever. Speaking of 5 stars, I dislike the way heat is handled. Sometimes I just want to be chased but the AI has such terrible amnesia that they will lose me if I turn a corner or hide behind a garbage can.

I was trying to get a longass time at 5 stars but the game just stopped throwing enemies at me after like 10 minutes :c
