ARMA Series (I, II, III) - v. Are there mines in this thread?

I suppose you could do it that way, but i've never seen anyone do that. Either they get shot and you can crawl to them, or they get shot and then the fight ends and you tend to them.
Last op there was actually some really good use of carrying/dragging within and around Bravo, when we got fucked up by an enemy vehicle another squad went ahead and got the survivors to safety. I think patching someone underfire only really happens if there's no other option, but I can't speak for everyone
Tourniquet major bleeding on extremities and then dragging to cover is usually the main step for care under fire... right after SHOOT THE ENEMY. Ya know, because what's the point of trying to drag the casualty into cover if in the process you also become a casualty. This is also why you treat yourself first if you are also wounded. And partially why I hate the 'epi first bandage later' strategy of basic because 1: it's a bad habit, and 2: if they're unconscious due to blood loss, you've effectively FUCKED them if someone else comes along and does the exact same thing you did and they die because they OD'd on epi.
Honestly, I never had a good experience with epi, everytime I played as medic I had to give blood to people before they woke up. Maybe I just didn't understand the system, but if someone's downed, it's safe to say they've lost a lot of blood, otherwise they would've woken up while I bandaged them. Giving epi just seens like a ticket to "WHO THE FUCK GAVE HIM ANOTHER EPI"
Literally the OP last sunday, I dragged a guy to cover and healed all of his wounds, and iterated MULTIPLE TIMES that he needs blood because he is unconscious from blood loss. Some fucking idiot from Bravo comes over and gives him an Epi, and guess what happens? Woke up, and then IMMEDIATELY went unconscious again. He had like 5 people yelling at him for being a dumbass.
Alright so my holidays are finally here and I've been wanting to finally dust off ARMA 3 and maybe hop into one of you lots' clusterfucks.
You guys usually do sessions on sundays right? If so, is it too late for me to pop in this week? I've also completely forgot how to play ARMA 3 for jack shit, let alone modded like how it seems to be for you guys. Would I be ok just jumping in or should I go and just familiarize myself first?
You can join our discord if you have questions or need help. For now you can also read up on the modpack and such from this site Installing our modpack | FPARMA.
The modpack is rather large, so you should start downloading now if you want to play in the mission tomorrow on 19 UTC.
Will do, thanks!
It isnt a big deal really as overdoses arent s thing in basic medical. Giving blood is usually the exception and not the rule.
With that av youre practically already on your way to the fparma admin team.
oh god it's you
Now here to shitpost in FPARMA
requesting a ban on this dude ^^^^
except it IS a big deal because you will still overdose on Epinephrine on basic medical.
I FINALLY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO ON A SUNDAY! I AM DTF RN GUIIZZZ!
IMO, somewhat forgiving damage resistance rates and instant death enabled strikes the balance between too easy and annoyingly punishing, and makes people both fear being killed and also be in need of medics
instant death disabled is never as intense because even a tank shell to the face won't kill you
I might grumble a bit at times when I get one-shot, but I think overall, the experience is better when we have prevent insta-death disabled, as long as we have decent enough health multipliers.
I'm attempting the campaigns bit by bit. The Steel Pegasus campaign first mission is terrifying. Just imagining how to get past enemy forces on high alert and searching the beach for your lonely sorry ass gives me chills. Quiet roaming interrupted by a truck full of troops coming over the hill, APCs scanning the horizon, dust kicked up from gunshots and not knowing where the fire is coming from.
Aside from memes, glitches, and other retarded moments you witness from gameplay videos, and messing around in the editor, the devs managed to actually make engaging situations.
As long as the game is intense, and I'm not bored, I don't mind dying. That intensity is what makes a good mission too. I sometimes find it hard to remember the last time we had a real good firefight with the AI that wasn't just kinda "meh." Those fights suck because then if you die even if there isn't respawn it just kind of feels meaningless.
I'm fine with prevent insta being disabled as long as there's something to compensate for it. Increased damage resistance (I think 3 has been used a lot) and a couple of respawn waves are a reasonable compensation.

I wish my game hadn't exploded in crashes, I wanted to blow shit up with the Heavy AT
Great gameplay last night with someone blowing up a truck just as when I spawned, killing me and probably another squad

Also CSLeader was upset and wouldn't come out of the van. Proceeded to fold his arms and look down.

Hak you fucking fraud!! Don't put words in my mouth!! I said "it's not gonna kill us", not "it's not active"! I acknowledged that it's active. Was I right or what?
Rate coin if I was right, rate diamond if you disagree.
