Is it me or it's common for people to get hacked in RS? An ironman player that got a 3rd age long got hacked in less than 24 hours. That's kind of concerning. :wavey:

Only if you're an idiot going on Reddit, bragging about it posting your username etc. without having an authenticator with 2 step verification e-mail. Like that guy who bragged about making almost a bil from RCing in a few months, posted his bank on Reddit with his username visible and got hacked.

I've just tried to log in for the first time in years and it says my account was permanently banned for Macros in august 2014, but i know I've played within the past 2-3 years so i have absolutely no idea why it would say that. Really annoying as i definitely haven't used any Macros and checking my emails i can't find anything at all from them, and my password and email are the same as they were before. Even worse there's no evidence and it just says they can't tell me and there is no way to appeal a ban.

I was fairly sure i'd played at some point last year which would be odd if true. Actually thinking about it, i remember logging in and thinking some things were a bit strange; items i don't remember getting but as it had been years since i played i thought I'd just forgot. Perhaps my account had been stolen and used by someone else. My account and email was the same so i thought it was fine but it seems i might have been wrong.

Just had the dumbest shit ever happen... I was at giant rock crabs in the Waterbirth dungeon and suddenly my client stops responding to all input while the giant crabs kept attacking like nothing was wrong. Just had to sit there and get killed and couldn't log out, pray, move, or eat. Like goddamn what a waste of time and runes

those are the kinds of emergencies where you just gotta take a hammer to the fuse box
