clunk! clunk! clunk! clunk! Wonder how long until those things break? Not long, I expect.
The metal noises upgrade realism, from the way that character moves it's obvious it's not a humam
CH pedals may not look like much but a lot of people have been using those for 10+ years without any problems Although I'm not too keen on the space between the pedals, or rather lack of it

I thought the chaotic nature and loss of control was enjoyable. No where was safe and it felt like it was a losing battle.(Which it was). Having to run and escape making it barely to the Osprey was fun. It was enjoyable to watch all of my teammates slowly succumb to PTSD and lose their lives. Should I have died? Why did I live? Am I worth it? These things keep me up at night.
I dunno, seeing all those T-90s just chilling in the middle of the field was really immersion breaking. I wish we'd tried to save bravo out in that warehouse, even with just AT-4s and smoke. Dying like that would've been way more fun than sitting there helplessly.
https://clips.twitch.tv/SpinelessHonestEyeballShazBotstix I didn't even see the LB and didn't know we lost a helo there until I watched Ratcliff's footage after the op. I saw a brilliant white bloom explosion in my NV and was satisfied with a job well done. rip Hunter and Ratcliff
They said it was suicide. We proved them wrong!
I did call in a fire mission of just smoke on bravo's position, but by the time it ended up getting to Golf and by the time the rounds splashed, it was pretty much too late. Bertie will forever live on in our memories forever.
Good for you. The only thing Delta experienced was loss of control. Nothing even happened.
I'm glad that the northern frontline had an enjoyable retreat if you could call it that. But wow did the invincible doom tanks bugging out and the GMs not noticing wind up ruining the mission. Here's a little thing I learned from experience as a zeus: if the game is acting the way you don't want it to or the way it shouldn't, don't act absent minded or complacent and compensate with your own tools. Don't let it play out and turn into a slog. Because people will take you for being a bad mission maker with unfair killer tendencies.
Since the mod pack is going to be rebuilt to solve our accretion problem the conversation in the FP Arma discord shifted towards RHS and CUP. Mod team has put up a strawpoll https://www.strawpoll.me/15466357 Personally, I'd prefer to keep CUP, but I can deal with it if the decision swings to RHS and Project OPFOR.
I'd rather see CUP gone, we'd get enough variety with NIarms RHS and Project OPFOR, CUPS quality is just inexcusably bad at this point.
I'm not in FPArma but just so you're aware, you will get unexpected behaviour if you ever run RHS stuff alongside vanilla assets. RHS decided to config armour for things in a different way (basically a difference in what they believe armour values should abstract) which means it overperforms against vanilla stuff (or stuff that inherits the vanilla philosophy) and vanilla stuff massively underperforms against it. Not an issue if you just use RHS stuff though.
This is why we dropped it in 2015, I'm hoping that Tanks DLC (which releases in two days!) will cause RHS to standardise their armour model
We can only hope.
This opinion may be unpopular, but why don't we just do Vanilla + ACE, ACRE, NIArms and slowly add in things overtime that we can vet isn't massively broken/overpowered?
That's pretty much the plan. Core package will be CBA, ACRE, ACE, NIA, and a few other mods. Over time we will reconstruct the Main package which will feature way more content than Core. That way we can probably play ops over the course of this and next weekend without too many problems.
Honestly my controversial opinion is that CUP terrains should just be retired. Most of them are so old and have such poor quality that no one uses them. You can literally fill the void by getting that Chernarus redux terrain or whatever it's called. Sahrani is cool and all but compared to more modern maps it's busted and really only good for nostalgia. This also applies to some of the custom maps we have like Celle or Napf imo.
Good luck getting new maps into the Modpack without cup terrains.
But I thought we were getting rid of CUP for core?
I think they're calling CUP Terrains a different beast to CUP Units
Well I think A2 maps are also dated. They lack lots of detail that newer a3 maps have. Like compare Beketov to Chernarus.
A2 stuff, while obviously not to the same level as A3 content, is at least passable. Especially when you compare to the vile A1 and CWA maps.
Sure, but I still hate those Chernarus buildings that you can't even go into at all. Lots of maps only require CUP Terrains Core instead of needing all the maps.
