Can anyone explain to me the story of the gods? and whats happening right now in the Battle of Lumbridge, im a low level and havent completed the quests for the gods so i dont know whats happening. Well, since my account is still active for some odd reason, might as well take a look at this "Runescape 3" business and see what's what. World battle is interesting enough - that is for the two and a half minutes I can actually do anything in it before I get disconnected constantly.

New GUI feels odd, but I guess that's just because I'm not used to it. Anyways, I only have 1 more day of subscription so I think I'm going to take a long break from RS. Pre-First Age [sp]Guthix is a Naragi, he has a daughter called Aagi, basically for some reason the elders of Askroth (presumably a capitol city of sorts) angered Saradomin, because Saradomin had the Elder Crown, other gods with artifacts followed him into the realm by Skargaroth (who had the elder sword) and Tuska (who constantly chased Skargaroth, but had no artifact of her own), long end short, Saradomin left the realm after doing whatever it is he was planning, Skargaroth stepped on Aagi whilst she was hiding and Guthix basically picked up his sword during Skargaroth's fight with a blind Tuska and stabbed him, obtaining his powers. Even now, Tuska is running through realms blindly, she's basically a wild Boar.[/sp] 1st age [sp] Guthix wandered several realms, Zanaris is apparently Gielinor's Moon, he stopped by Seren's realm and decided to go with her to Gielinor to have a realm without gods, there he found the Elder Staff, Stone of Jas and some sort of "Horn" (Jagex themselves has been quiet about which is what though, it may or may not be the Frostenhorn), eventually Guthix went to sleep, but the races he bought in never forgot who he was.[/sp] 2nd Age [sp]Gods such as Armadyl, Bandos, Zaros and Saradomin got to the realm, little fights broke out, but none of them ever raised a hand against Zaros due to his superior power compared to regular gods (nearly equal to Guthix with the stone), Zaros mysteriously appeared somewhere and ended up recruiting the Mahjarrat from Icthlarin, somehow starting the desert wars which Amascut became crazy and was called The Devourer. Zamorak and some other Zarosians were planning to overturn Zaros for power for themselves, eventually Zamorak obtained the Staff of Armadyl and impaled Zaros, seemingly killing him, the other gods banished Zamorak because he killed one of their own bretheren, in the resulting power vacuum the God Wars started[/sp] 3rd Age [sp]In in indeterminate time; The Dragonkin was figuring out how to bypass their subservience to protecting the stone of Jas, Kerapac experimented on still-living dragonkin remains, eventually devising a way of magically placing his essence inside water lizard eggs to create the Queen Black Dragon, eventually another Dragonkin plagiarized his work and created the King Black Dragon and mated them together, which then presumably mated and resulted in generations of incestuous Dragon offspring (unless proved otherwise that there were more prime-dragons?) Eventually, Zamorak came back and became a god with the Stone of Jas, and the remaining Zarosians or side-changers were either killed (the Dragon Riders) or Hid/became imprisoned (Char, Azzanadra, Jhallan?), near the end of the War, a small conflict arose due to the Godsword that the Armadyllians created, though dissent rose between other gods' allies and eventually they just fought over the sword. Near its climax, someone (probably Zamorak) scarred the Anima Mundi which made it cry out to Guthix which woke him up, Guthix then effectively banished every god with major power from the realm, which included Seren....she broke herself into crystal so that she could still be with her Elves and with Guthix, however he thought Seren died, which presumably explains the Tears of Guthix, which then he slepted in his chamber near the Legends Guild.[/sp] 4th Age [sp]Unsure what exactly occurs here, but with what little Saradominist forces left in Morytania, Lord Drakan became an onminous presence over the entire region of the Hallowlands and renamed it to Morytania (Mort Myre) shortly after capturing Queen Efairitay's husband Ascertes, he rules the area with daily Blood Tithes. The Elves eventually started to explore outside of Prifddinas, attempting to forge treaties with Goblins, Humans and Gnomes, which the 2 latter succeeded...then there's something about the Gnome elections after the Goblin invasion where Argento (a silver spirit tree died), Glouphrie covered it up but was outed as a criminal after it was uncovered with an anti-illusion device....the same thing happened again during Tree Gnome Village's gnome election after he tried making the other candidate some sort of human sympathizer. (he eventually stormed off and founded a hidden city called Arprosandra) The Elves retreated back to Prifddinas..only to discover the Iowerth Clan took over the city and is degrading the town to crystal, to summon the "dark lord" (which is a bit redundant since Zammy is already back). Robert the Strong somehow came and killed some Dragonkin before dying at an indeterminate amount of time which he later was reincarnated into Bob the Cat.[/sp] 5th age Seems pretty tame for the moment, the only real major events being Ritual of the Mahjarrat and the [sp]Assassination of Guthix[/sp], all this time however, Zaros was hiding within the Shadow Realm but was unable to interact with people or the world until we re-obtained stolen/hidden relics for Azzanadra during Temple at Senistenn, which exerting his power from the Shadow Realm to do something simple as cracking a statue of Zamorak almost destroyed the Abyss (and the universe), Jagex confirmed that Zaros is at least strong as regular gods in his current incorporeal form, which he may eventually require a host. 6th age Currently the Battle for Lumbridge started, its just Sara and Zammy at the moment, but it'll probably escalate, especially with Divination coming in a month or so. These new interfaces is severely confusing for me, still don't know how to change the colour of chats, and the battlefield keeps failing to connect to a world. -,-

they said they were going to give the gods good philosophy not zammy is evil and sammy is good lol whats the point with siding with any of them if the outcome is going to be the 'evil' guys lose and the 'good' guys win.

I picked Saradomin, just because out of the 2 gods, i probably liked Sara a bit more, sure there's the whole[sp]Destruction of Guthix' realm and species thing[/sp] but Zamorak is just too edgy for me, plus Sara is winning more. Seriously in my eyes: Zamorak fans are basically screamos who holds onto the "badass" god and probably PK's people. Sara fans are usually uptight roleplayers who seems to speak as their character even on forums and Bandos seems to only be there just because his armor used to be the best before the EoC changes made Nex armors too significant in comparison. Armadyl is so underrepresented that even Seren fans outnumber his, if only to clamor for a quest series that for all intents and purposes probably wont be touched at least for another 1-3 years, assuming they don't try to cut out Seren from the god storylines to introduce her retroactively in MEP 3. I might be biased towards Zaros, but he's an ambiguous god, people might join him out of powers he gives or whatever, but he's basically Guthix just with ominous presence, he's less "hippy" and more like "epiphany-crutch" where in game NPCs are seemingly picked for their strengths that could be tapped into, if Zaros brings it up, the Godless wants a world without gods, but Zaros knows mortals can't live without gods....he just wants to be there, but his followers realizes hidden strengths of some kind, the fact that he seems to not care about his followers...as followers seem to imply that he just attempts to equally treat them or whatever, even if he's a nessersary evil at being a puppetmaster, just don't screw with Zaros....orelse he'll fake his own death and inadvertently introduce a new god in the world, purely to kill off the unloyal in a power vacuum. Zaros is basically an awesome Ghost at this point, even if he hasn't made much of a direct impact yet. Oh, and i think Sliske only has fans from the fact that he had[sp]the stones to KILL Guthix[/sp]and not because he's Diet Zaros Lite with Lemon...or the fact that his symbol is a trollface.

I honestly think Armadyl is a lot like Guthix. He doesn't preserve the balance in the same way, but he isn't like Saradomin with his extremes.
