Isn't group dungeoneering p dead these days? I remember going to the worlds for that years ago and it was a ghost town. Solo dungeoneering is worse than runecrafting despite being way faster
yes, group dg is basically dead. All you'll find are speedrunners or people who want you to pay millions for floor rushing
Are there actually any perks to Dung though? I always look through the skills tab but all it ever has is a whole bunch of shit you can make if you're in there, and barely anything worthwhile using outside of Dung. Getting to 80+ Runecrafting was a lot less boring than Dung.

Dungeoneering is in one of those higher-tiered capes for its intended use. basically it works like an infinite Hoardstalker Ring, you can teleport to any Resource Dungeon. by tiers, i'm mostly judging them from direct usage or the effects they have. you have lots of spots you could teleport to, and all im thinking of is the speed difference+safety in enchanting Fire/Water orbs rather than risking your life with Air orbs. High capes (or just to stick inside Max/Comp) Invention (just for charge reductions) Attack (sporadically prevents equipment from degrading) Practical Capes Fishing (randomly 2x catch fish) Fletching (randomly string bows) Mining (invisible 3 boost) Divination (randomly saves products. for stuff like Shiny Bowls on the arc. it means you're only using 5 Wobblgong oil instead of 10.) Magic (swaps spellbooks at banks. maybe good for repairing pouches on daily Runecrafting charges?) Woodcutting (increase nests/geode odds) Hunter (works as Hunter potion in Herblore Habitat) Farming (randomly, it instapicks all the crops. no one plants multi-pick veg at high levels. you mainly want to use this so that you can squeeze a few more picks in a single Farming Juju dose) Lower tier capes are what i dub as "whatcapes". Prayer (houses always counts as both burners lit) Crafting (doesn't need thread to make things that needs it) Theving (only here if you don't have Ardy 3/4 outside of town. only reduces stun time. Ardy cape reduces catch odds pickpocketting) Ranged (if placed in Max/Comp. since you'll have Ava's effects anyway) Smithing (works as goldsmith gauntlets. only good if you have Magic golem suit and you're synergizing getting Smithy along with Rocky w/Superheatform) Defence (acts as Sign of Life. but you could just hold one, or use Desert Pantheon aura) There's a few more capes, but they're situational.

I'm not even angry... I'm being so sincere right now. Even though you broke my code, and killed me. And tore me to pieces. And threw every piece into a fire. As they burned it hurt because I was so happy for you! Go ahead and leave me... I think I'd prefer to stay inside... Maybe you'll find someone else to help you. Maybe Java client? That was a joke. Ha Ha. Fat Chance! Anyway this nxt client is great! It's so delicious and moist! Poor attempt to sum up monday's NXT 2.2.4 update.
http://services.runescape.com/m=news/dev-blog-fossil-island?oldschool=1 So with ultra compost and the new herb farming method I'd be worried about the profit margins of herb runs. If Ultra compost works like I think it does this means less herb death/more yield which means more ranarrs entering the game. Same deal with the new herb farming method. Also if the new wyverns drop wyvern bones I'd imagine the price of those would dip a lot as well. Which could have an effect on the price of lower tier bones?
I highly doubt Ultracompost are going to affect prices of herbs by much, if at all. Zeah patch didn't affect prices, neither did the Harmony Isle patch. The Kandarin diary also didn't affect prices and that gives a substantial boost to your herb yield. We'll also have to see what Ancient Wyverns drop. They require a significantly lower Slayer level to kill, so I imagine the drop table will reflect that. Wyverns aren't good money because of the bones, but because of the slew of misc. drops that they have. Granite boots and sword will probably D.O.A.
I can see the granite boots seeming some use but the sword is useless due to the longsword attack speed on top of the brine sabre already being a thing. I'm surprised they didn't try to give it a special attack to compensate.
I doubt boots will be used much. Most people stick 40/42/45 Defence and opt to use Rune boots, the rest go straight to 60/70+. The people who will be using Granite boots are the same people who use Granite armour.
I am more worried about that mining skill replacing all other methods of mining. Blast mining and etc. may become irrelevant. Having said that, I think it'll a fun activity as I love the group skilling activities, I just think it would leave dead content in its arrival.
3t Granite mining will always be the best option, unless Jagex fucks the game up. 120K XP/hr vs 85K. All other forms of mining are already pretty irrelevant.
Huh, so that fossil island idea did go somewhere. Neat.
And let's be honest, blast mining is like 1M/hour, so it's not that bad.
If miningtodt passes I hope the mid-level XP is nerfed a bit. 85k for 99 is... Fine I guess but I don't know how I feel about 80k for level 85.
Jeez my bank is a frickin mess. Best way to value it? Its giving me anxiety tbh, idk what the hell my 15 year old self was up to.

