I don't like how they handled the Myreque pre-event. it's like they torn the quest content in 2 and gave it a thin justification to eventually pull a TH promo. (vampyre hunter suit, necklace. and feral vampyre fangs as a currency) the Plushie hunt added no lore signifigance and had no justification to exist...it's just a vampyre looking for plushies for kids...that's about it. they also time-locked the Myreque memorial event by forcing only 1 plinth being added a day, provided you talked to the guy before hand.
Falador invasion felt more active, sure it was a glorified graphics update, but it was a small world event with shiny things to collect, and even if it was an XP grindathon, it was kind of interesting to at least participate. even the TH promo attached wasn't that impeding since you could naturally get 100% personal participation alone for the Sword of Raddalin, at best that Sword was just an attempt at a mass loyalty point sink.
But ya, the whole split-in-half thing has some basis. the Blood Essences themselves are coded into the game, but are unobtainable. kind of alludes to the fact that they either came up with the finished product's graphics first, or the Ghouls/blood itself was supposed to be obtained during the quest.

If you're a member, get the thieving level to pickpocket ham guards and go down into their hideout. You can pickpocket easy clue scrolls from them which lead you on treasure trails to get rare items, if you're lucky you can get pages of the god books which are worth ~50k to 1000k

it feels a lot better when you start fresh. which sucks because you lose the shit from your other account, obviously. after taking a long haitus I couldn't get back into the game until I made a fresh account following this one reddit post talking about going from a level 3 to quest/comp cape, and ive actually done more quests on it than my level 110 account and have had a ton more fun doing it :v:
These daily challenges are very varied on F2P... One week is woodcutting urns all the time, other week is cutting yews. This week seems to be adamantite daggers. And I can't sell reward stuff because I get runite dragon bones and shit. :suicide:

My 10 year old self really appreciates me doing this. I'll probably give OSRS a proper go now in my spare time, and just give it a casual play like I used to as a kid.
Are there any quests which are particularly interesting? Even on my RS3 account, I have only done the easy quests and just left all the others, so it'll be a new experience for me.
It will be difficult to look at scenery when the camera is pointing down at me so I can see where I'm clicking.

in a Q&A months ago the old school team were asked about a duo ironman concept, you start an account and it's tied to one of your friends and only the two of you can trade together. i'd love to do something like that with one of my mates but haven't heard anything about it since
