Two quests away from quest cape :v:
Which two quests? Good luck man, quest cape is my real only accomplishment in OSRS. Unless you are talking about RS3 which I bet is a lot harder to quest cape.
I'm talking about RS3, I barely ever play osrs
The two quests are Children of Mah and Siliske Endgame
Yeah idk what any of that is but good luck and god speed.
Ah man, I love the way they've written Sliske. He's a great villain.
Reminds me of a Bond villain, but harder to take down.
sliske is alright but feels pretty neutered since I'm sure jagex originally wanted more gods to die through things like world events but underestimated how many people hated those. So he didn't really end up doing as much as I think jagex wanted him to do.
I barely kept up with it, but some friends I have in the Scrying Pool speculated that the original goal was to have Sliske establish himself as the only remaining god, and the player character would have to take him down. I think that'd be a much more interesting and focused storyline.
Still not a bad character, though. Feels like a supervillain.
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Sliske. It's half because I don't like the "haha I am the masterful ruseman but I am also tricksy and sly like a coyote" archetype, and half because his plotline killed off both of my favorite gods who I wished would have gotten more stuff to do with. I can see why people would like him, though.

gettin tired of your shit, catspeak amulet.
World-hop?
Isn't he in different places on different worlds
Is this a good reward for an easy clue scroll?

Wizard hat (g) is pretty decent, unless prices are absolutely fucked. It used to be worth quite a bit.

realized I was doing something wrong after 10 world hops and found out you gotta turn the whiskers for it to even work
My OSRS wealth is accumulated from mindgames with dicer and assorted con artists

1m Isn't a lot in RS3 because of Zimbabwe level inflation of gold. 1m is pocket change nowadays lol. Still pretty good for a clue scroll, I always get stuff under 100k

Right now I'm amassing stuff for double XP weekend. Really need to get my summoning, prayer and herblore up.
[editline]31st January 2017[/editline]
what the hell altars aren't subject to double xp weekend?
[editline]31st January 2017[/editline]
literally every decent source of prayer xp is restricted wtf

What changed from around 2013? I just bought a dragon pickaxe and have around 1.5m left, which has been more than enough for me so far.
Back in 2012, I remember I barely had 300k and it was unbearable.
1 mil can still get you a lot, its just that there are more sources of moneymaking and more high level items so it doesn't feel like a lot anymore. jagex even said that your money today is worth about as much as it used to be in 07. the only inflation has been with some low level items and things like seeds being garbage prices because of how bosses drop so many of them.

Yeah, let me go and buy a party hat for 80M!
Yeah, let me go and buy a party hat for 80M!
That's more nostalgic value that actual value and the fact that they are low in number now, since a party hat has no real value in the sense that it's not useful for anything.

the money itself is, I never said the items are.

No, the gold is also way less valuable than it was back in 07-10. $ / gp ratio is way lower today than it was just a couple of years ago.
EOC killed any sort of variety in playstyle and gear, which made the value of low-mid tier and niche items go down in price significantly. Yeah, you can buy claws for dirt cheap now, but that's because they're practically useless. Anything that isn't T80-90+ is practically useless, minus a few exceptions.

and yet there are tons of items worth almost exactly the same today as they where 10 years ago? EOC didn't kill variety in gear at all, that just comes with powercreep with high level items. 'variety' in osrs isn't that common with high level players either, you'll see people walking around with the same couple of setups regardless. the jmods themselves said that the economy is extremely stable and gold is worth the same amount it is now as it was years ago, I'm just sayin. The rest comes with years of max players doing moneymaking, but theres also a lot of new players still around buying up items. So saying it has 'zimbabwe levels of inflation' is plain wrong.

I don't know how you can say that EOC didn't kill gear variety when it obviously did, lol.
With the introduction of Evolution of Combat, Jagex consolidated gear in to set tiers, removing special attacks(which would later make a lackluster return) There was no longer a distinct difference between a Dragon scimitar, Dragon dagger and Dragon claws. Unique and niche weapons such as the Hand Cannon, Korasi Sword, Dark Bow, Dragon Spear lost their unique abilities and became the same as any other weapon in their respective tier.
They did a better job with armour variety, but even then they fucked several things up. Many armours lost their unique flavour, best example are the PVP armours(Zuriel, Statius & Vesta) which were made redundant and practically useless. Much of the customization of gear was removed, you could no longer mix ranged armour with melee armour without suffering major penalties. Now you just slap on your highest level armour specialized in that specific combat style and your good to go.
The introduction of dual-wielding made shields and defenders useless outside of certain high level PVM scenarios. Changes to how prayer regeneration and prayer bonus functioned pretty much made prayer specific gear useless aswell.
I hope OSRS introduces some interesting ideas in future items.
Like the new shield and bow? More crazy stuff like that! Doesn't have to be OP, but something to change up the game. Even new special attack weapons would be cool.
Yeah, that new Dinh's Bulwark is such a cool item. Sure, it might be niche, but it's a cool item and there's nothing else like it.
I'll never forgive them for butchering void armor into...whatever it is they did with it
what about good old rune armor, it's so ugly in rs3
To be honest, I'm fine with the appearance of the basic metal armors. They all have their own interesting styles, and aren't too overdesigned (though Adamant and Rune armor are really pushing it). The ranger sets are almost universally pretty nice. However, I hate pretty much all of the Magic sets above Tier 1. I have no idea why people like the WoW aesthetic.
Guess I'm never getting the QP cape.
I can't get past the part of Silske's Endgame where I need to fight Noman, Linza and Gregorvik.
I can only kill Nomad if I focus him first, then I use about half my food.
The rest of my food is used up getting like 20k hp down on Greg.
Anyone got any good tips for me? I am using melee btw
Level up, keep trying, watch guides.
I'm 99/90/85/92 atm, I guess I can put it on the shelf until all 99's