I only logged in occasionally to check in on my account, but it's been probably around 10 years since I seriously played. It is nice coming back to try with membership again thanks to the Twitch Prime promo though.
Are we allowed to talk about OSRS in here? The specific thread seems dead. Anyway, got back into the game yesterday after finally, after 11 years, getting Jagex to unmute my main. So hopped onto OSRS and went from Lvl 3 to Lvl 44 in little over a day. Shit took me weeks when I was little.
The way I see it MLM is what you do until you get the miner outfit and coal/gem bag. If you're absolutely inhuman and want 99 mining ASAP you do 3 tick. If you want profit you do blast mining and if you want decent xp/gold you do springtodt.
MLM is the mining equivalent to woodcutting. It's semi-afk, decent XP and decent money. Not as good money as Blast Mining or as good XP as 3t Mining, but it's a middle of the road method which requires pretty much no effort and little attention(Especially since the recent update to how MLM veins function)
Are we allowed to talk about OSRS in here? We realized fast that there's not much point to having two seperate threads. It'd be two dead threads instead of one on life support.

I have around level ~60 woodcutting EDIT: Also, is Fishing no longer considered profitable? It was my favourite skill back in the day
So, what are some ideal spots for woodcutting? I have around level ~60 woodcutting EDIT: Also, is Fishing no longer considered profitable? It was my favourite skill back in the day
Woodcutting guild is the best location to woodcut. If you want to AFK with decent XP, Yew trees are probably the best choice. Once you hit level 90 you can chop Redwoods, which are better XP and even more AFK, but money is rather weak. If you just want XP, powercutting Teak trees is the way to go. Fishing is very AFK and is profitable. Monkfish are about 30K XP/hr and around 100K GP/hr, requires 62 fishing and Swan Song quest completed. Not very good money but it's AFK and XP is pretty decent. At level 85 fishing you can fish Dark Crabs in the Wilderness, around 40K XP iirc and around 300-400K GP/hr and very AFK. I'd recommend you stay away from fishing Sharks, they're a pretty big noobtrap.
I'm at 70 fishing, doing lobs at Fishing Guild until 76. I was going to do sharks.....
Sharks can be pretty nice, though it's going to be like 10-15K XP/hr and 70K GP/hr. They were pretty nice when Sharks were like 1500gp each, but now that they're under 800 each, it's pretty meh and while it's AFK, the money and experience is pretty dogshit. If you want to AFK while fishing, doing Swan Song and fishing Monkfish is probably the best option for lower levels. Or just power Barbarian fish/fly fish for xp. At 70 fishing you're getting more XP and GP per hour at lobsters than you will ever get fishing sharks.
I don't care about the money, I just want to get to 99 quick. I can't do Swan Song, I don't have even close to the stats for it.
If you just want to get 99 ASAP. Barbarian fishing is the way to go, really simple method now when shift-click drop is a thing.
Guys I'm so torn between crafting Astrals for cash or Bloods for XP (and a little less cash) What do? Level 82RC. EDIT: Also, Miscellania, does the output in herbs/wood, etc. payout well for the investment? Is there something I should focus on harvesting there to get a good income?
I know in RS3 it's a decent way to make a few mil a week. It's not the best way to make money, but if you've got the cash sitting around, why not? Maples-priority with herbs picking up the slack apparently makes the most.

Fantastic money and pretty fast xp too (if you do it well efficiently using cwars bank).
Astrals are much much better at 82. What's the fastest way to do Astrals? I figured the fastest was just Moonclan teleport and use the bank, do the 10 second run back to the altar.
I wouldn't even consider money as a factor when it comes to deciding which WC method you want to use. While you might end up with a few hundred thousand coins in logs by the end of the day if you absolutely no life it, the actual coin to time invested ratio is so poor I wouldn't even consider it a "pro" of things like Redwoods, Yews and Magics etc. The amount of time you'd save powercutting hardwoods would probably be worth more than the money you make AFKing if you don't end up feeling like blowing your brains out by 92 :v:
Cutting Yews is a decent AFK money maker if you're a lower level or just starting out. It gives you roughly the same GP/hr as smithing cannonballs(Around 100-150K) on top of also being heavily AFK and decent XP. Also Redwoods is a really nice WC method, while the money is pretty low, like 60-70K GP/hr, the XP is pretty great at around 60-70K XP/hour. A bit lower than non-2t Teak woodcutting, but it's heavily AFK, it's a fair trade off. How valuable these methods are depends entirely on what type of player you are and what you value. AFKing is always going to have an intrinsic value, it's going to allow me to play other game/study/do other stuff while still progressing in the game. Pretty much all my in-game time recently has been spent at Monkfish, not because it's good XP or good money, but because it's really AFK and allows me to focus on IRL stuff. If we start boiling down the game to only the efficient methods, discarding everything else, pretty much every skill will make you want to blow your brains out. Like the efficient method of Runecrafting is doing Lava runes to 99 and spend the time saved doing Zulrah, Double nats is an inefficient use of your time.
When I hit 75 WC I just started cutting magics at the WC guild while playing anything else on another monitor tbh I always end up with a couple hundred thousand and a huge chunk of xp whenever I'm done
Made over 70 mil in 40 minutes off TH keys, spending only $40 on the earn keys section (stuff I actually liked and was going to purchase regardless) Homechef(19.80) 364 Swagbucks Hulu offer ($9) 172 Gamefly($9) 165 Jeez, I thought RS was against RWT?
