old school down?

I got bored of old school as soon as everyone else got bored of old school, which was pretty quickly

I wish there was a version to play as it was just before the combat update. I personally am not a huge fan of how it works now, it's a good idea, but it's not really working as well as it should. What do you all think about it?

the old system was less involved but at least it was unique. EoC is tolerable but pretty boring

They're both pretty boring if you get down to it.

EoC combat is so much easier. All you gotta do is spam the shit out of your abilities and you can kill pretty much anything

does anyone still play oldschool? i havent played since a month or so after it came out

I'm doing Mourning's Ends part 2 right now. [img]http://i.imgur.com/SoG3k.gif[/img] The first time I had to cross the bars over the pit took me 2 tries. I was really happy because I heard people were getting really annoyed by the quest. Then when I had to cross it again later, after getting a fractured crystal, I gave up after failing some 20 times, even with not being in combat, having 100 % energy and with a summer pie. Made a new account just for 2007 runescape, getting membership for it tomorrow or the day after. What's the current state of affairs in Old School RS? What about PKing, I heard OSRS is nothing else than PKing, hell even the newest poll is to make OSRS PK-only.

everyone on facepunch who was playing 07scape is no longer playing it as far as I know this thread's for Runescape 2.5 so you're gonna have to see what it's like for yourself

Damn, I wonder why Jagex took the generic-MMO step, oh well, might aswell since I got membership and all.

OSRS is dead because everyone is realizing that new content > nostalgia seriously OSRS player stats dropped like a stone the second the live game got a new dungeon

I just started playing the new RS after playing the OldScape for nostalgia purposes. Ive got a couple questions cause i havent got a clue just how fresh all the content is. First of all is there any way of converting my OldScape GP to new RS money? How the fuck does my HP say like 400 then on the skill tab it says 10 How the dicks can i hit like 150 How do combat levels work How do titles work? Coloured names. Im lost

I'm sure it'll be less than the live game, but will still have a community for a while. Also, I doubt stats dropped because of a new dungeon, just time.

If the graph continued to today it would go much lower.

Damn, I feel bad I didn't keep playing old school. I was so excited when I first got it and it was so much fun playing it while talking on the clan chat where everyone would help you and there'd be like 10+ people in the chat at a time. Then less and less people started getting on the chat, and after that my membership ran out I just didn't bother to repay it.
