1.3 xp per pt of damage done for controlled styles
Just finished grinding 260 marks of grace. That fucking broom riding animation in canafis. Now I need to run like 3k nats to get enough money for another bond :(
it's a pole-vaulting animation. but it's so shitty I'm not surprised you mistook it for broom-riding
I know it's supposed to be a pole vault, but you literally jump off of nothing then go sailing up 3 stories while holding it broomstick like. I kept saying "I'm off to Hogwarts" the first couple of times.
I feel like an idiot. I made a few of the new tool perks, some pretty good ones. So I shoved 'em in the bank and disassembled the bad ones. Only, I didn't notice I'd put them in the wrong tab, and even forgot that I put them in the bank at all - I thought I'd disassembled them.
So, with this complete buffoonery done, I decided I'd have to buy more stuff to get the components I needed to make replacements, eventually managing to do so before happening upon the other gizmos. Man was this a waste of time and money for no discernible reason.
Take a note kids, be more careful.

occasionally giggling at the awful animations is the only thing that kept me sane on the agility grind. i did 18 hours of it one weekend, breaks to eat and chat to people etc but it was hell on earth
trying to think of uses for these new perks. obviously there's stuff like Honed for the success odds.
• Butterfingers: sporadically drop items gathered. maybe Barb/Shilo?
• Polishing: increases tier of items sporadically. it doesn't appear to work at Urchins.
• Cheapskate...reduces tier of items. does this at least work at urchins?
• Furnace, destroys items for 2x XP
• Imp Souled banks items but it costs 30pp per item and only procs randomly.
• Refined: sporadically doesn't reduce resources on sites. useless for concentraited rocks, maybe even fishing?
• Wise: all-round useful perk if you like XP. caps at 50k xp from that Wise per day.
• Charitable: sporadically spawns an item for other people to pick up whilst skilling.
Never go for Confused, it teleports you away from a resource sporadically whenever you get one. i did see Hoarding appear on a tool gizmo interface. i can't imagine any situation where you would go somewhere dangerous outside of wilderness to protect 2 items w/pray than 1 though. would've been better if Imp Souled lets you use Porters from the inventory, or just sporadically save a charge for 30pp.
The only thing keeping me sane while grinding agility is the fact that it helps me kill time during uneventful days at work.
Which reminds me:

Rebalanced a number of low-Level Agility courses to reduce failure rates and improve XP rates:
- Reduced the failure rates at the Ape Atoll Agility Course to make it a more viable course for lower levels.
- Agility Pyramid failure rates have been reduced for all obstacles. The bonus from completing the Medium Desert Tasks has also been increased to compensate.
- Increased the XP for completing a lap of the Agility Pyramid from 300 to 500.
- Greatly reduced the failure rates on the Penguin Agility course.
- Increased each obstacle's XP on the Penguin Agility course to represent the amount of time required to complete.
- Increased each obstacle's XP on the Barbarian Outpost Agility Course to better represent the level requirements.
- Completing a round of Werewolf Skullball in under 3 minutes now awards 900 XP, up from 750.
Completing a round of Werewolf Skullball in over 3 minutes now always awards 750 XP, instead of a sliding scale of reduced XP.
Getting slowly closer to 99 smithing, but I'm running out of funds.. fuck.
Potential Jagex Acquisition
Hi folks,
As you may have seen through online news articles, Jagex is getting noticed. The company is getting attention from the east and the biggest market in the world, China, is knocking on our door. Jagex’s shareholders have received offers of interest and have responded positively to an approach from a Chinese company.
Jagex is in early stage discussions with the firm in question, but we must stress that they may – or may not – materialise into anything. However, should they come to fruition, it would potentially allow us access to the Asian marketplace to a high level.
What does this mean for the plans we have for our games and our fantastic community? Put simply, our plans, including the launch of NXT, Zeah, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, God Wars Dungeon 2, and RuneScape: Idle Adventures, remain on track. It is business as usual across Gielinor!
Thanks,
Update: Jagex has sent us a statement indicating that reports that the acquisition has been completed are incorrect. "Jagex has entered into a non-exclusive, non-binding arrangement for a potential acquisition," it said. "The negotiations surrounding the acquisition are ongoing and it remains very much business as usual for the Company."
