As far as I can understand, the "night of the bonfires" that people keep referring to, or "the burning of the north" as it's called in the map, is what Di Ravello did when he came to power. All those burned-down villages were home to rebels.

Well, found my performance issues. Both my GTX 770s were on deaths door and ended up completely dying. Took the gtx 960 from the LAN pc and now 45-80 fps with every setting on highest. On the upside played it most of the weekend and got my save back up to where it was.

yeh that's the Elder Sign alright the obelisk is there to ward off the Star-Spawn of Chthulhu

Obviously it means when the first expansion comes it'll involve destroying the obelisk and Cthulhu will be the islands dictator and final boss of the expac

Finding underwater easter eggs (if there are even any) will be kinda tricky since Rico Went from being able to spend hours underwater to being able to drown while drinking a glass of water between JC2 and 3.

I beat the game last night and I'm disappointed it lacked the craziness of JC2. I really liked the mysterious island quest, mile high club, and people chanting when we liberated a stronghold

Yeah, that one race challenge where you could only use a bike (with a jump, no less) took me probably as many tries as some of the hardest wingsuit ones. I can't believe someone playtested them and went "Yep, this feels fine"

So glad I happened to wander into this thread right now because I have just attempted that motorcycle race and gave up with 2 gears. Glad I'm not the only one failing

I'm failing to ride a motorbike down a road, let alone a race Its a shame because I really like the look of the off road bikes

Not just the bikes, I think the car handling sucks too The only thing that feels ok is the helicopters and planes

Would you say this game is worth the asking price, considering it does sound a lot like JC2 but somehow worse? I played a fair amount of JC2 and thought destroying stuff was fun.

Car handling sucks as well, but it's MUCH more manageable than bikes or boats, especially when it comes to the higher end sports cars, which I'd go as far as to call fun to drive.
