^For everyone, no matter where you live.
Aww man, I stopped downloading with ~2 hours left to go because I didn't want to waste electricity by leaving my PC on all day. I could have played by the time I got home instead of waiting until tomorrow
Small heads up, this was posted on the steam community forums:

IMPORTANT:
A restart of the Steam client may be necessary in order to be able to start the game after it's been unlocked.
I gathered my PC would've suffered so I went for the PS4 version, turns out my PC would've been able to run it fine at High settings :(. I'm worried now, because those laggy explosions remind me of blowing stuff up on a shitty computer in GMod 9.
Why didn't you just buy it on Steam, and if it didn't work well get a refund?
Why did you preorder it in the first place when this shit happens every time?
1 more hour and I just got my new vid card in the mail, yessss.
Although it's AMD so I'm a touch worried.

In his defense, console games always run well and it's PC players that get the shitty port
apparently the game unlocks in less than an hour, but my store page still says 9 hours remaining

midnight release
it says 9 hours because about then it's around midnight in Seattle, right?
[editline]1st December 2015[/editline]
they just went with "midnight release" at valve I assume
the time on the Steam page is midnight in Seattle, devs said it should come out at 4 PM Seattle time. hopefully Steam still unlocks the game even though it's showing the wrong time
I doubt they would mislead people by telling us outright what time the game will be unlocked, and not sticking to it.
Trust the devs not the shitty steam counter that has been proven repeatedly that it's not a set in stone time.
Shit fam it's not unlocking.
well its the time, and it isn't out. So someone is in the wrong somewhere.

I'm going to assume whoever from the company was confused about time zone releases.
Restart steam now, its downloading the rest/unpacking now.

Just restarted steam, game is unpacking
I was wrong
Tis' Out.
This came out, watch it while it unpacks I guess.

Holy fuck 2 hours to unpack...guess I'm not playing tonight...
Not sure if it'll work for everyone, but setting all the Steam processes to high priority sped up the unpacking process from 30mb/s to 40mb/s for me
20 minutes to unlock.. yayy
Took about 20 minutes on my ssd. So far ground geometry barely works, at all.

Well this sucks, I'm using a 7950 with the latest drivers on the default settings.

Its faster for me to re-download the game then it is to unpack it.
Apparently the beta hotfix corrects the issue.

- No audio in the main menu (it's dead silent apart from the interface sounds)
- Quite long loading times, even on SSD (compared to the "ingame in less than 20 seconds" from Just Cause 2 (It doesn't have the visuals to justify those loading times))
- Random freezes and stutter (I have a GTX 970)
- Crash during the intro mission (shortly after driving the car)
- Annoying camera acceleration (for gamepad but I guess there is mouse acceleration as well)
I read that AMD users should download beta drivers to avoid what Fat White Lump is getting.
Not a great start. Based on JC2 and Mad Max, I thought they are great at optimizing.
Edit: The performance is better now that I turned down the LOD distance and some else I can't remember. Also the loading times are only that bad at the beginning. The graphics are better than I thought, it was just the part on foot before driving. It looked bland.
I meet the AMD recommended requirements exactly, with a bit of a CPU overclock, and I still get pretty bad framerate dips when traveling, or doing much of anything
I really hope the JC2 team can come in here and scold this team for making boom-boom in their undies
otherwise the game's alright, cars still feel like a giant ass though
To lift some of the doom and gloom problems,
970 here, max'd out settings except using SMAA instead of the next best, 90fps solid at 1080p *without action, but massive vistas, which is weird, because that's better than TB was getting iirc.
I'm really discouraged about what TB said about having to do challenges to unlock upgrades, but I really hope somebody does do a mod that unlocks it all.
Reviews don't look good. "Bad port".
I couldn't even make it to gameplay the game was hitching so bad.
This is a damn shame, I hope Avalanche can release a perf patch quick or else this could hurt their rep as a really decent company.
