Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version

For that fight I used a shield and heavily spammed defensive abilities to mitigate damage. Reflect, debilitate and so on did wonders.
I might give that a show next time I go back, thanks for the tip.
Guess I'm never getting the QP cape.
I can't get past the part of Silske's Endgame where I need to fight Noman, Linza and Gregorvik.
I can only kill Nomad if I focus him first, then I use about half my food.
The rest of my food is used up getting like 20k hp down on Greg.
Anyone got any good tips for me? I am using melee btw
Don't use melee, use range, or alternatively magic/soulsplit/blood necklace, and bring a magic defender with for the shield abilities.
I have nearly no experience in range, I guess I will have to practise some if I can't do it with melee.
For now, I'm gonna get my stats a bit higher before I go back again.
I'm 99/90/85/92 atm, I guess I can put it on the shelf until all 99's
Don't forget to use a Pack Yak with extra supplies.
Pretty sure gathering skills do get better with higher levels.
yea you do gather a bit faster, but not enough to really make it worthwhile, especially in rs3.
I thought we were talking about osrs? Unless rs3 also has a woodcutting guild.
Oh ok I see. I dunno then.
cutting magics is just something easy to do while afk, better than doing nothing. only have to click like once every minute if you're lucky
Got extremely lucky last week. I did some easy clue scrolls and got 3 Team capes. Total worth was 9,5 mil.
My best clue ever is 4.2 mil, 3 God pages
my best clue so far was just a few days ago

Wow, still can't believe how worthless ranger boots are in RS3.

It's fucked up when you see how cheap Ranarrs are and pretty much any seed is.
IIRC there's a special use option you can use even on ironmen to give them the bond.
It's possible to trade bonds to an osrs ironman, right?
you can't trade in a traditional sense, but you can walk up to the ironman on a different character and use it on them to redeem the 14 days. just multi log the two accounts. you can also buy bonds with gold on an ironman at the g.e if i'm not mistaken
Coming back, I remember what a hassle it was to train skills, although I'm doing a lot more grinding than my 12 year old self did. Getting my farming up to 63 is especially a hassle and crafting is super expensive (I have around 10m total right now, skipping gear).
Meanwhile, in less than a month of starting divination, it's my highest skill at 80 tied with woodworking and fletching. I wish more skills were as easy to train.

Aim to get the stats to get in to Prifddinas, which is the high level city in the game. Plenty of new, very AFK higher level training methods are available there. Such as Harp Crafting(Free, AFK Crafting XP)

You're supposed to passively level up farming as you play through the game. do some quests to unlock more patches. Fruit Patches are pretty low maintenence, however you shouldn't go up for the highest crops like Papayas/Magic trees due to the sheer prices of their seeds/protection costs. unless you're so high level that you're only using the Papaya trees for picking fruit with Giant Ents.
Lleyta, Herb Habitat and Prifddinas all has 1 fruit patch that you could make use of, besides the usual 4. you're supposed to suppliment your cash stack by synergizing Herb runs into your usual alotment crops. thugh when you have Falador Hard (elite?) you may as well plant White lillies inside the flower patches and forego using sweetcorn/watermelon seeds and use some combat seeds like Sunchokes for the Farming+Str exp. Explorer's Ring/Ardougne Cape/Ectophial are nice teleport items, also Witchdoctor Mask (or Juju spirit bags if you don't have the levels) for the Herb Habitat Fruit/Juju Herb patches.
You might also want to do some Slayer/Quests to break up the monotony.

I guess farming was a bad example, but I just started doing yew trees after getting to level 60 and the maintenance costs are just horrible. Is doing it without paying a good way to go?

If you don't pay protection costs then chances are the trees might die. If you really have to use higher levelled stuff, just be prepared to cover the costs. if you're not on often or do high level moneymaking, it's probably better to do lower things. Farming is kind of simple for some things: you get seeds from Kingdom/Slayer/Bossing/Triskellions, pay money for protection crops then whilst those grow, grow other types of things like Herbs. Also, there is Rapid Growth, which lets you skip a growth stage per Tree/Fruit/Herb patch a day (but not Elder, Calquat or Spirit), though it needs access to Prifddinas & Light Within to even cast it.
There's always Warbands, though i never actually did the mini so im unsure how quick it is to actually get farming XP from there. you can't really force farming really, you could excessively pay tons of GP with little payout other than the 99, or you can just be slightly resourceful. Farming just supplements your moneymaking.
Speaking of which, XP weekend is coming up. if you don't want to be stuck with unsellable (besides -5%~ GE) might be good to clean those herbs now, though im unsure if people would go for Unfs. then when the XP weekend ends, try buying processed items below market/alch value to get a profit out of it. on the last XP weekend, i managed to buy 1k Air Battlestaves before prices got back up. Think you can still Alchrun though, which is pretty nice.
Also, speaking of Calquat. Poison Ivy bushes are disease free by default for several years, before they removed the payment costs since it did nothing. but you can use 8 Poison Ivy berries to cover the cost of one Calquat. ignoring the cost of the berries, Calquats is like 1.04GP per XP though it takes 21~ hours to grow. a part of farming is minimizing transit time and making as much use out of your available patches as you can. the moneycrops is probably Cacti Spines and Morchella if you've done Desert Hard and Morytania Elite since you can get disease-free/double cacti and Morchella respectively. the double Morchella perk works in elven lands but not the protection.
When you're a high farming level, then you could actually plant Morchella. also God Grapes, though the prices are pretty excessive for individual seeds and only Saradomin/Zamorakian wine is sellable. unsure if people even grows hops, which is a shame since you need Krandorian Hops to pay to protect grapevines.
EDIT: Giant Ents is good for fruit, bushes, cacti, belladonna and crystal blossoms but it's only a 35% chance of double picks. though Wolpertinger will always double bush picks as well as the experience. if you don't have it, Greenfingers aura might be great, espcially for Herbs/Grapevines. you traditionally use Ent after your main farm run when you pick fruit/bushes.

So I may have been absent for a while...
double xp is on boys
time to grind out
If you have a buttload of Corrupt ore, you can use augmented hammers whilst smelting. no idea if it works on other metal types or what, or just corrupt/bars. EDIT: Urns? no idea if corrupt works on those either.

Working on 99 fletching since making magic shortbows is still a profit
Will get 99 prayer probably tomorrow.
Will spend the rest of the time on FM I think.
Easy to afk is great.

Been doing Agility for the past couple of weeks and it's so satisfying to finally hit 1K marks.
Is there any way to see how much XP one has gained during the double weekend in total?
