After installing all my latest AMD drivers, the game runs pretty well, the issue is that there is a rampant memory leak, I have 8 gb of GDDR5 ram and the game uses up to 90% of it at a time. Hope they can fix this issue
WHY WOULD THEY MAKE THE HANDBRAKE ANYTHING OTHER THAN SPACEBAR?! I keep tapping spacebar to pull a handbrake turn like the vast majority of other racing games, and I keep just leaping on top of my car like a moron :v:

The main reason why I never drove cars
does anyone else feel like theres no anisotropic filtering despite having the setting up full?
If you're on Nvidia you can force it on in the control panel and it'll work, you can probably do something similar on AMD too
Is there a fix that lets me skip the intro? I don't want to wait for the unskippable video to end so I can actually load the main menu
This ship ignored the dock completely, there was not even any fighting with collisions: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/400055083643360360/A7B7821A561569C03012C7B82EB198BA77C8AD57/[/t] What else is wrong? - Stuttering, even when everything is turned down to low/off/640x480 - SSAO flickering - Bad bike controls (when you steer into one direction Rico first leans to the side before turning the handlebar, making quick responses impossible (at least that's how the scooter in one of the first missions react like)) - Title screen makes you look at the video where nothing happens for 20 seconds before logging in - Sometimes slow vehicle camera turning
In order: - Have you tried what I suggested above and is your drivers updated? (also check out this if you're on AMD) - First I'm hearing of SSAO flickering. - Agreed, bikes control like shit, faster bikes are slightly better though. - Title screen is actually the game loading, it's not sitting idle. - Try removing disabling the camera alignment option in the options, I found it made the camera controls in vehicles better, at least with a controller.
God, I can't wait for someone to mod/cheat engine their way to unlock everything.
Wow cars control like ass. With the wingsuit there's not much reason to use them anyway but god damn theyre bad.
The game doesn't tell you you can do this, but you can grapple the antiair cannon to something else and hoist yourself around while in it so you have an airborne anti-air cannon [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/389921984503296432/31A78947713C9519E9705D4D91F89B7205C08162/[/t] The shadow is proof it's airborne
Meh, I'm contemplating just refunding this. The game is alright, the graphics are nice and it runs really well on my computer, but I think mostly tired out of just constantly blowing things up already. Plus the driving handling still sucks.
How does the map compare to JC2? Same? Bigger?
How does the map compare to JC2? Same? Bigger?
It looks about the same to me.
Wow cars control like ass. With the wingsuit there's not much reason to use them anyway but god damn theyre bad.
They're literally thousands times better than jc2
I don't think the cars handle badly, I just don't keep W held down constantly then get mad when it won't make a tight turn at a high speed.
the handling feels like theres like no physics involved at all.
the handling feels like theres like no physics involved at all.
The handling isn't perfect but it's arcadey and good enough to let you go places. It's really not a "pedal to the metal" style of driving either.
After 3 hours of gametime, I have come to the conclusion that is a really fun game. The intro isn't as strong as JC2's though. That was off the wall crazy
Needs more Bolo 0/10
So, where can I find a plane or something early on in the game? Like, after the first mission.
[t]http://puu.sh/lG7Im/ef46527796.jpg[/t] this happened for no reason at all
So, where can I find a plane or something early on in the game? Like, after the first mission.
South western most island has a few civilian planes
How do you release tethers on a gamepad? and whats the earliest I can start doing those tether upgrade side missions?
Any way to raise the FOV from what feels like 5degrees?
How does the map compare to JC2? Same? Bigger?
It feels a lot smaller to me. I think the landmass was better distributed across the game's available space in JC2. One reason why it feels smaller is probably the amount of locations. Only 130 instead of 368. They are slightly bigger than in JC2 most of the time but the amount of stuff to destroy/activate is about the same. It's just more distributed across the location. So overall it's smaller when you're counting numbers. I got to say it's a lot more fun though. The environment does not have that slightly depressing feeling JC2 had (no more brown mountains everywhere) and completing the locations is way more entertaining than running around huts with thatched roofs while trying to find crates. When I heard about JC3 some months ago, I was thinking the wingsuit will somehow be badly integrated and the rope retract function might be a gimmick I will never use (like the air cannon from 2). It's not like that! The wingsuit is a lot more fun than parachuting and there are little randomly activated side missions where you sometimes need that retract function (transporting an indestructible case from A to B). It's also great for problem solving. After I unlocked the first garage, I found a fast vehicle I wanted to store in the garage. I was braking too late and it landed in the water. Then I attached a rope to it, the other end to a nearby house and pulled it out of the water. What I definately don't like is that chaos points seem to have absolutely no meaning, the regular guns don't have much variety in stats and feel generic as hell, the most weapons are available from the start and you cannot upgrade them in any way.
I like how the game forces you to problem solve. It will have objectives like "open the door" "open the gate" "move the boat" and you just figure out how you want to do it.
The movement and shooting feel too similar to JC2, I was hoping after 5 years Rico would control better but I guess not.
Played 14hrs now. Only just liberated the first region which is fucking tiny compared to the main island. I haven't even been on the main island yet - pretty crazy.
How do you release tethers on a gamepad? and whats the earliest I can start doing those tether upgrade side missions?
While holding the retract button push B.
So how many people found DJ Santosi?
Game runs nice for me, though I did run into one weird graphical thing today, some... I guess you'd call them colors shooting out of a hummer: [t]http://i.imgur.com/kGN0HDn.jpg[/t] You could drive it around and the colors stayed with the vehicle [t]http://i.imgur.com/myzVb7y.jpg[/t] Oh I get it! It's so you can make fun backgrounds! [t]http://i.imgur.com/GWpVKNu.jpg[/t]
