Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version

not so much when its 10$ a month for americlaps
real suffering for someone like me
I never canceled membership so I still pay $7.99
With decent levels it's so easy to make enough for a bond it's pretty pointless to pay.

My bank stopped my transactions once so i lost the luxury of only paying £3.50 ;;
half of runescape's playerbase is on OSRS and they update it constantly. it's not stagnant at all

OSRS counter:

and the first city of the new continent is releasing in 3 weeks
I find the concept of updating OSRunescape to be dumb.
The entire point of it as far as I know was to be the game as it was in 07'. Adding in a bunch of new shit makes it less like 07.
it's less about it being like it was in 07 and more about being like it was before evolution of combat fucked it all up. ask anybody who's played since release and they'll probably tell you that
Ohh I thought that main counter was just RS3. Okay cool I guess I'll try and get back into the grind. Gonna be tough starting from nothing again though. Should I go ahead and buy members? I don't remember if that'll help me level faster or not.
Members will let you access a bunch of quests which can help you gain a lot of xp/levels early on, and areas that may help you level up quicker in certain skills.
It costs $9.49 per month (less if you buy multiple months) and gives membership for both versions, so the price might not feel worth it unless you know you're going to play a whole lot.
Also you can also buy "membership bonds" with in-game gold, but it costs between 2-3mil (in oldschool RS) for 14 days of membership. So if you decide to do that, it's probably better to level up a bunch of skills to make money with fast to buy bonds once every two weeks.

I've played for about 12 years and I thought evolution of combat was cool, that might be why I don't get 07' scape all that much.
I just feel that Runescape got slightly slow post-Wildy and quests were debatably stagnating. at least sometime after EoC, quests were retooled into something of a larger, more coherent plotline but this meant that older questlines had to suddenly have endings that just wasn't suited for today's players, think the most laughable rewards of this calibre would be Birthright of the Dwarves just because of Dragon Throwing Axes, Battlestaves whereas previous quests unlocked stuff such as better tiered graves and the Lava Flow Mines. (also Dwarven Trader thieving, being one of the best thieving spots before Prifddinas)
Runelabs also boils down to either content that promises the potential for high level content (Elven Fishing, Living Wyverns, Mammoths, Ripper Demons) or has some large XP treadmill/follows on still-popular content like Crystal Urchin Fishing (Prifddinas), though some good things came from it like the addition of stuff like slayer tools to the toolbelt (farming timers anyone??), Seren Prayers/Spells (was rolled into The Light Within) and smaller ninja stuff like the Aquarium. bottle quests could at least allieviate it with more isolated areas and Invention is supposedly toting discoveries from Quest-based areas to fill in any gaps that older content couldn't compare to older content.
Kind of a mixed bag i guess. nice to see that they're trying to up the endgame to an extent. never tried Raids yet though.
I kinda preferred the game before the grand exchange, but I never really did any trading so I can understand why a lot of people enjoy it
I liked working for things and feeling good when I got them, but I also enjoy playing with friends and helping them out (like, I'd focus on smithing stuff my mining friend gave me, that sorta deal) so I can't really get into ironman. not to mention I'd have to make a new account for that and I just can't drop that money without a job.
Ironman is a lot of fun.
You get the feel that you earned what you have more.
On my main with like 200 mil worth in items and gold I can just buy anything I need.
I soon have one skill on my hcim higher then my main, construction.
Clan chat still open in OSRS? If so, what is it?

I don't know, what they've done so far seems mostly to be done in the style of a source port. You can just ignore it or disable it (And yes, that even includes resizeable).
I'm not a pro merchant by any means but generally stuff that people will make and use lots of (runes, arrows, etc.) are decent. Especially since you can just buy more or less of them as your cash on hand fluctuates. Impatient people grinding fletching might dump a few thousand arrows onto the GE for a bit below market so their shit sells fast. Then impatient people might buy for a bit above market so their buy request completes quickly.

NXT stream right now
Not gonna lie, those mods man. Lefty looks like he owns a dozen fedoras, the middle probably plays DnD in a cellar and I bet the one on the right has BRO tattooed onto his shoulder.
For merching, I'm not sure what the best item to start with would be, but once you have a couple of mil, start merching 100k+ weapons and armor.
The more items you can buy at the time, the more money you can make from each item.
Buying all items that anyone in the game is selling (once you can afford that) will bring the price up.
Simple supply and demand.
I used to have 400+ mil, spent on buying thousands of dragon armor and weapons and then selling them for maybe 5% higher price if I'm lucky.

mod wreath is away get yer bots out lads
If any RS3 players have 1900 total and are looking for a clan check out Effortless Souls, Ive been a part of it for a long time and its a great, friendly clan.
Any thoughts on the dragon chainbody? Is it worth the 2.1 mil?
I'm using a rune platebody but I've been saving up from treasure trails (surprisingly the easiest and fastest cash I've ever made) so I have 1.6 mil.
I'm not a fan of degradable armor at all.
You say that but barrows is so cheap to repair and lasts way longer than you think. And is cheaper to purchase.
