Guys if you are serious about playing this game for a while, have membership and a total level of 1800+ you could try joining the clan I'm a part of, its Effortless Souls. They have a really good citadel and the chat community is very good.
Gotcha in there, sorry about that. @ErrorProxy, I made that suggestion on the forums already. @salty peanut v2, What's your IGN? Clan name is "Facepunch Studios" @Proffessor, You can TECHNICALLY play Runescape on a tablet via a desktop streaming service (IE - Splashtop 2)
Sent you a PM but haven't gotten an invite yet. IGN = Lyonidis
IGN Tech Captain, if we're still doing this.
I spent $8 on a month of membership and so far I've been enjoying myself. The people I run into are different than they used to be in 2004 RS, a hello of a lot nicer than I'm used to. I've been training mage on the cow field near Lumbridge, and for some reason it attracts everybody's attention when they see a low level like me just killing cows. I've talked to multiple people and added a few buddies to my friend list. One guy crafted spider silk robes for me and another flat out gave me a free 300k.

not that many people uses multicannons anymore; you'll probably find better money elsewhere
not that many people uses multicannons anymore; you'll probably find better money elsewhere
Still make a good profit and train my smithing.
just walking around the world and hearing all of this newly remastered music is fantastic
I don't play RS anymore but I'd be tempted to do this. Although the redone classic Runescape theme (I don't know what it's called), I don't really like. It just doesn't sound right to me.
I bought 200 crystal keys for 40k before i lost membership, as well as 10k sharks, i was at 2m now i'm at 12m including guthan and dharoks, as well as a whip and DFS.
Just bought 25k maple logs. The grind starts here.
We need more people in the clan! PM Xianthane, It gets real lonely with only 3-4 people on the chat.
Just bought 25k maple logs. The grind starts here.
i have 22k maples from my kingdom, and 94 fletching :v: i need to get some membership soon, here I come 99 fletching

I remember being laughed at when I traveled to the dueling arena in my first week clad in full bronze at only combat level 10, and challenging a combat level 80 guy to a duel.
Surprised no one has posted this yet... "For the next couple of weeks we’re going to focus on feedback, improvements and fixing any snagging issues that remain from launch. August is going to be another epic month for RuneScape. Mod Mark will reveal all in next week’s Behind the Scenes newspost, but it’s going to involve the next Sixth Age quest, a new skill and fantastic new rewards in an upgraded loyalty program!" Source: http://services.runescape.com/m=news/runescape-3-first-impressions To be fair, how many people really was going to read the post after Runescript mentioned it between foreign language versions of newsposts, personally im looking forward to the new quest, assuming it's Missing Presumed Death. Unsure what to say about the loyalty program...thought Jagex thought that they milked it dry hence the open-ended Solomon and Squeal Updates, might be potentially Overpowered for people who didn't spend up all their points during that sale a year or so ago though, would love it if they made the vanity clothing half price or make it so that people who bought them before the update had both the item and override versions. The clothes are generally more detailed compared to other things, the only thing that held them back was that they were made during a time that there was no override system.
I might grind the shit outta the skill when it comes out if you can buy it so to speak (like fletching)
New skillcape color choices, go vote on the website.
What skill is that?
divination of course
No, it's AFK'ing in Varrock
The problem I've always had with RS is that I could never get it to work with my GPU. I'm on a laptop (with a 670m that can withstand much more intensive games), but the game always decides to use my integrated graphics card. I've tried setting my browser to use my GPU automatically, same with DLing the standalone client without the browser, but neither works.
I haven't managed to get it working with the HTML5 beta, but you go into nvidia control panel, add JAVA.exe to the custom list of programs and select your preferred nvidia card. I have a 670mx.
Today was a good day. finally got my 90+ milestone cape and i won a lucky spectral spirit shield on the wheel. Got too excited and claimed it though, could have converted to 11m
wow you really missed out there
I want to try this again but I get a black screen when I start. The audio plays but nothing else
So I'm level 73 Defence and would like to get to 75-80. Where do I go to level? Keep in mind I've not played since 07.

Slayer is good fun IMO
So PKING is pretty horrid as of late cause of the eoc.
Word of advice to anyone who's thinking of using Duke Horacio for some free xp; he apparently gives it as bonus xp, i picked Dungeoneering because it was the skill closest to leveling up..but i hate Dungeoneering with a passion...so i have 24k unused bonus xp that just going to rot away... If i knew it was like that, i probably would've used it on Construction or Hunter, just because i actually whittle those skills down when it's the daily task. And im not loving the world event so far, collecting tears is bothersome, its incredibly boring to sit at rocks, waiting for it to degrade after realizing that it degraded 10 seconds ago, only to run to another rock that the people just mined. Fishing isn't different neither since i randomly stop fishing randomly...which is asking a lot considering that im only really after titles/armor/emotes, we're limited to collecting 3k tears a day and one of the things costs 20k at least... For what they expected to be beloved is just hated even more, a new interface isn't faring with the audience and the subpar event just concludes it, thank god we're getting at least 2 pieces of actual content in august.
Go collect other stuff, like fishing. Sure, the amount of tears you get is vastly lower, but you get more exp and make a profit off what you fish.
Did they change how combat level was measured or something? Last time I logged on I was 98, now I'm 161.
