Should put an application in the community pool for the server/ftp/TS.
Please don't tell me it'll be stuck in your group and never see the light of day.
It's public right now.
It's going to get a name change soon though, because it's getting much bigger than originally intended.

Server owner here (fparma.com & comfy.li).
Thanks for the suggestion. I think other communities on facepunch are more in need of a community pool than we are right now.
Our financial situation is very stable and the server costs are covered for the next couple of years.
If someone has my improvised demolitions work, I'd be really grateful if they could post it <3.

Thanks, everyone, for playing hard in the op today. Regime Change was a big pile of experiments in improving my mission-making skills, and all in all I feel it went well. Some triggers misfired but things were mostly as I'd planned. Respawns didn't respawn people who were dead a few times, and I still don't understand why that one respawn wave drowned people but it was totally not intended. Shame about the IR chemlights not being actual bitmap sprites anymore, you used to be able to see those things for miles.
For me, the highlight of the mission was Ratcliffe's pilot's heart inspiring Charlie's Ural to attempt a catapult launch. :v:
Now to begin work on Hermes' Tears for after Nam Month is over.
To everyone related to FPArma and interested in playing with us, I am pleased to announce the start of the Vietnam War themed campaign month event, JUNGLE HIGHWAY, based on the fictional American struggle to relieve the Khe Sanh evacuation effort, "Operatio Pegasus", with the hastily formed combat group Task Force Speartip, whose goal is to dislodge the NVA reinforcements with what little they have.
The first major Sunday event will take place on the 8th of October and the five-parter will continue until the 5th of November. Most operations will probably be backed by connecting Saturday missions, and all operations will have a continuity and a following theme. Do not fret, however. Non-Vietnam themed ops can be conducted at any time outside of Sundays at 18:00 UTC.
Guidelines, intel, and various aid may be provided in and out of the campaign on a need-to-know basis.
Expect an event announcement and more content updates shortly.

word of warning for the whole group.
Daylight savings in the UK ends on the last sunday of October.
Daylight savings in the US ends on the first sunday of November.
To clarify, Both of these times are at 2:00 in the morning (on the Saturday Night)

As always, go with the time written on the site.

There's also the "In X hours" Timer IIRC.
Not to mention that it's also in UTC, which is never affected by time change
To be clear, I wasn't complaining about me, I never had problems making the OP on time (as far as i can remember anyways). I'm more worried for others who don't track the thread or are otherwise out of the loop.

The first dossier batch for the Campaign has been released. You can collect the public version of the three-page file about the current situation of your campaign unit, TF Speartip, in the Prei Khmaoch Luong sector and the over-arching plan outline, dubbed "Operation Pelican", enclosed in this post.
Further information and updates will be relayed accordingly.

Additionally, if players which can make every or most of all Sunday missions and attached operations over the course of the campaign are willing to take leadership of the event, a Permanent Command Group will be formed. Additional assets and support will be available if this does come into play. Contact me in Discord, Steam, or FP PM if you can confirm that you can dedicate the time and effort.
I'm sorry for swearing at you necro, i had forgotten which keybind i was using for PTT and so unless i said anything over the radio i'm fairly certain i didn't say anything at all. no wonder it felt like i was mute the whole mission.
Holy shit you can see me fall after getting out of the boat. Just like Morrowind.
The first campaign mission is up! Looks like Task Force Speartip will be going on a Cambodian Holiday.
The Tet Offensive became a real piece of work for the American and other Coalition Troops' lives. With the massive onslaught of Viet Cong and North Vietnam troops all around South Vietnam, the security fighting forces from every Corps Tactical Zone found themselves nothing short of completely overwhelmed by the communists. Your unit as well took a part in some of the bloodiest fighting: but any man in the Armed Forces will tell you, nothing's been on par with Khe Sanh's siege.
And your next mission is caused directly by it.

The FP Modpack will be updated shortly. Stay tuned.
I've just bought Arma 3, with only about 4 hours experience.
Is there anything I should try first before joining this group?
Arma scares/confuses the shit out of me. I'm used to playing Insurgency.

If you go to the website ( https://fparma.herokuapp.com ) and download the necessary things try and get familiar with whatever seems new. If you feel like there's something you need to know about, try going to the discord group and ask someone to help you out in the Multiplayer server. It's easy to learn once you have someone in-game to guide you through.
