Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version
most of runescapes updates these days are centered around high level players, though there are a bunch of new low and medium level quests, and lots of ways to level faster. So thats really one thing to keep in mind. It's also pretty easy to make a ton of money at 90+ combat since you can kill queen black dragon pretty easily and make a few mil an hour there once you upgrade gear, since money is still king like the old days.
You can do QBD at level 90? How?
You can do QBD at level 90? How?
ranged is the easiest, with armadyl armor
I have recently also got back in this game too, with my almost 10 year old acc after not playing since probably 2008, going to try to get enough money to get that bond and see what's the membership is all about.
What's a good armour to get at 90 combat level for up to around 10mil?
I have level 76 attack, 70 defence, 70 strength.

Bandos. If that's too expensive, Guthan's set (WITH the spear), and if that still costs more than 10M (idk prices dude, apologies) just slap some dragon armour on until you can afford better gear.

Thanks, I just needed someone to point me in the right direction
I did it lads. I beat Plague's End.
Prif is pretty lovely. Although literally everyone there is level 138 for some reason.

Now all you need is something like 90ish agility to get to the waterfall, and fish urchins to buy the rights to sing crystal tool seeds into rods (if you have invention, maybe Honed+Furnace. really Urchin xp:points-Lamp XP ratio is so low if you're buying lamps). get some dust from Harps to upgrade dragon picks/axes, grind the recipes in daemonheim.
Quite a lot of treadmill skilling activities in there. if you already progressed that Guthix memorial church you may as well get that perk that sporadically awards memory shards whilst pickpocketting. 30 of them can be made into Porter VI's which banks 30 items, shards themselves even stack, so there's probably some form of emergent gameplay you could do with them. (basically they're the Sweets of Porters). guess there's also Elf tasks too if you can endure the really edgy ones like getting past wave 20 in Rush of Blood, gold rank to boot.
[sp]think i fished over something around 12-15k giant urchins before i got the Hermit crab pet. then i traded in the surplus for title/other rewards and 2m fishing xp[/sp], and that was before Eastern Lands came out, so maybe you shouldn't break down crystal tools if 245k+ items is pricy. you should definitely siphon the axe/pick though since there's just too much GP/time spent grinding the dust.

Proselyte until you affoard Bandos, use the rest of the money to get Piety.
Barrows armour, outside some specialized situations, is a waste.

Not to be a dick or anything but most of this is jargon to me.
All I did was come back to the game after 2 and a half years, do a few quests, unlock prif and now I'm lost on where to go next :v
I mean I guess I could get agility to 90...? But that'll take fucking forever won't it? I'm 75.

you can train in the wildy agility course using a demonic skull to 77 (or ape atoll), and then after that use the hefin agility course in prif
and since you're 75 you can use the posts http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Serenity_posts once a day for a bunch of free xp.
you can train in the wildy agility course using a demonic skull to 77
Well this was a bad idea. I lost out on 500K because some prick was realm hopping, barraging people with the skulls to make money.
There were 3 of us at the wildy course. All with skulls. We all died to this one dude who just made 1.5M from us.
I'll just go to ape atoll. It's more fun than the wilderness and I only need 1 level anyway. I got halfway to 77 before dying so eh.
I've decided I'm going to train agility as much as I can bare to. Hopefully this means all the way to 99.
It's tedious as fuck and getting it out of the way now would be nice. It would be my second 99 if I get there.
Any tips are appreciated though I think I can get most of what I need from a google search.

Once you hit 77, go to the Hefin Agility Course in Priff. You can angle your camera and put your mouse cursor in a way where you can simply 1 click the agility course, no need to move the cursor at all. You can simply relax, use mousekeys to click in one position(to make sure you don't accidentally move the cursor) and just watch tv/movies without really paying attention.
The only annoying thing is that the agility course gives rewards, so you will have to empty your inventory once in a while. Pretty sure this exists to stop autoclickers.
Did they change the World Wakes quest? It shows up in my quest book as done, but I don't have the required skills for it.

Maybe I should get Divination higher than 47. Then I'll get this too.
Well... not the 1500 total but still.
I've been slowly making my way up to being able to do plague's end. Eugh. I have most skills hovering in the <10 levels range but fuck me man, it's going to cost so much gold, none of these skills make enough money to offset the cost of construction/herblore/summoning. I'm tempted to sell my third age ranger top just to fund it but idk what I'd get out of that deal really. Just a huge waste either way.
Throne of Misc. comfortably funded all my questing and light skilling needs for so long, not anymore I guess.

there is double xp happening in a month :v:

thank god. Between the bxp from minigame weekend and stealing creation spotlight and double XP I might get shit done on a reasonable time-frame and budget.
Has anyone here done birthright of a chaos dwarf with melee and have some tips?
I take way too much damage to do it and I really don't want to do it with mage or range if it's possible to melee.

Also I'm getting close to my first 99 since I started playing soon 10 years ago

Would this be a good game for someone who can put a few hours in here or there? Haven't played since 2008 so i'm curious about getting back into it.

I dunno. Depends on how far you want to get. If you don't have any lofty goals, it should be fine, but if you wanna be a high level in rs3 or osrs you're gonna have to put a good bit of time into it, same with doing higher level questing and shit. But as long as you know what you're gonna be doing in those few hours, you should be fine.

It's a good casual game, you can reach 99 in all skills within a couple of days playtime!
I recently got back into this game and I have to say I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. I started playing back around like 2006 or earlier and I played a tiny amount several years ago, but now I finally gave it a long try and yeah, I like it. The combat is much different than I remember but I like it. It's really surreal going into what I think are new areas and then slowly realizing I remember the place. It just looks really different now. Blah blah, anyways it's cool!
One thing I noticed is that levels seem to go up really fast, is that just me remembering wrong or is that different?

the xp requirements are the same, but there tends to be better training methods that give more xp since most of rs3 is late game related

*So long as you throw $13,000 USD at MTX.
Is it worth coming back?
Haven't played since late 2015.
What's new? What's still annoying? Is F2P OSRS still pointless?
