Any of you play 07? Add me Elnar0.
God dammit, of course I had to come back when Fist of Guthix is completely dead.
Now I'll never have best f2p melee gloves...
Nothing much happened in the past few days, blew up my chinchompa and even got 95 Fishing, the chin itself had 2.2m, 3 uncut Dstones and a few herbs ontop of the gravestone, really should get back to Divination....it's really lacking at 35, but Battlefield is less attention intensive than Div is by a longshot, no hard feelings there for missing stuff like Metal unlike losing Chronicles...plus those spots lasts longer than wisps and im getting xp in fishing...which is great.

I'm buying as much coal as I can right now. The price has been going down since June and I have a gut feeling it'll start rising back up sooner or later.
We should have an event where we all equip the chicken suit and go around declaring ourselves "Proud supporters of Armadyl"
Zaros shall reign supreme from the shadows
Anyone play the 2007 runescape? Just made a new account once I found out you could still play it, it's like being 12 years old all over again.

i'm auriolas, add me up.
I just didn't feel that connected to RS07, It was good for the first day, but i got there a bit too late when the majority of the playerbase who even played it did the Waterfall quest and got lots of attack levels.
Messed about, synergized Chefs' Assistant then did both restless ghost+Rune Mysteries, when i got to Aubury, i also made sure to milk my attack stat up on the training dummy in the house near the Museum, then got 9 Hunter/Slayer from quizzes, then went back to Traiborn..i think.
Or maybe i got the Skull whilst getting the parcel from Traiborn or whoever, also did the drop trick for the Air Talisman at the Duke...just to get bankholders.
Afterwards it was just running about farming, and churning up craft/cooking levels passively at Catherby, the game was at a point when people was just selling raw fish to the fish store and i used those to level up cooking whilst fattening up a cat, possibly for Ratcatchers eventually, getting Karamja Gloves 1 or more would enable you to sell items to Karamja shops for better prices, which charter ships counts for....if there's still shops full of logs, it might be useful to buy them and fletch into (U)'s just to sell back, even better, Charter Ships sells seaweed/pineapples/soda ash/sand and even ECTOPLASM.
You can even be more efficient by hoarding your buckets and use them for farming, the charter ship is important for synergy...combine recipe for disaster Dwarf and Goblins sidequest, remember to get an Orange from gnome stronghold if you're thinking of training agility, maybe you could also do Goblin Diplomacy Black Knights fortress if you have the gear to wear but whilst doing Lost Tribe so you can unlock the emotes for Ur-Tag. (?)
I did all that before they did the whole Easter event and random rare drops....
Word of advice, think you should remember not to destroy the map when you do get it in Ratcatchers, think you can still use it to cut Yews after the quest is done, unsure if it gets destroyed, or given away when completed, same goes for the Dwarvish Rock Cake, you should probably make 2 of those during Recipe for Diaster.

Geez 12 year old me wouldn't even be playing 2001 runescape (which is when I started... was grade 8 or so for me? probably 14 then).
I've really been getting the hang of RS3 since I started playing again. Making buttloads of cash and doing recommended and dailys now (I can't believe I wasn't, I got 120k fletching exp from stringing 336 yew shorts. Normally that's about 22-24k exp). Honestly I don't really care that I sold my party hat years ago, it's so easy to make cash that it doesn't matter.
Oh, and a few friends and I have started up a clan citadel. Didn't realize it was going to be that much work... you guys are welcome to join if you like, but don't expect anything too serious, we just hang out and do what we want. Only thing we'll ask is if you do join that you contribute a little bit to the citadel. Any work at all really. Oh, and if you're easily offended don't bother, we are gigantic assholes and it is a miracle we're still allowed to play Runescape hahaha
Runescape now has gold buying lol.

Well, it's a good thing. It's going to hinder the blackmarket from growing and it's going to create a good moneysink. I can see myself picking up a few Bonds after a lucky PVM trip. One lucky day at Nex and you got membership for a few months.
sounds good to me
This is exactly what you can find in EVE online. Works a treat.
How is it a moneysink?
It's a moneysink because once it's traded, it becomes untradable, for it to become tradable again you'd have to pay 10% of the current GE value to unlock it.
Other note, 98 thieving.

Recently got back into runescape. I found this thing:

Why isn't mining like this by default?
Making a range tank in rs07 gonna see how well it does in the wild.

zam zam no :(
he'll be back for unholy book autographs
I love bonds, spent some extra dosh I had today to get some membership.

Decided to train dungeoneering, my lowest skill. 4 dungeons in, I fight an unholy cursebearer and end up getting a celestial catalytic staff. Now if only I could wield it :v:
Wanted to get back into Runescape, really enjoyed the Oldschool a couple of months ago and got my stats higher than my original character.
I haven't played the original Runescape for years now and I was thinking what to do if I get my membership, continue the original Runescape or Oldschool?
Reason I played Oldschool is because I know what to do.

I've been playing RS on and off since 2001. I personally like the new RS, but not everyone does. You're right though, it felt confusing at first... but you pick it up pretty quickly. My advice: learn what daily tasks are and start doing them. Lots of experience, and generally speaking they pay for themselves. Example: I got "Mine Adamantine Ore (0/7)" as mine yesterday. So I mined some addy, and gave it to the Quartermaster as part of the task. I got a runite ore and 12k back (about 4k more than the 7 addy was worth), as well as a few thousand bonus mining exp. Some of them are more elaborate (and time consuming/expensive) but the rewards are better too. Had smithing one once give me 90k exp, no shit.

Okay, any advise what else I should do with these stats as f2p?

Also, I would still prefer to play Oldschool but is it worth it? I'm not someone that hangs around at the duel arena 24/7 or PKs.
dailies are a fun thing to do and always give you back more than you outlaid to do so (as a rule), so I do them whenever I log on. I don't log on every day but it's something to do while I'm hanging about, but boy has the game changed until you can't recognize it anymore.
Daaaamn I havn't played this in forever. I can't play the old version since I'm not a member but I sure as hell remember how much fun I had. The new one confuses me to all hell. Is the old one worth the money? It doesn't seem to have a whole lot of players on it like it used to. Is the new one still a lot like the old one in some ways? The movements and stuff all feels really weird and clunky to me

I had lots of fun playing oldschool, but that was when it came out, played it for 3 months. Don't know how it is now but I'm going to try it out after I finish my exam week for school.

Old School is worth the money. It's pretty much like teleporting back to 2007, it's a ton of fun. Just started a new character a week ago, got my Mining/Smithing/Crafting to 60 and Woodcutting to 50 and managed to make 2.5m :v:
Jagex should put some server offline to reduce the cost and introduce real F2P, this may increase the amount of players.
anyone playing oldschool? pretty entertaining with GWD
Since the RuneScape 3 update was boring as fuck, I only played it for about an hour. Anyone know if there was any time where Zamorak was winning over Saradomin and, if so, was it because Jagex gave them an advantage?
