Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version - Games

so divination is rather enjoyable. it forces people to be social by confining the training to certain areas of course with the runescape community being what it is the results vary

I got 98 fletching yesterday, so I don't know if I can be fucked to try divination yet.

Anyone notice with the Divination update and no one at the Battle of Lumbridge, the NPCs there are in massive clumps?

Divination is perfectly fine as a skill (it's just like woodcutting, fishing or mining) The PROBLEM is that there is ONE way to train it and VERY few rewards. In addition, it's not nearly as large or game-changing as the last two skill releases. Dungeoneering and Summoning were HUGE and they really changed the game. Divination is a D&D.

So, I tried contacting them to see if I could figure out my ban reason, but they haven't replied. All I keep on getting is that damned automatic reply. I don't think I should email about it being hacked, since I have no idea if I was or not. I know they have a mailing address, but do you guys know if they have a phone number I could call. This is getting increasingly frustrating. I have know idea why I was banned, they don't allow to see what happened, they won't allow me to appeal it, and even if I could, apparently they don't even read them. Using the forum is probably a bad idea too, since it seems everyone there is just going to dick suck Jagex and flame anyone trying to appeal a ban.

The RS community in any case is pretty much relegated to that of minecraft at some points, because individual thinking doesn't count for shit and most of the forum users are Jagex yes-men anyway.

I spent an entire summer getting my account back three years after it was hacked and muted for spam; took a lot of effort to A) get in touch with an actual person at Jagex support and B) convince that person I really was the owner of that account and C) Convince them I didn't do it Basically came down to a buncha 250-character sob stories on their "lost account" page until I got a legit response. Didn't help that I couldn't remember many of my passwords and had no email address associated with the account, nor had I paid for membership for years before trying to get that account back. Yeah Jagex CS is a joke. For most purposes people will give you the same email address to contact and you can't ever be sure your email is even read unless you get a reply. Some actual phone support would be much appreciated by lots of people.

What's the most useful things to spend loyalty points on? I have 23,500 but don't know what to do with them

Is it worth getting into runescape now?

Only things i wish jagex would do is let us have more control over the interfaces, would be nice if we could stick submenus into our own tabs for personal use to mimic the old "stones" system, perhaps even introduce some sort of numerical alphabetical system that Guild Wars uses for Move Sets, but instead of Move Sets, they can be used for configurations; people then could share their codes on fansites so people can personally rank and comment on them, if Jagex is worried that it might break in different sized applets, the person copying the code can either select it to approximate positions on the screen, or play in fixed screen.

I was spending time pickpocketing and crap and then discovered a clue scroll from a H.A.M guy, this proceeded to net me a Zamorak page 3 and some firelighters and runes for my trouble. Not bad for a random hour's work. Though, most of my time of late was spent on Terraria digging out all the resources of a large world.

Just started playing again recently. Found out they had veteran capes. Turns out my character qualifies for the 10 year cape. Too bad it looks like ass. Anyway I'm looking for a clan and shit to do. A bunch of my quests got reset so I have to go around and do them all again, so I figure that's a good place to start. Man this game has changed so much... example: tried runespan for the first time. Turns runecrafting into a joke. Also tried my hand at some construction, that is a hell of a money sink. Wish I had held onto my white phat, fucker is worth 2.1bil now...

If you really got bored out of your tree trying to train it, it might be worth trying to kill stuff which drop big bones, and waiting on long and curved bones to drop, getting them to the guy at Dorgesh-Kaan who trades construction XP and gold for long and curved bones. It makes a change from power training and costs nothing too. Well, except for the price of your food.

If it costs too much I can just hit the fishing guild for a bit. I unlocked divine storm for use yesterday and holy shit does that spell hit like a truck. My character was really weak combat-wise for a long time. I had focused mostly on skilling, so I missed out on a lot of questing. I should probably get caught up, especially for opening up Miscellania and the various travel systems. And Heroes' Quest...

Maybe I'll go Vyrewatch burning tomorrow instead of playing Terraria, I love opening up the graves in Paterdomus columbarium a LOT for some reason as opposed to other stuff. Well, having a chunk in the bank and a lot of rares lets you do whatever you like anyway except for updates.

So I've decided to get back into Runescape and i have to say I'm pretty impressed. I'm playing on a newbie alt account I made awhile ago just to look at the game. Thing is when I made it I didn't think I'd be coming back so I just smashed my keyboard for the name. If things go well, I'll get membership and change my name to a better one. I was permabanned for macroing and trying to sell my account over a period of time where I didn't play, so I'm assuming my account was hijacked. I put in an appeal to the charges two months ago and nothing yet. :(
