Is it actually Aopoa that has a deal with MISC? I thought it was just some undefined Xi'an corporation stuff. I don't think fears of Xi'an tech falling into human hands would be that big of a worry considering that many civilian Zi'an have aparently decided to live in UEE space, probably bringing ships with weapons with them. But yea i agree, it feels very like it and the nox will get their own weapons eventually. I am curious how their choice of gun will be.
The simplest answer is probably that they used human weapons as a place holder or just decided it would be simpler to use weapons they already had/were working on. If you want to look at it from a lore perspective then it could easily be like the real world. The import and export of weapons and weapon technologies is highly regulated. Given the modular nature of weapons in SC it could be easier to simply move the ships to their end destination and then add the weapons as a finishing touch so they don't have to deal with the import/export issues associated with that.

They essentially are the empire's "official" spacecraft manufacturer. This may very well not apply to military assets and could certainly change in the future (witness the introduction of Consolidated Outland). CIG was trying to decide if Aopoa was going to make the Nox or if they'd get the writers to invent another Xi'An corporation for ground vehicles, and Aopoa everywhere won out. Also, Consolidated Outland needs another ship. If they don't have a spacebike of some kind by launch, CIG has dropped the ball.
I wonder if banu ships will have their own quantum travel effect like the Xi'an ones seem to have.
ATV didn't even hit the 20 minute mark today. Looks like it's not worth getting up early for on a Friday until 3.0 drops now until they bring back those studio updates.

Since i am waiting to use my LTI token on the reclaimer/BMM, i thought i may upgrade my nox to another ship in the meantime which i can fly around for fun. Thought about the F7C, is it a good ship for the money? I've been wanting a fighter for a bit now.

can we just have an affordable ground vehicle that actually fits in most ships? like a quadbike or something... like the greycat but less stupid
can we just have an affordable ground vehicle that actually fits in most ships? like a quadbike or something... like the greycat but less stupid
Gimme a Super Cub or trails bike that I can fold up and shove in the 300i's bread storage box.
hoverboard [editline]6th August 2017[/editline] and I mean realshit hoverboard, not that wheelie shit
I mean, considering the existing 20th/21st-century pop culture references and the established lore justification that 2947 has a direct historical trail from the present day, if there is any first-person game with a legitimate excuse to implement a trademark/copyright-safe homage to BTTF2's hoverboard, it's SC. We can only hope.
I kind of hope there's no hoverboard or anything like that. It's distracting enough when everyone in these kinds of games is sprinting through cities to get where they're going; it'd be even worse if most players are rocketing around on hoverboards.
How does the F7c handle taking missiles and general combat? A friend has an F7c-s and it tends to get pretty banged up really quickly in combat, especially against missiles. Trying to decide between an f7c and a freelancer as a waiting ship to use my lti token for until either the bmm or reclaimer is available again.

Lancer packs a hard punch in just a few shots, but handles like a big boat (because it is) and to your concern, larger ship = easier to hit, especially by missiles. Learn to use your big ol' chaff/flare reserves also missiles tend to be super powerful and VERY liberally used by pirate NPCs, given they always spawn with a handful at the ready

Also flown an andromeda quite often due to it being last month's ship of the month. And my friend has let me borrow his f7c-s often. It is a tough choice, especially with the missile happy NPCs, this i hope will change as the game progresses though. That is why i mostly were interessted in how durability wise the F7C-S stands up to the F7C, since i see they have the same size shield, but i assume the F7C should have a stronger shield overall + it should be a bit more durable as well? I do want a fighter, although i am not sure if i shouldn't just get a freelancer instead since i know how much of a punch it can pack. Live event from gamescom starting in 13 hours:
During the Friday presentation, a concept sale will be revealed. It's almost certainly the Origin 600, and it comes in two variants. CIG has been running Twitter marketing by inviting contributions of in-lore marketing. Brutal roasting of the Connie. The 600's also a multicrew ship, so it may be roughly Connie-sized. This teaser was tucked away in the Banu Defender's brochure: [t]https://i.imgur.com/PFrWNs1.jpg[/t] Notice the very subtle gun hiding in there. Meanwhile, over at Gamescom, we have confirmation that 3.0 is being demoed on the floor and the public can try it, it's not just for watching the streamers carefully navigate tightly-scripted demo paths to keep everything from exploding. Damn, 2:18AM my time. I keep forgetting this game exists, tbh. I can't even be that upset at the delays anymore: a year trying to develop just a simple (miniscule, really) application alone has made me appreciate just how fucking hard it is to get something into a feature-complete, bug-free, and performant state. The problem with projects of this scope is that you burn tons of time just building the basic infrastructure code for what you want to acheive, but reading through the monthly reports it looks like they might actually be out of that awful grind and into (some sort of) the home stretch [editline]22nd August 2017[/editline] will be interested to see what they demo this year, though. given what happened last year.

Geeky lore notes: Radegast is a brand of whiskey brewed on Mars, named after a famous bar from there. The boxes in the current PU with bottles of alcohol that give you 525 aUEC each when you grab them are boxes of Radegast bottles. The Locker From Another Universe hangar flair contains a bottle of Radegast '74 Single Malt.
Wait, you can find boxes with bottles in them that give you money in the PU right now? Where?
[t]https://i.imgur.com/dRlYlcR.jpg[/t] This room in Kareah, currently. They respawn every 15 minutes and one spawn is collectively worth 2100 aUEC.

Now there are a bunch more floating in a few of the the yela ring system sites, though.
