this game is probably the first where I've had to cheat to fully enjoy the game. I simply cannot play the third one without giving myself the tether/wingsuit mods, because FUCK whoever thought it was a good idea to lock all these mods behind a wall.

Just got the game, and so far I'm not nearly enjoying it as much as 2. Wingsuit is cool but the grapple feels weird. The world itself and the way the game feels just isn't as good to me as 2. That being said I've only played it for a couple hours, I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I've just received the game as an early Christmas present, and I've managed to get it to a playable state (30+ fps, occasional stuttering) on an FX-6300 and R9-270. I have two of the latter in Crossfire, but the game doesn't support it yet. I run medium settings at 720p, which is way less than what I would have expected, but I'm willing to give the devs some more time to patch the game up.
Since I posted this, I installed a SSD in my machine and placed JC3 on it along with my Windows install. I think AMD might have rolled out new drivers too, but I'm not sure. Either way, I can now run the game perfectly at 720p with very high settings, and so far I'm pretty happy with the game.

My game freezes in the loading screen if I die or fail a mission.. Is that common? I am running on a laptop right now so that could be why.
One thing I really miss from Just Cause 2 is the James Bond-esque/secret spy agent soundtrack. Just Cause 3's soundtrack is kind of boring imo.
Just beat it. Did I miss something? [sp]So you kill him and that's literally it? No resolution with Sheldon? They set all that shit up and did nothing with it.[/sp]
http://justcause3mods.com/mods/grappling-options-infinite-range-double-range-etc/ Been waiting for this. Now, someone just needs to make a Bavarium Bomber.
Oh hey http://justcause3mods.com/mods/fov-patcher/
I upgraded to Windows 10 and saw notable fps improvement. Like by 10-15 fps at least.
Just got done with the wine mission, does the game pick up anywhere? I feel like all I'm doing is liberating bases and just floating from point a to point b constantly.
Just got done with the wine mission, does the game pick up anywhere? I feel like all I'm doing is liberating bases and just floating from point a to point b constantly.
that's pretty much it. most of the game consists of escort missions but there are some fun ones in there.
So this happened to me while I was doing that [sp]train mission for Rosa[/sp]:

And then it crashed shortly thereafter. Which sucks because I was having fun on that mission! EDIT: Played through the mission again it all was fine, but then I played the next mission and it crashed very similarly. For christ's sake!
Sucks that the huge island is such a barren wasteland. Like the best parts in the game were on the small islands. This game proves that sometimes bigger aint better

Just beat the game. I guess I should have gone and unlocked the ability to carry more than one rebel beacon before taking on the final boss. [sp]I had only one shot on my 3rd weapon, then I called for a bavarium nuke launcher drop. After running out of shots on that thing, I resorted to using planted explosives to kill Di Ravello. Needless to say, I died a lot.[/sp] Overall I'd say this was a worthy successor to JC2. The driving physics were massively improved, the story was more interesting, the combat was more strategic, the world map had as much or more variety than the map in the previous game, so on and so forth. However, the ending was a bit of a letdown considering what we had to cap off JC2 and I feel like there could have been a more fleshed out epilogue.
The first pack – ‘Sky Fortress’ which is the “Air” pack, is nearing completion, and will bring new missions, features and other exciting surprises to the skies of Medici. He flew forward, caught and flipped into the ground, blowing up instantly.
Some people... I just can't.... [vid]http://i.imgur.com/pIlz3Mx.webm[/vid]
Buddy of mine did it last night but just tethering him to the ground as soon as the fight started. He flew forward, caught and flipped into the ground, blowing up instantly.
i thought thats how everyone did it
I actually died to him twice. Third time I went to higher ground when the fight started and he rammed right into a wall
I actually didn't have any gear mods because I never did any of the side missions. I think my tether would have snapped if I tried that and there wasn't going to be enough time to use two of them before he raised his shields.
im p sure its possible to tether helicopters down and make them crash with the standard tether it worked for me on normal ones but idk about the bavarium one
im p sure its possible to tether helicopters down and make them crash with the standard tether it worked for me on normal ones but idk about the bavarium one
It's a little harder. I usually use two tethers to pull the helis down.
i just finished installing this game, and when i click play nothing happens, although it says i am in game. i looked in the task manager and there is a process running but nothing is coming up. been waiting a few minutes now. i've already tried running in admin and in compatibility mode but nothing is working. does anyone know what might be up? [editline]8th January 2016[/editline] figured it out, for some reason i was running at 1354x1007 resolution which the game refused to work with
christ did they have a single employee at eidos do any sort of QA testing or did they just compile the code the programmers must have written during the better part of a four day stim binge? i knew the PC port had issues but even the xbox version is piss poor. I'm less than an hour into the game and I've gotten stuck inside walls and doorless warehouses with the grapple gun many times. i've had to kill myself with grenades and re-do my current mission about six times now just because of the grapple hook fucking me over. this is to say nothing of how glitchy and shitty the movement system is. oh, you want to grapple up and jump over the railing at the top of this building? how about getting stuck in the two pixel wide lip at the very edge and falling? you like that? i just don't know. i wanted to love this game so bad after JC2 but jesus if everything isn't coming up whatever the opposite of roses is. everything feels so shitty. the driving, the gunplay, oh god the gunplay is so goddamn bad. i can't believe the left trigger doesn't even do anything on foot. they could have put even the worst kind of third person ironsights and it would be better than the aiming system implemented in the game [editline]10th January 2016[/editline] reading through the thread, apparently ironsights is a gear modification? lol yeah that makes a lot of sense. hey literally every gun in existence has had an ironsight of some sort but we're going to arbitrarily make you unable to look in a straight line down your gun until you unlock the ability to do so. even if that unlock is the first 3 gears of the tech tree
