I still have that scrotum itch to OP after last night's fuckery

I'm proud of Charlie for suffering very few casualties and not complaining excessively about being transport-deprived and not getting to have any of the fun. We persevered at our objectives and you guys did a good job of staying on task and following orders, all in all.
We're also ready to kick the other squads' asses in PT (except maybe Alpha), because we're all fucking ripped in the legs from all that hiking.
And about that, I want to talk about the transport logistics of that op.

As originally planned Charlie would've been called upon to hike 8km to accomplish our tasked objectives in Neochori and then the AAC airfield. If all squads were on foot and the mission design was just "suck it up and start hiking", this would be totally fine. I've played missions like that before and I don't mind a comfy hike into an AO because it offers a lot of tactical options for recon and squad movement.
But when some squads are highly-mobile and receiving air insertion while the rest are being made to go on a grand hiking adventure, you start to have morale issues because all the gunfire and explosions are off in the distance, and it always sounds like there's so much fun happening over there where the squads who got vehicle insertion are. If you are only going to ferry some infantry squads around by air and the rest are on foot and/or encouraged to steal whatever vehicles they can find, there should be a good reason. If there was a good reason for that today, I didn't hear about it, and as it is Charlie ended up getting helo rides because hiking halfway across Altis really is time-consuming and boring when you're on a mission with time constraints.
It's one thing to have an advance recon or strike force having vehicles or a deep insertion while the main force has to make do with less sophisticated or rapid insertion; as far as I'm concerned Zulu was operating entirely within their role so I've got no complaint there. But when the main force is divided into two different tiers without good reason, there's something wrong with the mission design and there's something wrong with tactical planning at the command level. It creates two very different sets of experiences, depending on which squad you happen to be in.
If you're making a mission, you should make sure that there are adequate transport assets, and ideally all of the pre-placed assets should be able to carry a whole squad (Lima 2's backup helo had a passenger capacity of only 6, so transporting just one squad is two trips). If you're in command of a mission, it's probably a good idea, if the scenario allows it, to have the transport assets insert as many squads as possible as an alternative to making them hike into the AO by themselves. If the scenario doesn't allow that luxury, a secondary priority should be to secure alternate means of transport to resolve the transportation deficit ASAP, and ideally Zeus would overhear and provide appropriate transport to be found in an organic manner.
I want to be clear that I'm not calling out Pilotguy or RidingKeys for how this op was built and executed; what's done is done and I'm not here to make things personal. Instead I want this to be a learning experience and a reminder on how making a plan balanced across squads is important. What happened in the op wasn't terrible (I mean we accomplished all of our objectives with a minimum of respawns/casualties) but it so easily could've been avoided, and I feel that efficiency and coherence suffered greatly as a result. It's pretty easy to get right, and the effects are large when it's done wrong.
smelly ariel excuses excuses
It was an alright mission, but that is 100% from air's perspective of destroying everything
hey everybody this is dslyexci and i'm gonna show you how to create fake news

That's a pretty thicc image you have right there
if I only could figure out how shit works on newpunch
BBCode tags don't work anymore as it's been gotten rid of, so I don't think we can make thumbed images
However, it's all in development so maybe in six months, for now we'll just be looking at hueg images
Is there an addon with customizable lights. I'm making a video and I'm tired of lighting scenes with chemlights and fires.
You can create clientside lights with createVehicleLocal and the special vehicle class #lightpoint.
Scripting also allows you full control over colour, brightness, attenuation strength and range, inner and outer falloff, etc.

So, when this is a thing, can we try it?
sacrifice your first born to cuel and rate diamond to each member of the mod team and they might consider it
I didn't know it was possibly to fully barricade the road without the ambulance.

Despite the date, this is not a meme mission. A PMC gets sent in to liberate Sahrani from a tyrannical dictator and is supplied with ridiculous amounts of heavy explosives. What could go wrong?
BTW if you like comfy logistics and want to be kept busy this op is for you.
yaaaaaay logistics!
Are we going to see the logistics truck run over croguy again?
Ha, I'm going on a trip that sunday, you'll have to go out of your way to run me over this time.
Mission this Wednesday regular OP time

After the fuckup in the last operation in Takistan no one wanted to hire the PMC company anymore.
Thus, the company went bankrupt.
Luckily the company was bought up by an American firm before you had to file bankruptcy and your jobs are secure once more.
However; the liquidation of assets has already begun and nearly all weaponized and armored vehicles are already sold. Some of them are still in the hangars waiting for the buyer to pick them up. The bad side of being bought out by an American company is having to deal with your locations in other countries, especially Russia. Since you wanted to evade taxes in America, you thought setting up your HQ in Russia is a good idea.
Turns out it is an even worse idea to evade taxes in Russia. By now you just paid some official some money and the problem went away. Since you are an American firm now and the tension between Russia and America is about to explode, the Russians really want to look into your tax returns and are nearly ready for a raid on your old HQ by force.
Since this was your fuck up; your new owner sends you to the Russian HQ to get the remaining tax papers to evade severe financial punishment.
Your new company owner leaves you to deal with that situation.

I'm afraid I can't make the op, and for the record i don't think i was present for the last one either, someone will have to take my civ slot
I know I'm like 4 pages late. The big reason we don't replay missions is because of Eden. Almost anyone can make a mission now, we have times where we have too many mission makers. Hell we have missions 2-3 weeks in advance.
That's a good thing in my books. Though I would like to see an increase in quality over an increase in quantity. I like missions like @Pilotguy 's where there is effort in the story, art, design stuff like that. Not just a little paragraph of the most generic military scenario pulled straight from a Tom Clancy book. I want a mission to be a proper experience, as opposed to something someone threw together in 5 hours the night before. GIMME MISSION TRAILERS.
Regarding TvTs, If you want them back, like... just redo the loadouts? It's not awfully hard to remake most of them.
Okay, we'll pull them from a Terry Clancy book instead, like Tom Clancy, but with more memes and perversions of the laws of physics.
