Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version

I enjoy the quests but I cant stand grinding levels for long periods of times. I just wanna do all quests (and get a few things like an inferno adze) - I give no shits as to getting 99s. Yet if I wanna complete all quests, my stats need to look like this:

I probably wouldn't mind crafting/smithing tons of armor, but it feels so pointless, whatever I make is essentially worthless. I hate leveling shit like herblore and summoning, and stuff like magic I enjoy but are pricey/slow.
Looking at those levels required, most of them aren't too bad in my opinion. But 77 agility would make me want to kill myself for real. 65 agility was bad enough
Every time I try to connect, it says "Your session has expired, press the back button to reload the page". Since the back button goes back (derpeedoo) I press f5 and it does the same shit.
What do?

65 summoning?
70 prayer?
70 construction? (aka expensive or slow as all fuck)
80 smithing?

65 Summoning isn't that high in my opinion, 70 construction isn't too bad (i'd probably go for the slow as all fuck route), with smithing I do the blast furnace and make mithril bolts. It's possible to break even after feathering the bolts and easy to make a lot of progress.
70 prayer I'm not really sure about. I haven't touched it since I got 43 so it's just levelled up from fighting steel dragons and lamp xp. I'm currently working on 85 dungeoneering while I wait for 5500 toadflax to grow and by that time I would have good enough levels to do frost dragons.
Prayer is easy if you have money, just buy a shitton of dragon bones and go to a world with player altars and gain XP that way. Guess you could also do ectofunctus but that takes longer.

Also you have to remember that's the chart for doing all of the quests right off the bat. Almost all of the quests give xp in one or more skills, so yes you still have to grind but it's not as bad as it looks.
can finally superheat stuff, but the training is slow. i don't have the cash to buy up a ton of mithril and coal at once and plow through it... I am making a (slight) profit right now but its so slow needing to buy it, superheat and sell so i can buy again :S
I don't know if there's a minimum level for the Blast Furnace any more, but if there isn't then it's worth doing whatever you're doing there (unless it's smelting gold that you're doing). You will get 100% iron bars from iron ore without a ring of forging and the coal cost of steel, mith, addy and rune is halved so you only need 1 iron and 1 coal for steel.
Completed Biohazard and Underground Pass. Jeez FUCK underground pass, took me an hour to do it just because I failed almost every jump during the last section. Now I need to do Regicide and Roving Elves.
But first, some Darkness of Hallowvale for a different atmosphere.

super heating trains smithing and magic. By buying the mats for a mithril bar I can smith it and sell it for a slight profit. will make large profits at addy/rune
Yeah quests I hated: Underground Pass, Temple of Light II and Regicide.
What do they have in common? Agility and horrible agility obstacles. Especially Underground Pass and Temple of Light II
gotta be honest: agility is really fucking awful. it looked cool, but when i became members i instantly decided it was the most boring skill to train.
but once you have enough of it, it's real useful
A lot of the member's skills can get incredibly boring to train.
I'm looking at you, Farming.
you know you think they would make the members skills the cools ones, you know, to entice people into buying it.
"For only 8 dollars a month, you too can watch potatoes grow!"
But seriously agility should be made in to a minigame. EG if you want to cross a log you need to use left and right to maintain balance.

I actually don't find farming boring to train. It's almost fun in an odd way because you I go and tend to the crops which doesn't take too long, and teleport around doing that to all the crops. And then go and actually train a skill while waiting for 80 minutes or however long.

Is it just me or does it feel like no one ever talks in Runescape anymore? I seem to remember years ago the game seemed a bit more social, but everyone just seems to sit in silence doing whatever they're doing now. Only two people I've talked to today, one of them told me he was sick of black people stealing his logs and I ran away and the other guy was just some newb asking questions about woodcutting. That's more than most days too.
I actually take this back. I joined a clan at random a day or two ago and that ended up being full of a bunch of cool people. Then today a new guy joined the clan who didn't know how to do stuff so I taught him how to get started with farming, including teleporting him to the ardy and catherby lodestones. Then I helped him kill fire giants for a bit and while there a guy came up and offered me to join him doing Zammy at GWD, which I've been wanting to do for ages.
Then our clan just opened up a citadel today and we had loads of us there for the grand opening and we all cut that tree for a while.
Then I went and did some dungeoneering with another guy in the clan, but ended up carrying him so I stopped and saw there was a demon flash mob alert. I showed up just as it died and someone just randomly asked me to go KQ which I've not done before, killed it a few times and then him and his friend wanted to go do Chaos Elemental with me so I promptly left and had to put him on ignore cause he kept bugging me.
Then another flash mob spawned and I got there in time for that one and talked to some people who told me about items I didn't know about that I should have.
Sorry for the wall of text, but for once I actually had an action packed Runescape day, rather than just doing one thing and getting bored out of my mind watching movies.
wow i went from 10 ruencrafting to 54 in like 3 hours casually playing wow runespan is piss easy

That is until you hit 75, then it becomes painfully boring and you never find any decent sources to leech off of.
Never thought I'd get the RC level for Bloods because of how boring it was. Then Runespan came out and all of a sudden I'm nearly 90 in a week and I barely had to do anything. Then the EoC comes out and runecrafting is pretty much worthless.

I've found that range and magic barely even hit anything anymore. Fought some Vampyres with range AND magic and I almost never got hits on them at all. I can understand magic, because it's my lowest combat skill, but ranged is my highest clocking in at 70.
Well it might be an unfair comparison but I hit lots with Mage. I only just found out about Mature Grotworms and I can 2 hit them with magic and they just drop loads of runes items. I did a slayer task of Vampyres using fire surge and was 1-3 hitting them.
I also use a staff, because until new Magic abilities come out that require dual wielding, there's basically no reason to dual wield unless you're using ancients. The damage increase from the staff easily lets me hit over 2k, can quite easily hit over 3k while using metamorphosis

I remember when it first came out, all the people who had spent weeks, nay, months painfully leveling runecrafting were really pissed at all the people who got to level 75 in under 2 days.
So something that I noticed during the Darkness of Hallowvale. Considering the fact that [sp]Guthix is now dead and his edicts are voided[/sp] doesn't that mean that [sp]King Roald can now declare war on the Vampyres?[/sp] I'd like to see a quest on that sometime soon.
For those looking to make money, farming herbs is super easy. I've started playing a bit more and throughout the day I just log on and do a herb run. Takes 5 mins, makes 250k+. I've gone from about 40m to 90m in the past month doing only this. Juju potions and greenfingers aura really help increase profit. Earlier today I got 68 lantadymes from a single run, and after cleaning them, I made a 411k profit!
On the way to 99 fishing~~~~
lobsters, a lot of lobsters

On the way to 99 firemaking, doing Bonfires for charms.

Not just that, but I think also Morytania is going to spill over into Misthalin now (I think it's Misthalin, or Kandarin. Where ever Varrock is).

Toadflax is a relatively low level seed (38 off the top of my head). You generally get a minimum of 5 herbs from each plot, the seed only costs 1k and the herbs go for over 4.5k so it's 21k profit per seed.
